Band is just so underrated. Friend of mine listened to the whole under lock and key album this song particular don’t get enough love
("Sgt.J."). "I, was in a Band that played "Breakin the chains." Live." Varied ages liked it enough. We Kept it on the Song list.
Musically excellent, but vocals are annoying

Tooth and Nail is another great album.
Wow freaking nailed the tone on that...gave me cold chills...
A good childhood friend of mine is friends with George Lynch and has made some custom amps for him. We used to listen to Dokken all the time in our high school years. I wish I had learned to play electric guitar in my youth, but I didn't buy my first electric until I was 47 in 2019. I now have 15 of them and am decent enough to start learning some of my favorite 80's rock tunes. This song was one of them. We had a high school band called Nemesis and covered a few Dokken songs. I was the singer.
you friends with Jens Kruse? Kruse Amps? He makes amps for George!
Oh man, so good!
Thank you so much. One of my favourite Dokken tracks and now I can play it. Good man yourself!
Awesome, so glad it was of some help :) thanks for watching 🙏
Just discovered your vid ...Great lesson of a great song ...and stunning 80s tone 👍🏼
Great teaching!
Amazing job my friend at not only mastering Lynchs rhythmic intentions, and sounds, but also at articulating it for us. Thanks mate
Thank you! I hope the video helped, thanks for taking the time to watch :)
Veye-brat-oh. Love the way you say that. Love your white Charvel too. Thanks for the lesson!
😀thanks for watching!
Man... You called up many memories with this... Well done! Worshiped George in my youth, will have to look back at his stuff. Feel inspired again... lol
Thanks for this.
Cheers
+Stephane Chenier :D thanks so much for watching.
Looks like I'm late to the party but I'd like to thank you sir for this awesome lesson on my favorite dokken song.
This guy is a good teacher for this kind of music.
LOVE it. Thank you!
Wooonderfull!!! I played in a Dokken Coverband 40 years ago, forgor all. :)
So now I will come back!!! :):):)
Thank you so much!
Awesome man! Thanks for watching.
Ty... Awesome lesson... Make some more Dokken!
Suena genial , gracias por compartir
I always found it to be 1/4 step down. Tuning a tuner (if yours will go down that low) from A440 to A430 gets you very close (it's technically A428.4 or something like that).
Thank you! Great explanation.
This is awesome mate, very clearly explained, now i can learn those rock songs i've always wanted to play! Thanks heaps \m/
:D thanks for watching hope it helped!
Awesome song. Thanks.
great video mate!
great job....spot on...
Thanks man!
sweet guitar, I have the neon green one and blacked out the hardware.
Thanks Bro great lesson, respect from Donegal!
My pleasure!
Awesome guitar dude.
Thanks! Really been having fun with it :)
Dokken rock 🤘🤘
This was really well done. Not all the lessons of this song capture the right nuance on that second last sequence. Yours did.
PLEASE! MORE DOKKEN!
That's my guitar!!!
do you know where I can find buss and drums track in A tone?
WOW!!! Nice job on the break down of a great 80's band but how are you getting your guitar to sound like that!?!?!? It sounds freaking awesome.
Thanks man! I recorded this with my Victory V30 amp with plenty of treble, the amp can really nail that hod rodded Marshall vibe. A lot of those classic 80s riffs were played on the DG strings which gives things an extra little bite too :)
Thanks for the info. Many on the net but very few have their guitars sound like that. Sounds professional and like Lynch. Thanks for sharing.
Would love to see you breakdown Dokken's "So Many Tears". Another great sounding masterpiece from lynch. Love your attention to detail breaking these down
Such a great song and a great lesson!
Are you still happy with your Charvel? Wondering how it’s held up over the years because I was considering buying one. Take care
Thanks! It's been 'modified' a bit ;) Check out - ruclips.net/video/2DoouRBwBnA/видео.html still one of main guitars tho.
Thanks, I’ll check it out!
Can you pass me the track in standard tuning please?
Well played! What do you think of Charvels raw maple neck? Is'nt it too rough on the hands?
The neck of my San Dimas feels nice and smooth but I did find I never really bonded with the neck on the So Cal I had.
Great! What pickup are you using there?
Thanks! Stock pickups, Seymour Duncan JB in bridge and '59 at neck, Check out ruclips.net/video/OiF1GZe59eM/видео.html for a detailed Demo of the guitar :)
Charvels rule. Which model is that?
It’s a 2016 Pro Mod San Dimas check out ruclips.net/video/OiF1GZe59eM/видео.html
Just have to say kooooool.
