- Today I am sharing with you some cute aesthetic bible journaling ideas, tips, hacks, and diy crafts! I am all about making the most out of the space in my bible and making it functional, but I got a little crafty today and now it's beautifully aesthetic AND totally functional!
I hope this inspires you to get creative with your bible and enjoy the beauty in God's Word as we worshipfully enjoy it and interact with it!

I love the idea of adding the tassels to pages that specifically talk about tassels. Like the woman who touched the tassels of Jesus’s garment and was healed. 💕
“I don’t want to be too tassel-y”… Literally sews in a ribbon full of tassels into her bible 😂 💛

The party aisle has bags that are made of paper and paper that can be cut down to make journal space or journal covers or other items to be reused. You don’t have to use things as intended to have fun taking notes. Well enjoyed this thank you!

I love the ESV regular journaling Bible with the 2" notes margin. I then interleave sections as necessary with Tomoe River paper since it is comparable in weight to Bible paper. Personally I have used rubber cement along the paper edge to glue it in rather than sticking it to the opposite page but I may try that method for my next one.
Hi! I just used a small midori notebook for my BuJo since September through December. It was awesome and I was wondering how you go about finding the paper you use for your notes?
I have bad memories of helping the 4th grade school librarians put in the card holders in new books with rubber cement and getting a migraine (looking back on it now I know it was the symptoms of that). Anyway I’m always inspired to see how things work for different people. Thanks for sharing

I have store bought pompom paper clips book marks. It has a string through the pompom and slipped on the paper clip the same way. I am hooked on your channel. You have a gorgeous smile. Your parents picked the perfect name for you. I can tell you enjoy doing these videos with how your always smiling and your face lights up.

I recently added five additional ribbons to my reference Bible. Makes it easy to study the multiple references and keep one's place with the original scripture.

Instead of taping something in you could try what we call “Tipping in”. So cut it to size, or a hair’s breadth smaller, then get some pva glue and a small brush and gently apply a fine line of glue to the very edge. No more than 1/8”, less if you can manage. One way to achieve that is lay it down on some old newspaper or magazine, and put another waste sheet of paper over your insert, revealing just the bit that needs glue showing, then brush on, easy. Then open you book and offer it up and fix in. A ruler edge might help you firm it in.
Love these ideas! I’m going to try adding the ribbon and tassel on the trim. I’m going to glue it on card stock first and then add it to the page. I just think I’ll end up tearing my page. Thanks for sharing.

Try fabritac glue for your lace. I love it,- works really well for fabrics and paper.

Thank you so much for this video! I just have a plain jane bible so writing notes and journaling can be tricky. Now I know to add pages! I loved the ribbon hack too. And for your question, I just calling the ribbons bookmarks but I don't know if that's correct. Praying your first few days back at seminary go well along with the whole semester! 💖

I call them page markers/book marks/place finders or anything else I can think of depending on my mood I guess! I love the paper folder 📂 you’ve made, I bought some really beautiful papers ages ago and haven’t done anything with any of them yet, I’m going to give the pretty folder 📂 a try ❤️

What is the name of the Bible that has blank pages on one side where you can put notes. Where did you find it I would like to get one so I have the blank pages in the Bible. Please answer this question.
You can put a dab of clear nail polish on raw edges to stop them fraying. Last pretty well for ever!

@@HowtoFaithALife I couldn't handle the van if you went back that far, but the shuttle bus is great. We haven't traveled for more than a week at a time. I couldn't live in it full time but they money you save on hotels makes travel so easy and affordable!

Tassels. To finish off why not get a bodkin or tapestry needle, sick it in behind the binding, from top to bottom, then thread it with the binding end, and pull through and down to secure it

Great ideas! I love the way your Bible looks now! I'm afraid to do anything to my Bible in case I mess it up....I'm not very crafty and to top it all off, I'm a perfectionist, and so I drive myself crazy whenever I attempt anything....which is why I don't.....attempt anything....
Lol! I can relate: for some reason this didn’t make me as nervous as highlighters do. They scare me because I’m always afraid they’ll bleed through! Lol.
@@HowtoFaithALife Yep! Highlighters are scary....people say test them out first on an inconspicuous spot in your Bible...but I will always KNOW it's there and it will bug me forever after! lol! Perfectionism is hard to live with...sigh...

Try the “dry” gel highlighters-GAME CHANGER! Zero bleed through and so many colors. Amazon or any office supply store will have tons to choose from. Happy highlighting! 🤩

i tried this bible journaling and found out its a huge distraction. idk but i spend so much time obsessing over how cute my pages should look. sometime i feel like god is saying to stop and just read his word and understand it and meditate on it rather than making it pretty because if we are ultimately trying to be closer to god then who are we trying to impress you know! your ideas are absolutely beautiful! im just saying it can be such a distraction.. then we end up buying 30 bibles and still have a lackluster relationship. the bible will be pretty but god just wants us as we are
I just do a lot of underlining or boxing around a word. But I do like the idea of more ribbon bookmarks.

How do you feel about the font size of your Bible? I really want an ESV Bible, but the font is smaller than I’m used to so I’m curious on your thoughts.😊 love your channel and I’m totally going to buy ribbon and add it to my bibles now lol
It’s smaller than others but not too small. I actually never noticed until you asked just now! My bible doesn’t have HUGE margins, though... since it’s interleaved, so it’s not TEENY tiny font size.

They have nice looking ESV large print Bibles 👍🏼 I have a friend with one. I’m not sure about the margin space though....
Font size can be a problem, but you could read in a larger text Bible or on your phone, and (only if you can afford another) settle for doing art work in a Bible you’re not actually reading. Is that awful? I mean some people paint all over the text and it’s not easily readable! I’m trying to say your arty Bible could be a place to express these things, but accepting that it’s not your reference and reading Bible. Using them in parallel.

Lol! I really wanted to try it! Actually one of the ribbons DID rip out and I just re-glued it in better, but anyways, it IS kinda nerve-wracking but I’m a big supporter of the idea that your bible journal doesn’t and shouldn’t be perfect!

Great! I think sewing them in AND hot gluing them was the perfect way to attach them! I bring my Bible with me everywhere and haven't had any issues!
