You are a brave man, typing this from a Jacksonville-based FOO about to head up to Karma/Fisker for some stuff lol. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. I've experienced most of the possible issues, and have a decent amount of contacts both former and (maybe one) current Fisker employees. Enjoy the ride man, we've been at it since Nov.
Excited to watch this. Fisker Jacksonville is a well maintained and friendly staffed dealership. Nothing but top notch customer service and transparency when I went and looked at an Ocean.
we got a few fisker sports along with ones and oceans in UK they have been showing up at bca auctions , a sport went through on a may uk registered plate, 45 miles . Had a twenty grand start line , or say 25 k in US dollars , room full of buyers , not a raised hand or a eye blink , nada. My conclusion was only a bargain hunter/gambler would be up to buy one and i have made a new brand for those who do buy one which is a RISKER not a fisker
The other plug said "ChaDeMo", so its a different (Nissan Leaf). 33kW charging is really slow. Why were you limited that much? Was it the car or does that station have a limited capacity? On paper, the car should be able to get to at least 130kW without problems.
Mine has gotten as high as 181 on a 350kw charger, but is usually around 105-115 on 150 kw chargers and maxes out at 6.5 on my home L2 at 32A (car limited, i am direct wired for 48 A). Kind of annoying that the charge speeds are that slow. And once you hit 80% SOC at a DCFC, good luck getting above 35kw to whatever you set your desired % charge level to be.
Yep, I have experienced that slow charge speed at some chargers on a recent trip from Reno to Victoria BC and back. I didn’t occur at all chargers just some (all EA). And unfortunately.56kw is expensive.
@@memyselfundeyeenjoy Victoria. Beautiful city. The fastest public chargers we found were 50kwh but it was fast enough for the little charge we actually needed. Just go in with a full charge you’ll be fine.
@@btbuildthings : Most likely it has to do with the warranty they want to give on the battery pack. I can imagine putting stress on the pack decreases the lifetime. BUT ... that sounds like a their problem, not a customer problem.
@@btbuildthings nah bruh. $30 for basically a 50% charge is diabolical. That's basically gas prices. That means $65 dollars from empty to full. THATS CRAZY.
@tecno8335 Lol. I hear you and thats fair considering having to wait while traveling long distances. Wait until you see the cost to maintain by charging at home. Now that's diabolical. 😂

Appreciate it. Have you already updated OS 2.2?

Too bad they opted not to be a part of the Fisker service network.

Wow. Very interesting.
So, how about an updated video giving your experience owning the Ocean and what if any issues you've encountered with it?
I will be sure to add this to the list. 👍🏽
I am unfamiliar with the Ocean’s charging curve but 33kW on a 150kW plug definitely isn’t right. Could be the station or could be the car.
I think it had to have been the station!

i was wondering the same thing, it was charging wayy too slow. an hour charge would get me to full in my model 3 ! at half the price too.

@@rmorales1029 hey, i’m going to Victoria BC this weekend, i wanted to be the first there with a FOO. Looks like you beat me😂

Which software version does the car have?
OS 2.0
EVgo chargers let you use both chargers at the same time
Good to know!
I would be pissed if I had to wait that long to charge the car, and it wasn't even cheap!
Absolutely. The least they could do is offer a lower rate.
Do a few launches ... decrease the value of the car each time you launch.
LOL. I still can't belive there is a limit. I truly don't understand to logic of this.

@theGoogol what warranty? 😂 Ocean toast. No spares, no support, no OTAs.
Hendrik massive con man.
This video was not informative at all
Thanks for the feedback. 😀
Omg this car is trash. $30 for 50% charge THAT IS TRASH!!! And you had to wait.
I think it was more the limitation off the charger than it was the car. The other faster chargers were in use so I had to use the slower one.
