Richie nailed it by keeping the original paint color, interior and all the components. True classic looks with the perfect wheel choice, the Weld Aluma stars are my all time favorite especially with the 17” fronts and beadlock rears. Those wheels look good on anything from classic to modern. I love this ride, its beautiful and bad ass!
Those 434 small blocks are something else! There’s a gentleman that lives near here that has a Decently known Red C10 pickup with a 434 and on a tube chassis built for autocross.
It’s a claimed 9 second car but as a retired racer I always have an issue with racers who claim a certain ET or power level without proof. This guy said the car had gone a best of 9.30. Yet he claims it’s an 8 second car? Where’s the slip?
We used to pop the rear of the hood with washers because it lets the heat escape and keeps the engine running cooler. That was 40 years ago. I love that he kept the El original to its look. Gauges look great, he really put a lot of thought into the build. Bravo!!!! Great Video Thank You Shawn!!!
My friend built a 64 Chevelle SS he followed a old Car Craft article on ASA Chevelle s and boxed the trailing arms and gussets the A frames among other things it has a 525 hp 383 w a 150 shot nitrous
that's one of my top 5 favorite cars think I've seen every car you guys have shown smooth looking El Camino love the stock look old schools only way to go
great video, loved that el camino just as he built it nice color scheme, column shift smooth as butter, wheels and tires , stock suspension, car didn't even seem real loud but the power put you back in the seat. looks like he was driving and closing the nitrous bottle as he drove.
Dude, your ability to squeeze out a smile from a guy that doesn't want to smile is amazing! You have the best job on the planet! Love it man! Keep up all the great work!
Holy balls is that a nice clean elcy I recently got a 66, it runs has a good rebuilt motor new custom interior but some chrome and one or two body pieces, the piece behind the front bumper and a piece in the driver's window
VERY NICE! My 66 Elco is basically the same "type" of setup and I agree... It works! All stock except the wheels and a ZZ427 Crate engine. Marina Blue too! It can seen on the Schott Wheels website displaying the Mach V Concave Cover-loc wheels, or in the gallery.
The guy could have put a scoop under the front bumper and back out of sight maybe instead of adjusting the bonnet, but it's still very cool. Maybe a scoop the width of the car a foot back from the bumber which hung down.
Awesome build. Totally my style wolf in disguise, I just drove my dart smallblock 440 chevy powered caprice to phoenix Arizona. Dart motors are awesome
My brother 8's,9's,10's scrap those lap belts, get a roll cage, fire extinguisher and 4 point seat harness at least for riders. No need being busted up or crispy corpse in a nice car. I was taught spend the cash in HP and safety if you got it...
Just imagine how the guy with the built ZL1 felt getting gapped by this..... I love it
He couldn’t have felt good. Awesome!
he felt not stoked
this car should have a bumper sticker that says - CAUTION: WILL BUM YOU OUT -
I didn’t feel bad at all 😎😎
😂

💯
If my 65 looks this clean when finished I’ll be a happy man
the paint! Fantastic
FINALLY! A 1964 El Camino!!! I have a 1964 (passed down from my late uncle). And I'm so glad to see another person appreciate one.
Love how he did the hood thing….thats a old school trick from back in the day, just like the old timers flipping the air cleaner lids lol

Mannn I was smiling through the whole video. Badass ride man.
What a beautiful 8 second cruiser!
I have one question though, what track lets him run 8 sec without a cage or harness?
@@dkstudioart - Only at a private track rental. Anything else and he would not be allowed to go faster than 11.50.

This guy, you can tell he's been down the track a few times. Cool as ice driving that thing. Great show man...
That means absolutely nothing, you can be cool as ice while doing the dumbest things, doesnt make it any less dumb
@@sporkeh90 What the hell are you talking about? What important thing in your pitiful life would I say the same thing about.
That is truly awesome. I love the fact that there are so many different ways to build a car, and you show them all. Top notch video, brother.

I really enjoyed this one. Old school with a lot of history on this El Camino
I love it !!! Really cool car ! With a good feeling of customizing ! Just like a sleeper, but with a nice and bright paint. 😊
That is a really beautiful car , thank you fir showing it to us
Thanks for watching. Badass ride
Love how the first thing he mentioned is the gap on the hood to fenders.
Dope Ride .Love the stock look..Sean you need your own t.v show just like you do it (Don't change nothing)
Definitely!
Thanks for having an El Camino on the show. I know it’s not one of Shaun’s favorite rides but some of us love them.
I like seeing the older el caminos I barely see them at car shows in my area the engine upgrade is awesome
So sweet ❤i grew up in a 64 from the age of 4 to about 12 in Santa Paula California❤ have a great weekend brother later

That thing is bad ass. Love the way he built it. It’s amazing what a small block is
Capable of these days.

Beautiful n Quick Elky

Nice Ride Dude👍
G Rich pops camino hard. Taking all fades 🏁
OMG, that is 1 sick ass ride!!! Very impressive ❤

That column shift is sooooo smooth .
That El Camino is hot and looking forward to ordering that AutotopiaLA t-shirt XL same color.
Awesome sleeper.
I totally dig the stock appearing cars (and trucks) that rip below 10's.
The faster the better!
You can drive it shopping, You can drive it drag strip. I love it
Nice el camino! Love that style! Not over moded classic!
Shout out to big Rich I'm subscribed to his son gtp rich and everything these brothers have is super clean.
Definitely a very cool build. Car looks great
I like the mainly stock theme . That car could easily be fitted with more effective seat belts lap and sash.
Cool. Love the color.
Beautiful ride, and thank you for letting people know that these builds take time.
Dude, your ability to squeeze out a smile from a guy that doesn't want to smile is amazing! You have the best job on the planet! Love it man! Keep up all the great work!
Props for man giving this truck some love.
Shoot some of the other cars parked there aswell . This guy built one bad ass el Camino
I just dropped the Dime and bought a 1967 El Camino with a 383 Stroker with less than a 100 miles on the crate engine.
Absolutely unreal! Wow.
Holy balls is that a nice clean elcy I recently got a 66, it runs has a good rebuilt motor new custom interior but some chrome and one or two body pieces, the piece behind the front bumper and a piece in the driver's window

Rare 64. Sick power. Badd ass mofo. Nice tasteful build. Awesome.❤♥🔥🔥🔥😎🏁😀

Funny to watch dude try not to smile in his own ride😂 be happy Man
Trying to be cool.
@@danmyers9372 no, just unneeded modesty. He was plenty cool. I just wished he would have smiled when he got on it. I know he’s proud of that build.
Wow what a nice build
Beautiful Elco, love the stock appearance!!!!
😥😥🔥 and magnaflows always for the win!
That 7 second Nova is Badass too.
This video just put a smile on my face, very cool car and cool owner. Hi from France
I like the "original" appearance of this build!

Love what can be achieved on a stock roller
The benefits on not having to deal with a leaf spring setup
Gorgeous car. love the wheel & tire set up.

STUNNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not your usual ls build.Excellent!
My eyebrows shot up when I heard Majestic’s... Legends
We need a t-shirt that says: Autotopia LA…We’ll put some cameras in it and Go for a Ride!
Nice elco 👍👍
Hey Shawn you should make a video of the 5 most powerful car experiences you ever felt on your show. Or 10 most insane powered cars. 👍🤙
Beautiful build!👏👏👊❤
he was trying to thug it out but you can tell he was keeping back a smile 😂
Very cool!!! 👍👍👍👍
Beautiful car but I think the 8’s is kinda pushin it lol I’d love to be proven wrong though!
Yep. It’s a 9 second car provided he has an ET slip to back it up. How can you say your best ET is 9.30 and then claim it’s an 8 second car?
Love a Lot this car the wat it is 💙💙💙 color , engine , rims , double Magnaflow X Pipe , etc Wooooow 😃❤️
All I can say is badassery
It's Fast Sean... it passed the speed test..😄
WOW!!!!! Awesome Chevy
Seriously cool build
