While the Polish guns from Radom and the Russian guns from Molot (yes they are still importable) are very nice, along with the Serbian PAPs; yes I do agree. The milled Arsenal is a very good weapon, and honestly not priced out of line. It is also something I feel collectors will be interested in after 10-20 years as they actually don't import all that many and demand is high. Thank you for viewing from Bulgaria!
Please remember, the Ak-74 side folder folds to the the left side of the rifle. So some scope side mounts, like RS Regulate will not fit onto a left folding stock, like the Vepr Ak74, because the folder extends out too far. I've watched a video of a .308 Vepr with a Arsenal scope mount that's installed. So now I have to purchase the arsenal side mount for my AK 74.
~I have a SAM7SF Rifle and I love it much. I've adjusted to the longer NATO length folding stock. It's a keeper and never to be sold or traded. ~Someday I hope to own a SAM7R as well. ~While I don't use the Cleaning Rod, I do like the looks of the Rifle when it's installed.
great vid sir, that underfolder looks bad ass, wish arsenal would make these in heavy profile rpk barrel styles rather than pencil barrels. i always wanted one like that seems neater than the standard stocks.
I bought a sam 7sf in late 2004 for $1375.00. It was supposed to be a Limited Edition of 300. Foolishly I got rid of it for something better. Anyway a happy ending i got another sf earlier this year, right before the big jump. Someone at Arsenal told me something.
you do an excellent job telling and explaining this rifle,I actually went out and wanted to buy the sam-uf87 but could not find one so I bought the uf85 and changed the plastic stock to wood because of your vidio.so thank you
Not going to lie, it is a neat little gun. I'd not mind one for myself too. The Zastava M92PV is a similar gun, and for a lot less coin...just a thought.
Love that furniture. Gonna look into a set to toss on my sam7. Mine came with the plum, it’s ok but I want something classic looking. I really like that Egg beater hider but I can’t find one. Where did you purchase yours?
Thanks, but its not wood. It is a material commonly called bakelite and Bulgaria used it back in the late '80s and early '90s.Just put it on for fun and to be different.
@@ozarkbeararms8840 Where did you get the Bakelite for the Sam7? I have the SF and its tricky finding a grip that accomodates the SF's left side thumb safety.
There is no comparison. The PolyTech Legend was 100% military arsenal made by military personnel in China. The Legend was even built superior to the original Russian AK47 type 3 with its forged hammer, trigger, spring loaded firing pin, etc. The creme-de-la-creme of AK's is the PolyTech Legend hands down.
+Ozark Bear Arms Then you never held one or used one in person. The PolyTech Legend is off the charts in quality and originality to an original Russian AK47 from the 1950's. In fact many say even better....
Hey man, are there any differences between the newer SAM7SF with the thumb safety and new style grip and the older style without those things? I mean is there any actual differences in quality or materials used, not just cosmetic stuff like what I mentioned? Thanks!!!
+Robby47 It is a common misconception online that the SAM7SF does not come with a cleaning rod, but it does come with one. It has a two piece rod in the box, but it doesn't come installed in the rifle when new. The longer section is supposed to be stored under the barrel as normal, and the shorter one is meant to be fitted into a pocket in the 4 cell Bulgarian mag pouch.
Thanks for the vid. It was very informative. I just bought a sam7sf and was wondering how im going to install the cleaning rod. I havent picked up the ak yet but when i first paid for it i looked at the stuff the ak came with. It said really big on the plastic bag DO NOT INSTALL CLEANING ROD ON RIFLE! So i was just wondering. Still waiting on the commifornia 10 day wait period.
You'll notice the cleaning rod is in 2 pieces. Put the longer and thinner one under the barrel, just as you would on any AK. The shorter and fatter one goes in your mag pouch, at least that's how soldiers store it. The reason for this arrangement is the stock latch. It is in the front of the receiver right where a full length cleaning rod would go. Do not try pushing a full length rod into the SAM7SF. If you do, you'll knock the latch spring out of its groove, and while you can get it back, its a pain!
Once upon a time Arsenal was going to import a rifle like that called the SLR108. Sadly, they never did though. A simple AKM from Bulgaria would be neat I agree.
SAM7UF is an underfolder which some people think is uncomfortable to shoot. A SAM7SF folds to the side and has a NATO length stock that some people think is too long. I think the SAM7R is what you would consider a "plain" SAM7 because it has a fixed stock.
