And the Pete Rose cards are fake. I use to have one from that company when I was a kid. I bought it at Kroger's and got lucky. It isn't washed out... It's like a regular picture.
Sounds ridiculous but just saying yeah they're worth a lot of money in their popular right now and we're always kind of popular but the market is going to go lower eventually
Wow, Chumlee is the easiest to work with...seeing him go straight in the middle relatively easily instead of insisting on going like 30 or 20 percent of what they want is a breath of fresh air coming from pawn stars.
It depends. If Chumlee is familiar with item, then yes, you're 100% right, he's the best to work with. You don't have to deal with the Harrison ego. If Chum isn't familiar then he lowballs to air on the side of caution
From what research I have done, the one worth the real money is the original Charizard without the darker colors on the right side of the card. I think one sold for like 370k iirc.
That Charizard collection is probably the best in the world and the prices on Charizards are climbing up fast. The store should have definitely made an offer...
@@Blackheart_RisesThose Yu-Gi-Oh cards are they in good condition or sleeved? And are they 1st Eds of the early series sets such as Metal Raiders, Pharoh's Servant or Legend of Blue-eyes?
I had every 90s pokemon card. All perfect condition. My mother being the kind soul she is, gave them to a little boy who had nothing. It breaks my heart still. I had them all.
As some have noted, the Pokemon Collection is worth well over $10M right now, and I would say probably $20-$25M easy a year ago at the height of the Pokemon surge. The BGS 10 Charizard alone, is a $1M card by itself (It was estimated at $20-$30K in the video), and yes, for those that didn't know, Logan Paul wore a BGS 10 Charizard around his neck for his fight against Mayweather. Even PSA 10s were approaching $750K at one point last year, and this guy Gary, has 20+ of them. If he had sold this very same collection a year ago, it probably would of gotten near $50M. Prices for Pokemon (and Trading cards in general) have subsided quite a bit since their peak not too long ago, but is still quite high from its value at the time of the episode. FYIt: Logan Paul bought one of the PSA 10 Charizard for $300K from him (Gary)
@gene9230 except they can't really, because it'll still be a card printed today, not back then. They print it exactly as it was, and that Charizard from 1999 will still be just as rare and just as expensive because those exact copy Charizards printed today...are printed today, not in 1999. A great example of this is the magic the gathering black lotus. The original printing sells for way more than the reprinting which numbered in the tens of thousands. Those reprints still cost a couple grand, while a psa 10 alpha black lotus will cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. They could print black lotuses today, same art and everything . They'd be worth dirt compared to the older releases.

I'm genuinely surprised no one has tried to bring in magic the gathering cards for an episode. I'm sure Rick would absolutely lose his mind if he found out how much an Alpha black lotus was worth.
For real. I had a real problem with MtG collecting back in the day, and gave away my collection to break the habit. One of the cards was a foil Grim Monolith, which was worth like $200 or $300 when I gave it away. I was telling this to a friend of mine buys special edition memorabilia, and he looked up the price... It's worth more than 10x that now. And it's not even that great of a card. Then again, given how little interest he had in Pokemon cards, I can't see him attempting to figure out how the MtG market works. You're probably better off selling expensive cards through online traders or dedicated gaming shops, a pawn shop is likely going to significantly undercut the value you could get elsewhere, and the existing market is so strong that it's not like you'd have to go to a pawn shop to unload cards for cash... Any card dealer will buy good cards on the spot.
@@RamadaArtist Grim monolith is a very strong artifact in EDH (commander), and with it being reserved list (ie wizards said they'd never reprint it) the foils are very expensive now
came here for this comment! thought that over the 10+ years the show has ran, SOMEONE has to have brought in high end magic cards? but I think the secondary market is so hot that nobody needs to go to a pawn shop to get ~50% on their collection - they can go to their local hotshot LGS and offload the high end stuff for probably more than Rick would offer. Every episode after: I don't know ANYTHING about this but i have an "EXPERT" lol
Rick: "It's...Like a game that 8 year old kids play right?"
Me: *Giggles in mid to late 30's*
First of all they're authentic. I think that's what I like most about them, their authenticity.
Rick is so good in finding out if the Pete Rose card is legit that the owner went out doubting his existence.
Lmao and then Rick doubted his own existence once he found out how big of a F*** up he made not buying that Pokémon collection for $500,000 😂
“I’ll bet Pete Rose’s reputation that it’s real”
**Fake**
There goes his reputation RIP
Funny thing is if that dude didn’t say anything about if it’s fake or not would he have even noticed?
I remember when I collected Pokemon cards it took a long time to get a Charizard out of the pack then someone stole it and not long after that I decided to stop collecting them.I was so happy when I got that card. But yeah this is just one of those things where you need a collector who knows about them to buy them.
I used to love all those spoof brand stickers when I was a kid!
Love how this guy is questioning all reality over 5 baseball cards 😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣
That whole collection of Pokémon cards can be worth over 10 million
My man questioned his whole life over some Baseball cards 💀💀💀
hey this is a cool youtube channel. I am a 10 year old and my dad gave me all of his cards when he was a kid in the early 90s. I started my own youtube channel opening up cards, your youtube has given me some good tips. thanks.
"what's real?" "Am I real?"
*Rips a part of his face off*
My guy went from fake cards to questioning reality 😂😂
That 1 card alone is worth more than what the guy was asking for the whole collection
ricks biggest loss of all time with those 1st edition charizards
I almost died of laughter when Rick showed up to authenticate the card.
Crazy that 1 charizard is now worth what was appraised for all of them after just a few years - Rick missed out LOL
Yup and it’s only going to go up in price lol Pokémon stock value just keeps going up and up and up.
Walks into a pawn shop to sell his cards, ends up questioning his whole existence
Pete Rose cards in mint condition, doubtfully, but he doesn't even have them in protective sleeves in the least.
"I love Pokemon!"
Only has Charizard.
This is how the Pokemon Company views all their players.
Chum: this is my favorite Jail-O
😂😂😂
