Very nice Mike! I just can’t get enough of your quirky houses. So fun to see them in this hilltop village town. Thanks for including your paint and brush information also! I always look forward to your posts. The monochromatic to color technique is very effective. You are so talented and I appreciate you sharing! Please keep up your post as they are very unique. 🎨🖌️☀️🌙⭐️🌎
I love this! i will be attempting this to go with my quirky collection of ducks and houses. Im a beginner and your supplies info really helps me heaps. I have learnt more from you in 6ish wks than I have 6mths with other tutorials. Thank you for sharing your talents
A Plus on the additional flavor toward the end of the tutorial. Thanks for your relaxing easy does attitude. It helps us less experienced and anxious new water colorists take more risks . That’s the liberating joy of watercolor. 👩🏼🎨👍🦋
I love this. I like to paint my pretend little villages, but now I know how the real pretend villages should look. Thank you. I can’t describe how much I enjoyed it!
Your work is so delightful! I love the quirkiness and the subtle colors. I’m also learning some watercolor tips and tricks. Your pictures make me smile, and that’s a true gift.
I’m a new viewer & subscriber. I want to thank you for your delightful watercolors. They make me smile! The colors are so peaceful and soothing. It is so helpful to us newcomers that you are kind enough to list your supplies, especially the brushes and paint colors. Thank you for sharing your talent and knowledge with everyone. I look forward to watching all of your tutorials.

I love the way you evolved the roofs into walls using the stiffer flat brush. The three doors look a bit lost though, they are more like ‘standing stones’ out of Outlander - doors to another time and place perhaps? Your wee people are so very clever. Thanks for sharing your skills so generously Mike.
I just discovered your tutorials and I'm loving it! I have learnt a lot from you and painting with you is fun. Could you do more tutorials of painting a town, buildings and streets, but not speed version? Greetings from Poland.
Thank you, thank you! I feel like I just had my own personal art lesson. I’m enjoying learning from you and look forward to exploring more of your past videos as well as your website. I hope it’s a lovely upcoming weekend where you are!
Thank you so much Mike. I absolutely enjoyed watching you create this marvellous painting and I really really love it. I adore your method and I've subscribed and given you a like too. Please stay safe and well too

I've just discovered Mike Jackson in the last few days. I just love these little house works. They're so vibrant and muted, all at the same time. Such skilled technique and ease of application. Love it!
Just fabulous, Mike - thanks for sharing all your tips and expertise in a way that makes it so much fun! Can't wait to give this a go and to find other ways to use this as inspiration! :))

I really like your style of painting, thank you for sharing. It is also really helpful seeing the paints you use and how you mix them. I have looked at Daniel Smith paints and found most of the ones you use, but I can't find Opera Rose. It shows Opera Pink or Quinacridone Rose. Which one is the one you would recommend? Thank you Ps, you mention about how different brushes achieve different effects, on paper, but would anyone else find it useful to understand how synthetic brushes put the paint down differently to non synthetic brushes?
My little flat brushes keep splaying out when I wet them and they don't allow me to do single lines, like the little chimney pot tops. They are fine when they are dry and I look after my brushes. Do you have any idea why this is happening? x
Couldn't wait to try this... painting along ..... Thank You! 💖💝

I think you are asking about his chimney shadows; go back to about 32:00 where he talks about deciding where the light comes from.

He uses Sennelier rose opera. It has more purple in it than the Daniel Smith Opera pink has in it.
@@annettehansen6329 thank you so much 😀
I'm confused with your aerial wires - the antenna picks up the signal, the wire goes into the house. Each one is not wired to an outside source?
It’s just my quirky art. Not meant to be accurate 🥴
Ahh sorry pet..i need to unwind the braincell. Love your work, especially listening to you talking through it.
