A tip, I do this and I hope it helps someone: when my Bible spine started to split because of all the added bulk, I cut the spine (only the outer part, not the sewn part) then covered my Bible with denim using aleene's tacky glue, the denim is strong and flexible so it holds everything together without splitting or cracking.
Thanks!
God bless you for that! 💖
Wow, thanks!
As a girl with SUPER messy handwriting, my FAVORITE way to put notes in my Bible is notecards!! They're lined, are able to flip up when taped in there, and are bigger than post it notes but smaller than notebook paper
Thanks for sharing!!
Would love to see the video
3:10 OMG I LOVE THIS!! You added a WINDOW! That is SO cool. You go, Faith! I love how you said you "double or triple your square footage" of your bible. 😅
Duct tape comes in many different colors now, and makes an easy way to reinforce the spine and add some color to your Bible spine too. Nothing wrong with that traditional silver, but I also liked the red I used when I had used some red and black buffalo plaid washi tape for chapter markings. Now that Bible is very distinctive and I know which one is which in a pile.
That clear window note page is awesome! Thank you for sharing!
I love it! I am glad you did too! I made one in this video if you want to see how I did it! ruclips.net/video/eGKpRB7Kn0E/видео.html
Thanks - I'm Jewish and we don't have like "journaling" chumashim or tanakhs, everything has relatively small margins, but I've recently been trying to go back to basics and like connect with the Torah more than just learning, so I was trying to find a way to make it work :)
You could use a Christian Journaling Bible and make any translation corrections as needed in places where you think the JPS or ArtScroll translation is better. The protestant Old Testament is the same content as the Hebrew Bible, just without a Jewish perspective in translation. Protestant translators heavily rely on the Masorective Text, just like Jewish translators do.
@@bradbowers4414 I don’t really do it in English and wouldn’t use an xtian Bible due to the 2nd part lol. But finding ways to journal /reflect bH.
My Orthodox rabbi recommendeds just marking up a JPS pocked-sized Tanakh like crazy!! "I would give every bar and bat mitzvah a JPS Tanakh and a highlighter." 😊
@@bradbowers4414i think the Jewish and Christian perspectives on translation are different enough that Jewish folks without Hebrew knowledge shouldn't do this, but it's a creative idea!
I REALLY like your tip in with the clear window! It’s a great idea I’ve never seen before.
Thanks! I honestly was proud of that one! I’m glad you like it as well!
I love faith method too....
Thank you for this video, this helps tremendously.
Thank you for these tips. I have found myself taking more notes and highlighting in my Bible more this year and last year than all the years I’ve own my Bible. I will definitely have try some of these.
Yay! I hope the tips bless you in your studies! Thanks for watching!
I love all these ideas!!
Loved this omgoodness❤🎉
Thank you.
We are going on a mission trip to Worcester, South Africa and I was praying on how to teach children how to Bible journal in their own bibles. This video has been so helpful! It is an answer to a prayer as I might not have enough Scrapbooking material for everyone.
Yes girl!!! I don't know why I never thought about taping in an extra piece of paper to make my bible interleaved. 🤯 I always just used post-it notes. Thanks for the tips! I would love to see a flip through of your Bible. 😘
Just posted a flip through maybe a month ago or so, I feel like my bible has already changed so much though, so maybe I'll do another!

Totally high-fiving and fist-bumping you right now. You just helped me figure out how to do what I want to do THIS year until I am ready to buy a real journaling bible next year. 🖐🤜THIS I can work with. Thanks, oh Crafty One. 😃
Thank you so much for this video! I bought your book summary cliff notes and then didn't know what to do with them when I came across this video. I printed them on 50% and cut them out and now I'm in the process of taping into my Bible ❤
Love this. ❤️ Thank you so much Faith. I've been watching your videos for a few weeks now. And they truly have encouraged me in my walk and bible studying ways. You've encouraged me to use the arts and craftiness within me to seek Him with truly all of me. He made me with these desires and passions and I can use that to seek and connect with my Father. So again thank you for allowing God to use you through these videos, this ministry. * hugs * Only in heaven you will know how much you are impacting God's kingdom.
Fantastic ideas. I can’t find a large print interleaved Bible so I will 100% be doing this.
I grown into new thrive devotional bible not journaling bible but I'm starting to glue copy paper in making interleave journal page....and going get new scrapbook paper too ..yes y'all helped me grow in my walk
Thanx Faith, I have been doing a study on Matthew and there is a ton of note I want to put in my bible, but don't have a Journaling Bible, so I embraced the post-it idea and use them as "tip-in's"
This is so much help thank you so much faith ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Love, love, love! Thank you!
You are so welcome!
I've gotten a nasty flu and haven't had the energy to study my Bible. Just found your channel yesterday and binging on your videos. So many great tips and information. Even for someone on a tight budget like me.
This really helps❤ thank you
Hi Faith! So I'm binge watching your videos when I get the chance. I know you're busy - you don't have to comment back or anything. I'm just at the start of this one. Seriously though, you ARE gorgeous! Your personality is my favorite thing about you - and the expressiveness in your facials 😁 Always be yourself and I pray no matter how big your channel gets (it will grow and continues to grow), that you stay humble. 😊 You're just precious and a vessel of honor that Father uses to pour into the lives and hearts of others. What a privilege! I can't imagine how tough it can be for you juggling all the roles that God's given you. May your striving and running the race set before you always be through acts of God's grace and for His glory. I love you 💜, am praying for you and so thankful for you. Ok, now on to watch the rest of the video! 😁
So many wonderful ideas sister thank you so much!! God bless you!!! 😍😍😍
I’m so glad!
I'm writing my Bible on notebook paper. I will be happy when I'm done. But I have started using stickies already. Glad I found your channel
Thank you! This is what I needed. I will implement this now daily!
Lol I’m glad! Hahah
Another fab video! So many great ideas.
Thanks so much! 😊 Hope you are doing well!
You are so inspiring! I sit and watch your videos multiple times! Keep doing you! You are great!!!
Wow, thank you! That's so encouraging to hear!
Love your spirit and your personality ! Very refreshing! & thanks for the tips sis !! So encouraged by this
You are so welcome! I am so glad this was helpful!
My first stickers from your Patreon club just arrived, and I am so excited to try out "micro-journaling" the way you suggest here - with a super-fine-tip pen, on a sticker on a separate flat surface, then transfer to my Bible. Brilliant! Thank you so much!!
Yay! I'M SO EXCITED FOR YOU! Thank you!
A moment of thanks for the genius who decided that .25mm pens were needed too! I use this size pen in my journaling bible so I can fit even more into the 2" margin (and I still had to add a page during our current study).
It would be nice if Crossway (I prefer ESV) would print a single column interleaved bible, and even more so if it also had to 2" margin on text pages. I know it would be huge but think of all the note taking space!
I really appreciate the point about writing on the sticker first then placing it in the Bible. Thanks for the tips. I think you are a ray of sunshine. I subbed the other day.
I’m glad I could help! Also, you’re so sweet! Thank you for the encouragement!
Thanks for the tips🙂
I actually purchased supplies from Amazon and rebound my Hubbie’s falling apart Bible. He is on his way to another 20 years with this one🤞🏼
Love these ideas
I’m so glad!
Sound of freedom
This is wonderful and so helpful for beginners! You’ve totally brought the creative journaling world into your Bible and I love it 😍😍😍
Wow, thank you! That means a LOT coming from YOU!
Love your videos
Thank you! I appreciate that so much!
Great ideas
Faith can I write in my world bible school study edition journaling bible for my Bible study keep up with the awesome videos love watching them all ❤
Thanks so much for your tips and tricks. I absolutely love your videos ❤️ Where would you suggest to have a bible rebound? I've never done it, but have several bibles that I'd love to have combined together from family that has went to be with God.
Awesome, thanx cos I don't have a journaling bible
First !!! Love the videos keep it up
Yay! Thank you! I loved talking with you in today’s premiere!
@@HowtoFaithALife me too you are so nice 👍🏾
Great ideas, I can use some of these.
Good! I’m glad!
Pro tip (learnt the way way 😏) When taping in Bibles please use archival book tape. DO NOT use selotape it will ruin the page and in time go hard, crack and disintegrate...
Awesome tips! I'm going to go search and see if there's a clear tape that's archival safe - like for book restoration or something. I use washi tape but clear tape would be helpful. It's so fun to look through my mom's older Bibles. She was a tape-a-holic with notes and such back in the 70's, 80's and onward. She even taped pictures of all us kids and my dad in the front pages of her Bible. The tape and the pages of the Bibles are so yellow - but hey - it happens. It's a treasure, really is - nostalgic.
Love this ❤️
In one of her videos, Faith shows the tape she’s been using, it’s book repair tape, or something like that. Huh, @howtofaithalife ?
I’m still learning how to tag people in comments…
Taped into my Bible for the first time!! I loved it!! My notes are always so small to fit it in I can never read it going back🤣 this is going to help so much!! Thank you for this!!
Yay! I am so glad! Praise the lord! That is so encouraging for me to hear!
I love writing in my Bible but it distracts me when I re-visit or re-read that passage...I like to always be reading with fresh eyes. So I hightlight and underline but then for notes I use an annotation system that takes me to the beginning of the book where journaling space has beem added when space permits. When not i put in interleaved paper tip-ins. But I just bought a new reading-only slimline and there's no book introductions at all...but sometimes there's space on the last page of each book so I can put my notes there. But I just realized that I might have to put in some tip-outs instead of tip-ins so this was helpful.
I know this is a couple years old, but I wanted to comment anyway. I use transparent post its so that I can take notes without having to worry about messing up my Bible. :)
Faith, I love this do-able note journaling….but how do you make the “windows”? Did I miss your instructions?
I have a "normal" bible (im a catholic and it was nearly impossible to find a journaling bible witn a decent binding, even online) and I started using graph paper taped in with washi tape. The paper is thin so it doesnt bulk up the spine too much and the lines are small so I can cram more notes into the space.
$25 for most journal the word type Bibles... so worth it!!
So many great ideas!!! Thanks so much! 🙂
I’m so glad! Yay!
Have you gotten you commentary/ies in the mail yet?! Excited for you!
@@HowtoFaithALife not yet. I bought them through Thrift Books so they were only about $5 a peice, but they are always a little slower in the shipping. I don't mind the wait to take advantage of the savings. :)
What I remind myself is that the Book I’m taking notes in is perfect. My notes are not. They never will be, because I’m…, well, me. And that’s ok! God never asked me to take notes in always perfect, beautiful handwriting. He asked me to read and study His Words - the ones that ARE beautiful.
Thank you so much for this video ❤️
Yes! I made it with you in mind! I meant to actually message you about it and completely forgot!
Awwww thank you ! You'd be happy to know that I started journaling in my regular bible and I'm currently adding that paper with an envelope in it 😂❤️ I'm going to send you a picture. If not on here maybe on instagram
@@carlamichellevideos sounds great! :)
I don't have an interleaved bible but I have been adding "square footage" to my bible and have been loving it🙏😍
Wonderful! That's so great! :)
@@HowtoFaithALife every time I add a tab or page I can't help it but smile and say "yes! This is more square footage to write more notes💪"
@@sandypaws8 hahah I always feel the same way!
I use a filofax planner for my journal. I use coloured pencils to highlight my bible though :)
I love colored pencils. Like, If I could only pick one tool- I'd have to choose colored pencils.
I have a new king James version and a world study edition journaling bible school study edition is that a great bible too study and do you need a journal or can I write into my Bible
Before I knew journaling bibles existed I would take a ton of notes on the blank areas between books of the Bible because that was the only space and I didn’t always like using a separate notebook.
Now I have journaling bibles and I’ve never looked back! 😂
Your Bible on Amazon is now $145! But I love your ideas for journaling without a journaling Bible. My Bible binding is glued instead of sewn. Can that kind of binding be rebound? Or can a glued binding be changed to a sewn one?🙏❤
Great tips sweetie. You are learning the lingo 😁 Big hugs sweet friend.
Sticky notes are great for notes in your Bible.
Dollar tree sticky notes are the best for the Bible because they aren’t as sticky and they don’t tear the page as they come off. They are sticky like washi, but stay on the page until you take it off. 😉
Thank you! Do they get in the way of reading?
@@HowtoFaithALife No. you can flip them up or move them.
Agreed - I will often use sticky notes for "thoughts in progress" or "prayers in progress" where I scribble ideas before 100% deciding where I want to write them in my Bible. And those sticky notes never stay in place long, I will move them constantly all over the single page while I am reading, so they don't get in my way
Thanks for the tips! I don't have a journaling bible. I've been using post it notes for notes that can't fit the margins but they get in the way. I might start using index cards for tabs. And thanks to you I can add maps too! That was a sweet story in the beginning of the video! How is your family in Texas doing?
Yes! Index cards sound awesome! I also don’t like sticky notes for the same reason.
As for the fam: Better! Things are starting to return to normal, thanks for asking!
So glad to hear that!
Hey faith I wanna add pages to my Bible but I'm scared to cause my pages are rly thin do u think it would still be fine? Love u and your channel thx for the help ❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏
I am always at a loss as to what types of notes to put into my Bible. I do highlight things, but what topics should I take notes about?
What kind of glue do you use? Also, what kind of tape do you use so that the note stays in the bible?
As for smudges on page or on notes: 1) Try out the pens you want to use on a piece of paper and see if it leaves blops of ink while you are writing - that will smudge big time because it takes a long time to dry and looks ugly. (There's one brand of pen I never buy, if somehow I inherit one I donate it to a thrift store for them to use at the register.) 2) Let the ink dry for a bit before adding highlights of any kind.
What do you do when a tip in sticks to a Bible page and you can’t read the page anymore?
The thought of taping or gluing in my Bible freaks me out. I know that I would mess it up. 🌺
You could use some wide plain white (or light colored) washi tape for your tip on adding the paper/sticky note to the margin for micro bible journaling. Then you don’t have to tape or glue the paper in.
Very true!
Ooo brilliant! And with washi tape I could probably move the whole note if I change my mind about where I want it
@@hey_virginia GOOD POINT!
You can write Micro Bible Journaling notes directly on a piece of light colored washi tape, that way you don't need the extra step of adding clear tape.
Heads up: make sure you put the adhesive on the Bible itself and not the tip in. I made the mistake of gluing the tab and put it too close to the text. I tried to move it over and it took off some of the text in my Bible with it 😭
How many Bibles could you have? I mean that it might be inconvenient to have your notes in different bibles. How do you manage that?
My Bible has really thin pages so I’m scared to write in my Bible.
So u actually go back and read all those notes?
Temu has Faith/ Bible stickers
Ya did the glue thing and guess what did not work at all
Wow👍😊so great ideas....❤
I’m so glad! Do you have a journaling bible?
No mam I hv esv large print bible
I ant a woman but I love your videos as well
Well thanks! :)
What kind of tape do you use to add paper to your bible?
just cheap clear tape or washi tape. I REALLY need to get in the habit of using better tape that ages nicer but I haven't made the switch yet out of sheer laziness.. to be completely honest!
@@HowtoFaithALife thanks so much
I get smudges cause i'm left handed
I make my own sticky notes by using restickable glue.. they sell it on Amazon

Is there anyone out there who knows a NON childish, felt pen, little pictures, school child way of journaling?
You can do notes like hers in simple black pen and plain paper if the sight of colors is too emasculating for you 😊
@@aleamilr Ha ha I feel so emasculated by coloured pens they make me feel less that a man. Thanks for the advice :)
