Man when I first got into akm pattern rifles a year ago I remember this rifle being listed at 1400, and I thought damn that’s expensive as hell. Now they’re over 2400 bnib. As I learned more and more about akm patterned rifles, I’d be glad to pay 1400 for that SF.
Music Masters actually I knew that, was just trying to cover the swath of ak patterned rifles without having to list every type or whatever. Thx though.
@@willinfillin3445 I kind of see what you are getting at, but there are only four types of 7.62 AK rifles and you just so happened to choose type 4 to I guess generalize the entire existance of 7.62x39 AK rifles.
Except, its not a Type III either. Really it is an ARM pattern. Arsenal took the front end from an AK74 and put it onto a milled receiver. However where as the barrel is screwed in on a traditional Type III, with the SAM7/ARM series, it is pressed & pinned in like on the AKM and AK74. There's actually very, very little left from the original AK T3. They did their own thing, picking what they liked from several models & then designing some elements themselves to finish things out.

Im left handed, and was going to pick up the Sam7-SF but just to much $ for me, Im so used to shooting all guns meant for right handed people. (Except Bolt Action!) I also found a Bulgarian SSR-85C-2 with a 1.6mm reciever, wich many people back then say they were top noth quality, when Arsenal USA turned to armory USA. A older fellow has had it in his collection sense early 2000's, and he recently sold most off, to the FFL here in town, its a great gun, and at nearly half the price for a gun that is still built in Bulgaria with all arsenal parts from what i've read and understood, so i grabbed it! and love it!
I love my SAM-7 M for the same reason. I can manipulate the safety with my left hand thumb and index with ease. Got the SAM-7K 44 in the week they were available. They doubled in price in 6 months.
Hey Misha, I want to start off by saying I love your videos and you really pump out a ton of information which I like especially someone who has really only ever owned a shotgun for deer hunting. I was really wanting to get an AR or an AK. I always loved how durable and reliable the AK was. I originally started doing research on a century arms c39v2 and thought I found the gun I wanted. I found through your videos and others that they really didn't compare to arsenal plus after seeing a video of the receiver starting to crack after a thousand rounds down range, I started looking at the sam7sf-84 and sam7sf-84R. Eventually I made up my mind that I wanted one of these rifles, but of course I couldn't find any in stock. Recently they finally came back in stock on kvar and I purchased one of the sam7sf-84E with 4 circle 10 30rd mag, 1 40rd mag, the sm-13 next gen scope mount with a hi-lux red dot. I honestly couldn't be more excited. I even purchased 1,000 rounds of brown bear 196g FMJ to shoot and get used to the firearm. However I did have a question for you. Have you had a chance to shoot one of the sam7sf with the Fime fire control group or is that a completely new addition to the series lineup? If so what are your thoughts on the trigger pull/feel? Another question I had was say if purchased the piccanny quad rail would I be able to replace the factory one with that on the regular sam7sf-84E? Or is the only way through buying the sam7sf-84R? That would explain the price jump on the R as I believe that's the only difference between the two correct? Anyways thanks again for the amazing info you provide about these rifles, I feel you steered me in the right direction and I'll be happy with my purchase regardless so thank you!
Thanks so much for all your videos! Very informative! These were just released again earlier this week so I ordered one - $1,699. I'm looking forward to getting it and owning one. Thanks again for all the vids !

I remember a year ago, I was willing but unable to buy some of these Arsenal/Molot AKs namely 104ur, 107cr, & vepr 74-21 due to strictly a lack of funds. When they were very reasonable prices, then I went to basic and some other training and 7 months later and they're all gone. Now that I some have money the prices just jump out of my reach once again. Feels bad man
Take the plunge man. Find the best deal you can and jump on it cause the ban hammer is most likely coming down on imports first :( its pitiful that it even is a concern but well we all know they want to ban them. And really an extra 2 or 300 is a lot but these guns are definitely gonna last you a lifetime. Most bomb proof AK made

Right now with all the crazy buying and prices online, its probably a good time to just chill and give some lovin' to the firearms we already have in the gunsafe, ya know?

Hey Misha, great content as always! Do you know why Bulgaria/Arsenal went with a metal stock that folds to the right on the AR-M9F instead of a polymer stock such as on the SLR-107FR that folds to the left? Is it possibly because of a specific Bulgarian military request for strength/rigidity , or for the ability to leave the optic on the side rail and fold the stock without removal of the optic, or from the milled receiver interfering with a 107 left side style latch system? Thank you for the reply.
Have you or could you do a video on the controversy surrounding Kvar and the way they seem to advertise these are the last ones will ever get and then six months later oh we found another batch,
I have a sam7 with a fixed stock and it's butter smooth and shoots well with one exception... It hates hollow points. Won't feed them to save a life. Ever had this issue?
Yeah, HP ammo is so far from milspec that it doesn't surprice me in the least. It even has trouble in some magazines because of the blunt tip. Best to stick with FMJ in rifles like the AK.
Hi Misha, have you heard (rumors or otherwise) if Arsenal is bringing in any milled receiver 5.56 guns? I've been jonesing for a 5.56 AK. The Mini Beryl definitely has my attention but a Arsenal rifle would be sweet too.
Unfortunately no, while its been suggested to them several times by several people, they keep going back to the simple fact that the SLR106 didn't sell well and was commercially a failure. So Arsenal isn't very interested in doing another 5.56x45 rifle right now. As for the future? *shrug* anything's possible.
@@misha5670 that's seems to my like a really ignorant way for arsenal to look at changing markets, in my opinion. Nobody bought the 106 because 74's and ar 15 were still all the rave. Since then, the 74 craze died to 7n6 bans and the Ar platform is getting stale. As of now, that there are companies like zastava USA, kusa, and PSA making/developing 556 Ak's. The market seems ripe. I'd hate for Arsenal to go the way of blockbuster because they failed to read market trends, which I feel like already is happening.
Um yeah, Arsenal doesn't really give a shit about changing markets or what people want. It feels it knows best, and honestly is stuck in an early 21st century mindset. I wouldn't be shocked if newer, younger companies eclipse it soon.
@@jburgess6576 appreciate the suggestion but m85 doesn't interest me for some reason. Feels more like a commercial export gun than military maybe? I would like a M92 underfolder though. I'm holding out for the Mini Beryl if I'm going for a short 5.56 AK. I know a lot of people use them but I despise pistol braces. They are not the same as a stock and look terrible. SBR or nothing in my opinion. Was hoping for a full size 5.56 AK rifle which the market as currently dried up on. I don't have a milled AK yet and a Aresenal would scratch that itch and be a military 5.56 configuration gun which is what I like to collect.
Hey guy I have a question: Waffle mag circle ten is wobbly 20round pmag fits perfect 30round Pmag is so tight I can barely get it to snap in and most of the time it just wedges in rather than locks in. Is the circle ten wobble okay???
Boy this guns look GREAT Mishaco! ESP the military clone version. Sounds like most of it is Bulgarian made including that sweet waffle mag and egg beater flash hider. What parts are you using for 922r compliance?
You see it. Mine's been there for over 6 years and rifle has been shot with it in there well over a thousand rounds. There's literally brackets under the barrel placed there to hold it and nothing else.
Anyone with a SAM have a sloppy bolt in the carrier to where the bolt channel Chistled away material from the Underside of the "Ejector" rounding off the lower corner and carving a notch into the underside of Ejector in approx ONLY 100rds? The Droopy Bolt lifts a couple+ mms when a loaded mag is inserted which makes the make the bolts inner channel bind against the ejector, and on the backstroke when firing it removes the Ejectors lower edge and carves a notch in it (unless yours isn't loose tolerance, many aren't) in less than 100rds. It supposedly smooths out eventually but I've seen other SAMs where the bolt stays horizontal and doesn't "Droop" in the carrier NOR lift if aligned with the ejector and using a loaded mag or even your finger through the magwell and pushing upward. (Best/proper spec ones) Mine ejected like shit during the "grinding process" and hoping it's smoothed out being I shelved it being my warranty was up by the time I noticed it. Smh Not sure if a LEMON OR just the nature of a SAM7 on the "Loose tolerance" end if the spectrum (bolt stem and carrier hole likely play the biggest role due to excess bolt "droop" Have heard it's due to a upper rail thickness having a .012" difference between different receivers making the carrier sit lower in the ones with thinner rails.
Great video. Glad I got mine when I did. Why'd the bolt hold back at 13:26 ? It looked like a Circle 10 waffle mag. Maybe it's a hold open mag, hard to tell.
@@misha5670 Ah okay. Thanks. Also, yes, I and I'm sure others would be interested in hearing your more personal opinions on your other channel regarding the whole SAM7 subject. Black box vids rule!
Like to see you do a video on choosing the correct sling for an Ak when trying to stay with what should be original to the rifle. There are so many variations. I imagine most wont even notice that Sam7sf does not have a typical fixed stock sling. And the wear inspections is off the wall now, i see old videos of people showing their Polytech legends and and notice hammer peening on them. Thanks
@@misha5670 mostly I listen to your videos but after seeing half a cleaning rod installed I think I understand the accessory lug. I didn't know half was to be kept in the magazine bag. Although I did know only half could be stored on the firearm. You have an unusual idea for the accessory lug.
In the military, it was once used to mount an under barrel grenade launcher. Honestly its just a leftover from the old AKM days but kept there 'just in case' its ever needed.
Sure would like to see how well the function don't care for the side folder the M70 under folder paratrooper model its designed not to get in the way folds under perfect function as a metal grip as well if the wood stock gets hot but that my opinion Kalashnikov or siaga milled reciever not plated
You're thoughts on palmetto, if their forging, and 4150 barrels either F.N. or their own ,meet standards from imports, at a lower price, and from the 2 I've bought shoot well and are very solid guns, I know you like the imports, I do also, but if there's a product available, and made here I think its a good alternative, "you're thoughts " P.S. great videos
Last year, I went to a gun store and they sold an SLR 107, SAM7R, and a SAMSF. I bought the SAM7R because it was 1,000... The SLR 107 was 1300 and the SAMSF was 1550... I beat myself up for not getting both SAMs. I was window shopping though...
Wow, by the prices of last year, you really over paid for that SLR107R, those were around $900 a year ago. Its only recently they've shotup to $1,100, which is not attractive to me. I just never found the SLR107R remarkable in any way. With Arsenal, its tehir milled guns that they really put their energies into.
Yeah, no its not going to change regardless. Gun laws seem to only move 1 direction no matter which nation you're in around the world. Only exceptions? In a few formerly communist nations in East Europe in the '90s. They were all about allowing civilian gun ownership for a time because for decades teh communist gov'ts said they could not.
SAM7 probably. A more, better rounded gun. While both weigh roughly the same, the VEPR's weight is mostly out towards the muzzle, while the SAM's is centered and thus it balances in te hand better. Also, damn do i just love me some milled receiver *shrug*
$1.5k would be a 'good deal' right now. They are more around $2.0 to $2.5k on Gunbroker. Those are what people are bidding them up to, what they are willing to pay.
It depends on what you are looking for. If you just want a shooter you are right. If you are a collector and want a particular model just because then you got to pay the asking price for whatever it is.

Yeah, HP ammo is so far from milspec that it doesn't surprice me in the least. It even has trouble in some magazines because of the blunt tip. Best to stick with FMJ in rifles like the AK.
Thanks Misha, keep up the good work!
Where did you buy that furniture from? Great video
Wish I could find the original Bulgarian furniture also it's rare to find I would just settle for the original Bulgarian pistol grip even
Hi Misha, have you heard (rumors or otherwise) if Arsenal is bringing in any milled receiver 5.56 guns?
There's the 5.56 Zastava M85 pistol with chrome lined barrel and 1.5mm trunnion, add a brace of your choice.
The barrel appears thicker than the one on the AK-103 and SLR-107 series, is that true?
Where can I find that furniture!? Love your videos sir
Hey guy I have a question:
Waffle mag circle ten is wobbly
20round pmag fits perfect
30round Pmag is so tight I can barely get it to snap in and most of the time it just wedges in rather than locks in.
Is the circle ten wobble okay???
Boy this guns look GREAT Mishaco! ESP the military clone version. Sounds like most of it is Bulgarian made including that sweet waffle mag and egg beater flash hider. What parts are you using for 922r compliance?
I don't understand the question, sorry.
Can you install the cleaning rod? The pamphlet says to not install...
(Best/proper spec ones)
Mine ejected like shit during the "grinding process" and hoping it's smoothed out being I shelved it being my warranty was up by the time I noticed it. Smh
Not sure if a LEMON OR just the nature of a SAM7 on the "Loose tolerance" end if the spectrum (bolt stem and carrier hole likely play the biggest role due to excess bolt "droop"
Have heard it's due to a upper rail thickness having a .012" difference between different receivers making the carrier sit lower in the ones with thinner rails.
🍋
What year is your Arsenal?
@@tony21084 13 aka "53*... It works but it's all over the place.
Got a spare carrier and the bolt stem fits snug.
Beautiful 😍
Great video. Glad I got mine when I did.
Why'd the bolt hold back at 13:26 ? It looked like a Circle 10 waffle mag. Maybe it's a hold open mag, hard to tell.
Yeah, one of Jay's US BHO mags I'm sure.
@@misha5670 Ah okay. Thanks. Also, yes, I and I'm sure others would be interested in hearing your more personal opinions on your other channel regarding the whole SAM7 subject. Black box vids rule!
Wait are both 24mm muzzle threading? Not 14mmLH?
Like to see you do a video on choosing the correct sling for an Ak when trying to stay with what should be original to the rifle. There are so many variations. I imagine most wont even notice that Sam7sf does not have a typical fixed stock sling. And the wear inspections is off the wall now, i see old videos of people showing their Polytech legends and and notice hammer peening on them. Thanks
Hey Mish, what mags do you run in your Sam 7sf?
Run the Bulgarian waffle mags. They’re about $50 a piece but they’re mint. That’s what he has in these
These are 1800 on the regular now - w/o the Enhanced FIMEUS trigger lol
Like to know what accessories use the accessory lug!
Umm condum machine?
@@misha5670 mostly I listen to your videos but after seeing half a cleaning rod installed I think I understand the accessory lug.
I didn't know half was to be kept in the magazine bag. Although I did know only half could be stored on the firearm.
You have an unusual idea for the accessory lug.
In the military, it was once used to mount an under barrel grenade launcher. Honestly its just a leftover from the old AKM days but kept there 'just in case' its ever needed.
The secret of the cleaning rod dilemma finally solved!!!
So can it be installed while using it to have that original Ak look !?
Sure would like to see how well the function don't care for the side folder the M70 under folder paratrooper model its designed not to get in the way folds under perfect function as a metal grip as well if the wood stock gets hot but that my opinion Kalashnikov or siaga milled reciever not plated
With that metal piece on the left side reminds me more of a wasr not a Kalashnikov
Honestly, we've both given what thoughts we have on PSA during our last 3 or so Q&A sessions.
Do like the synthetic mags reducing weight but the metal work just as well but anything ak is bad ass
@@misha5670 Oh, I bought the SAM7R. It was cheaper than the SLR 107.
I am seeing these for 1500 to 1700 right now
I have a Sam7uf I love mine
I hope they will bring Rs and UFs in aswell
Trevor they brought R’s last summer
todd brooks Yeah I regret getting rid of my UF I’d like to get an R soon
Glad I paid the 1400 3 or 4 years ago love mine my thought was bye once cry once might as well get one of the best
Hey Misha. What’s is the best ak on the market right now? 7.62x39. Thank you
Arsenal sam7sf .. budget go with Zastava m70
MY FAVORITE AK !! CHINESE POLYTECH SPIKER TYPE 56
How can I change from folding stock to fixed stock....? Do it possible?
Brother, what do you think about Sam7SF?
And that piece on the left side not on an actual Kalashnikov
1800.00 HERE FOR THE NEW ONES.
The Myth, The Legend
Mishaco 👍
Very nice!! Congrats!
🙏💪🇺🇸💪🙏
Got mine in 2006.
Best fix for the crappy Arsenal acrylic paint is to strip it off and paint it with Duracote.
Yep, couldn't agree more. Don't like it? just repaint it, problem solved.
And there are owners of this miracle in the comments? Can you share your experience?
I’m unlucky to get into Aks at a bad time. Everyone wants their money back online used. Still hunting for a arsenal.
K-VAR is asking $1350 for the SAM7 fixed stock.
On their website? Is it in stock again?
No, it's not in stock, but that is the price listed (marked down from $1399). They have the SAM7-SF listed for $1450.
I wish i can own ak in Canada
At least you have Vz.58s.
Keep electing reelecting royalty like Trudeau and it will never change
Yeah, no its not going to change regardless. Gun laws seem to only move 1 direction no matter which nation you're in around the world. Only exceptions? In a few formerly communist nations in East Europe in the '90s. They were all about allowing civilian gun ownership for a time because for decades teh communist gov'ts said they could not.
I would place a vepr ak47 as my top choice then a sam7 as my number 2 to bad both is hard to find and doubled in price
For me personally, a standard VEPR is a sad chopped down RPK.
If you could only choose one would you take a vepr rpk or a sam7?
SAM7 probably. A more, better rounded gun. While both weigh roughly the same, the VEPR's weight is mostly out towards the muzzle, while the SAM's is centered and thus it balances in te hand better. Also, damn do i just love me some milled receiver *shrug*
That rpk barrel is going to be no joke, only place I would want to shoot a vepr is from a rest or a pod
Woot woot 👍🏼🇺🇸
Them some nice looking AK-47s
Arsenal on Instagram said these were coming back
Gee, wish I had talked about that in this video....oh, wait! lol
@@misha5670 sorry misha I could only watch about 3/4s on lunch :)
I'll let it slide....this time....but next time, I expect better! lol j/k
Johnny Rude Really?!
Nothing left now but Jack & Shit, and Jack just left town. Corona has royally screwed Arsenal.
Don't care for the flash suppressor

Easily 2k gun as of 2024
WOW, aprox $1500 for an AK! No Thanks! ill buy two or three others and be good for what ever!
@@misha5670 MORE MONEY THAN BRAINS!!!
If you ever shot one. You would know why it’s that price.
Nice gun. But, the metal stock is too long by all standards. Some dudes are looking funny shooting it. This part of the gun must be improved.
As usual he is dead on acurate
I em from Pakistan
This was dull it reminded me of those films they showed me in school.
No new content so we have micha on loop. 6 videos that repeat that say the same thing. Arsenal sam7sf vid from 2015 is same sam7sf vid from 2016 2017 2018 2019 n now 2020. Sad bcuz this used to be so interesting channel. Its not just the sam7sf vid its all of them anymore is just same stuff. Wat happened micha
What happened? I guess you fell asleep and haven't been paying attention to what we publish. Sounds like you only pay attention when there is an Arsenal AK video. Otherwise, you'd see we actually show more new and/or different guns than any other channel. What of the MP44, Yugo M56, various Japanese guns, various Berettas, several retro ARs, several Q&As, storytime episodes, and so on. We put out 3 to 4 videos a week. Sure we repeat....when people ask about something multiple times a week. That's a clear indication that the older videos are no longer cutting it, so time for an update.
