This was such a treat to sit back and learn new techniques explained in your easy going manner. I just found you and I feel a new enthusiasm as a novice watercolor student. I am rewinding your tutorial and I have my paints ready to go! Much appreciation for sharing your talent with all of us.
I did this one!!! Your color mixes are fantastic!!! It took a couple tries to get the hues you have created for your whimsical houses. I just had to use the colors and paints you use to get those hues! They’re absolutely beautiful! You have such a masterful talent !! Thank you so much!! I turned on the notification bell ! I don’t want to miss any of your great tutorials!! Please keep them coming!!!
Wonderful! Your style is so fresh & the explaining along the way is really really helpful. Thank you for taking the time to redo your previous painting with your full palette. Much appreciated! 😊
Awww you’ve done it again! I want to live there. When it gets closer to Christmas it would be lovely if you could paint one of these village scenes with a nod to the Yuletide Season. Thank you for sharing your creativity. 🎨✨
@marionbik Great idea, Marion :))) Christmas will be here in no time (actually, it seems to travel faster the older I get...). Mike is the right artist to add even more joy, light, and Magic to the Christmas Season.🌠
You are just such a pleasure to watch Mike!!!. From your casual attitude to the gorgeous colors, and not to mention your whimsical style!!!. I can watch you for hours Mike, thank you so much for the instructions you give us. We get so much pleasure from your work!.❤
Couldn't stop watching this tutorial - from one step to the next to see what you would paint next and how you would blend those beautiful colors. So beautiful!!!
When ever you post one of these I feel like I’m going on a mystery vacation to a mystical Fantasy place and try to picture what we will be doing there .... 💖✨💝💫💞 Thanks for sharing 💝
New to art and painting with watercolours. Loved this tutorial and looking forward to finding more of the same. Wonderfully inspirational. Can’t wait to give it a try. Thank you
Watched in awe, love your skills and the information you impart. I’m a newbie to watercolour at 71 so need all the help I can get!😅Subscribed. All the best from a Man of Kent now living in WA.👍🇦🇺🇬🇧🙏
Hi Mike. Apart from your technique, which I really enjoy a lot, I like the fact that your videos are real time, not super fast like most are. I find when I think about your videos I slow down and take my time and the results are so much better.
❤ Mike, thank you once again. What an amazing talent you are. I am so in love with your wonderful video tutorials, you have a very easy listening voice, what a pleasure to have you on RUclips. Thank you so much. You have taught me so much. ❤
I’m grateful I found your channel. I am developing my style here in Montana USA, and I really love the western landscapes here with old homestead buildings and our town buildings in general. I live in a very rural area. I am drawn to your colorful, whimsical style using a saturated and harmonious color palette, not necessarily the wind-blown grays of the dry winds and structures here in the badlands. I recently completed an overworked (I’m learning) painting of three grain elevators, and I liked the colors, despite the fact that I fiddled too much. It’s fun to see your confidence with your paint strokes. Leaving little “dots” of white really keeps the painting alive, if that makes sense. Thanks so much for sharing your talent and instruction.
I was so happy to see a video from you today! Beautiful as always and great tutorial. Extra bonus was your intriguing video transitions...cool editing. Thank you so much.
Thank you for the beautiful tutorial , I really love your unique way of getting your sky and trees and the pops of color you used ! I gave this a try for Margot Lofts watercolor challenge and mine turned out beautiful ! Thank you again and Blessings from WA! ❤
Love your painting style, Mike! These are lovely. Very fun and whimsical. I only wish you offered traceables? I love to paint, but the drawing part is very difficult for me. Something to consider? Thank you for these relaxing and informative videos. Keep them coming! 😀
Just a quick question, mainly for clarification since I’m such a new painter…is the light coming from the upper right? I’m assuming that because of the shadows from the chimneys.
oh i love this. do you know if your daniel smith opera rose is the same as paul rubens op rose please, i dont know if my mixing isnt right or the paul rubens is too fluro bright. am a beginner
Great lesson from you. Thank you for sharing in real time and with NO MUSIC 👍 the music most people use is so annoying and distracting that I have to turn off their channel. I’m not sure why they choose what they choose but it’s great that you don’t use music.
