The biggest Scam in Pokemon History ft. King Pokemon (Gary Haase)
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 16 июн 2021
- In this video we focus on how King Pokemon ( Gary Haase ) has been setting up what will be considered the biggest scam in Pokemon history. The self declared king of Pokémon has confessed to intentionally inflating prices of his collection before selling them privately to give the illusion that he still owns his cards. Gary sold 16% ownership of his beloved Charizard collection to a business partner that he has been dealing with for years and can even be seen in the famous episode of Pawn Stars. We’ll also briefly touch on how he uses famous youtubers such as Logan Paul, Leonhart, realbreakingnate and more to pump up his prices and reputation. Also if you want to see the cut content from this video please let me know and I will do a follow up video.
Gary paid $10,993 for his first BGS prestine 10 in 2017, Gary currently claims the card is valued at 1,000,000 USD in 2021, meaning the price of the card was inflated by 8,996.7% in less than 4 years.

I have started revealing some additional issues with King Pokemon, including his racist and bigoted comments that he has openly made on efour. Please check out my Twitter for screenshots and details.
Superb Job done Mate! Its absolutely necessary that He gets unmasked, what a scumbag and manipulator He is.

Top notch mate .
@@daneandrews6218 Here are some things to note:
1.) Gary's charizards that he only has 84% ownership of are being stored there.
2.) The storage units are not under his name (likely under Thuan's name) as he stated in Stephan Graham's interview.
3.) Gary & Steve agree'd that Gary is going to hold on to cards until he dies, this is likely due to public image reasons.
4.) Gary slipped recently in Pokenomics stream and stated that he tried to wipe off Arita's signature, but nobody in the chat mentioned it.
I'm wondering if Gary is getting ready to dump his collection or falsey state that he was robbed whenever Steve starts pressuring Gary to sell.

Good video and thank you for shading light to this man
The way Gary opened that booster box and yanked those packs out… the guys face next to him describes how we all felt there lol
Question: "Do you pay taxes on your Pokemon Sales?"
Gary: "No"
IRS: "On my way"
I gasped just a little that people think that capital gains aren’t a thing.
It's a must you pay taxes on anything you sell in America that's why you supposed to pay for your sales tax license but some people get over on the system but when you making big sales for purchases like that it's best you go ahead and pay Uncle Sam and do charities and get your money back
@@survivingdatrapptv same here in Australia re the selling of assets like collectibles, shares in listed companies, antiques or real property.
@@curiouscollectiblesAU collectibles aren’t subject to capital gains
The IRS states that collectibles are capital assets under publication 544.
“Did king Pokémon pull a King Henry VIII”
What a fantastic comment LMAO
who wouldve thought collectable markets are easily manipulated by whales?
This has been going on for decades. Glad to see people catching on in 2021
Bro, the way he handled that booster box made me cringe. That had to be intentional just in case a charizard was pulled and added to the pop count. That was rough to watch. Gary SUCKS!!!
I'm convinced all gary has is that one suitcase of Charizards.
i agree. bet you he doesnt know any sets after base set. also wtf was up with that porygon seizure shit

He said on Pawn Stars that he "continued with Pokémon" after his kids grew up but he clearly doesn't know or care about anything other than his Charizards.
I hope one day someone asks him in an interview why he pulled out the packs out of the Booster Box so weirdly. I‘m really curious what his answer will be. That’s clearly an attempt to control the PSA 10 pop
I felt sick to my stomach the moment I heard him say a bunch of kids getting seizures from a Pokemon episode was "cool", and felt like I was about to barf when he said he wanted to see if it would happen with his kid. This feels like sociopathy, if not outright psychopathy.
Oh, and that one clip where he carelessly tears open a box while an ACTUAL collector/enthusiast cringes off to the side, that just says it all.
Dont mix the two they arent the same
I feel sorry for his kids, such a terrible father as far as i can tell
Clearly he intentionally did it to try and damage the cards so to ensure the population of PSA 10 Charizards didn't increase and lower the value of his collection.
I find it funny how he called Caribou a scalper for just opening packs on youtube... yet all his "friends" do the same
This... this hurts. It hurts pretty badly.
As someone who recently got sorta back into pokemon card collecting and researching about Logan Paul and Gary how their transactions and graded cards came to be... this just ruins everything knowing the truth that Gary was really the cancer that power creeped his influence into the hobby and devastated it for his own gain and greed. I hate knowing that he's just a fucking hack this whole time... from his interviews to his hyping up the zard slabs going on the pawn stars episode.
I wouldn't be hurt for just the fact that he was hyping up the slabs but the simple fact that he not only doesnt have a variety of card collection like he claims but... he doesn't even know his shit about any of it. Just enough to make him sound like he's "the king" of pokemon... What a real Mr. Satan from Dragon Ball Character in real life this guy is just bothers me so much I... I don't resent him I actually hate him.
Pokemon King : Pokemon cards are like memory of a child
Also Pokemon King : start to destroy a beautiful booster box
Omfg the way he was pulling those packs out of the box I couldn't even look man what a shame
I private messaged him on eBay late last year to try and buy a 1st edition pack because I wanted to open one. He told me it would at least cost $25k and that he paid $20k a piece for them. I don’t think he paid near that much and couldn’t imagine him buying them for $20k cause those are over inflated prices. Just my experience with Gary. After that, I didn’t think he was the same person as you see on RUclips.
They are worth a lot, 100% not worth 25k though. He’d sell you a light pack at that too.
@@matthewscaggs9016 That's exactly what he would do, and he would damage the packs to keep his cards valued higher like at 41:30
Here’s my theory. He bought a bunch of this stuff when it was at it’s height in value before it cratered. Now he’s trying to keep the value high long enough for him to unload it all.
Most likely theory I've heard.
@@vamountainman2512 yeah, I bought Bitcoin years and years ago to use on Silk Road and misplaced the hard drive when I moved. Then I found it when I came to help my mom clean up my grandparent’s old house after my grandma died. I sold it very close to the all time high. But I saw so many people in that space buying when it was absolutely absurdly priced because people told them it would never go down. It’s not exactly the same situation, but it has a similar feel to me, of people manipulating other people so that they could get their money back out of an “asset” before it cratered.
“this is a collector’s game” homeboy i am going to punt you through the atmosphere
That's a nicer thought than I had. :) Thank you for your restraint. LOL
Wow this guy is a jackass while yes I'm more collector but I still enjoy playing online
It’s a players game of course. That line alone made me pissed
@@michaelpeters78 Your comment is only one view. Just because you saw no battles neither confirms your view as fact nor proves there were no battles. When I was originally into the game, during Base Set Unlimited, Pokemon tournaments were much more attended than M:TG tournaments, with parents like me joining in with their children. Does that mean that there was no collecting? No, because both existed, with a large player base among the collectors. Yes, players had their favorite cards and Pokemon, but they also enjoyed deck building and trying to see if they could make their favorites viable for playing.
the pokemon community will never be healthy ever again. price pumpers, toxic people, scalpers. pokemon used to be about happiness and nostalgia, of course, money has always been a factor but it never was the main factor. I miss those days were we will all carry our cards in our pocket not caring about money and just caring about having shiny cardboard
Yeah, I wish I kept my charizard I had from when I was a kid in good condition but with it being sat in my binder now all battered and scratched up, it’s still special. Maybe even more so than if I kept it good. I remember taking it everywhere with me for at least a week after I got it. Memories are more special than money..
It´s as healthy as you perceive it, just don´t surround yourself with people you deem not healthy for the hobby.
If a card was in my pocket as a kid it was also In 3 other cases. I wanted my shit to look fresh
Seriously, I can't imagine it now. I had to trade a decent amount of my good yugioh cards for the three headed blue eyes dragon. So many memories from the hype of summoning that boy. Rip my boi jinzo tho, he was better than that trade
Move to yugioh lol better people imo
Finally someone posts a video like this..as a lifetime Pokémon fan and person who did NOT stop playing the games. The attention brought to TCG has permanently damaged the “hobby” I understand collecting vintage, but modern sets are ruined until production is seriously increased to meet demand.
I just like to collect cards and I'm trying to get one of each Pokemon as a card. Not every card made for that pokemon but, just 1 card of a certain pokemon. Like Eevee for example..I just want one card, not every card of Eevee ever made. Also. I don't understand the hype for Charizard cards. But that maybe because I don't like Charizard to begin with because of how Pokemon seams to milk it.
Buying online is absolute hell with overpriced offers and fakes. Thanks scalpers, I just want to pull Break cards on my own.
This bastard has the gall to call the signature of Mitsuhiro Arita THE ARTIST of the base set Charizard "little to nothing" and wanted to take it off and be a hypocrite by making his own card and tell people to get it signed by him.
loved this video! I am so glad that you were able to read between the lines and expose his shady practices.
If I was interviewing him and he said I was hoping it would affect my kid, I would have had to had some words off camera
Plot twist. Gary is Gary, Ash’s nemesis, and he won…
Thanks for making this. I feel there's more than a few people that think just because you donate to charity or pretend to be a decent human being makes you one. This guy is clearly full of shit and has a lot of people fooled. I also can't believe people are saying your reaching when you're using clips of HIMSELF outting HIMSELF lol.
It seems like he is putting in a strong back story on his storage locker across his RUclips channel and various podcasts.
It’s almost like he knows it’s empty and wants to give out enough information for some criminal to break in. He’d then be able to claim on his insurance for his ‘precious items’ using all these clips as proof that there were in fact cards in it. But the whole time it’s been empty 😂
How can Gary’s most expensive items be at this storage locker when he’s literally walking around with the most expensive cards in the hobby? I’ll never understand lol
@@lovesgibson the lost ark, and the holy grail
But what if he did have a storage locker full and since people saying hes fake he went and showed it and wasnt lieing and bamn crap ton of base set booster boxes ect
So Gary claims to have 3 storage lockers full of collectibles. In the Graham Stephan interview, Gary states that 80% of the contents are a mixture of other card games that never took off and are “worthless”. This clip will be included in my next video.
Gary showing off a storage locker full of collectibles would prove nothing at this point, and would be a sad attempt to save face.
Thanks for doing all this research and making this video, i really hope more people in the community will get to see it.
this popped up in my feed, I think you did a great video. I've already seen stuff exposing this guy as a total ass hat before but damn I didn't realize how deep it went. Gary is just an old man version of the kid that tried to rip you off after school for pokemon cards and got them banned. That's all that needs to be said.
Wouldn’t surprise me if Gary pulls an insurance job. His ‘$10 million’ collection suddenly gets stolen from his storage unit. Along with his pumping and dumping in Pokemon.
his collection isn't insured
Can't insure something that doesn't exist
there were countless red flags in this video, but the biggest being "his signature means nothing" made me feel legitimately ill... imagine lacking such self awareness as well as actual care for the community as a whole and still openly calling yourself one of the greats (better yet, the greatest) amongst all pokémon collectors ??? the disrespect is beyond
unbelievable.

@@EXOglobe Hate to break it to you, but I think you misunderstood. I'm saying both him and PS could have been "negotiating" for the sole purpose of episode content with neither party intentionally looking to sell/buy, respectively.
"...he wasn't going to sell if his offer was met...." means, he might have gone there with a ballpark figure in mind, KNOWING he had no intention of selling IF they met what would have been his suitable offer amount.
Think of it like a reserve on an eBay listing. Dude goes there knowing he wants to hear the number $150k said aloud to confirm/inflate what he believes is the value of his cards.

All of these Pokémon Afficionados, and not a single person in this video said it correctly.
Some of the points presented (like to whole pumping up prices and how his ego is where it is) I found valid and of course important to take into consideration, and some others I felt just either a kick below the belt (like "ask him why he abandoned his family"), or kind of trying too hard (like how is it a community issue the fact he sold a small ownership percentage to a lifelong friend that has helped him with that exact collection).
