    I love seeing these videos, real world riders just applying skills and having fun.
    You just reconfirmed why I just made an order for a 2022 XT250 after almost two years of contemplating back and forth between the Honda CRF300L and Kawasaki 300 … and I can see why this Yamaha XT250 just makes so much sense, love the simplicity of design, air cooled yet has fuel injection and electric start , low seat height easy to ride , yep 👍 I believe I made the right choice . Sometimes less is more !

      If you check out the channel you'll see that we purchased a KLX 300 this year. XT250 was still my first choice had one been available. Ride safe! :)

    The XT250 is the most underrated motorcycle of modern times haha. Ego boys worried what the other boys on the internet will say often cite that I 250 isn’t a mans bike or the WR is faster etc but man is it the epitome of perfect for a trail/exploration/commute/you name it bike. I daily an 1,890 cc 675 lb hunk of steel and I have to say I have more fun on the cheaper, lighter, “girly” XT250 ALWAYS! Could never see a stable without one! :)

    Great video. A drag race would have been fun. That 40 year old XT might surprise you if the carb is working properly.

    I like my '81 XT just fine. Bought it new, it works just fine, & has a much nicer seat than the newer bikes.

    2nd riding season in... pro's.. many Cons.. still the heavy front end.. Definitely happier on back roads ( preferably gravel ) and slower woods/trail riding.. It will go most anywhere if you know how to ride. A 14 tooth front sprocket makes a world of difference.. As far as street, again slower country roads, take your time and look at the scenery.. Excellent under 50 mph.. 60 is pushing it and 70 ( almost wound out ) only for interstates which I advise strongly against..

    In the beginning of the video the trails you were going thru looked much like what we have. Only thing missing are mini boulders/stones everywhere.

    I had an '82 XT250 bought at 16 in 1987. The look and sound of that bike in the vid sure brings back memories! Between the old and new, which is faster or which wins in a drag race?

    I've recently got a 1982 xt 250 and plan to do some adventure riding, I read that the first generation has more power? Maybe if that one has aged or maybe the new one just delivers it better

    • @TTADV
      @TTADV  3 года назад

      On paper the first generation packs more of a punch, in reality I found the 2017 to have much better low end torque. However, I'm in the middle of rebuilding the 1980 engine and it required an overbore to get back into round. I'm excited to see how they compare after this fresh engine rebuild!
