Only good competitive games can make full use of a fast 1080p monitor. I notice people who buys 1440p or 4k monitors are casual players who suck in game. Those expert and pros in csgo, overwatch, pubg that really require skills to play, these type of games usually buy 1080p monitors with high refresh rate.. so I guess u are just the noobie casual gamer who goes for high reso but totally no skill. ;)
Pro tip though: people should stop sheeping eachother by claiming motion blur reduction (black frame insertion, dyac+, ELMB, ULMB etc) provides a ''smoother'' visual. It actually does the *exact* opposite. It'll make any refresh rate and framerate appear clearer during motion, but choppier because it... well... removes motion blur - which usually creates the illusion of smooth movement. It increases motion clarity at the cost of smoothness, usually some brightness (unless dyac+) and approximately 0.5-1 frame of input lag. Remember those flickering 60hz CRT displays (if you're old, like me)? Yeah, that's the idea, but at much higher refresh rates usually.
@@r00kiet80 not really, for 27 inches, full hd is actually really blurry. I bought the Alienware 27 inch that is full hd and 240hz. The graphics looked like crap so I returned it the next day.

I'll let you know when I can buy a ps5 😂
I'll be waiting! Thanks!
I saw the price in the us for 400 for the 27 inch model and 320 for the 24 inch model and thought “thats a steal!”
Id agree!
Very nice review. Did you notice yellowish image when enabling HDR in Windows, or some other change?
Turning hdr on in windows always looks off. You only do that to watch/play hdr content.
@@TechTesters Thank you. Its my first HDR monitor and wondered if its normal behaviour.
@@WinstoneSmith yeah windows just isn't that great at HDR yet 😁
How come the only LG monitor featured in the graphs is the 34UC99? Would love to see how this thing compares to let's say a LG 27GL850? Other then that, great video, you guys rock!
I know... Hard time getting my hands on it. But in time ;). And thank you!
@@TechTesters The Dutch market supply is kinda weird alright. I've contacted several web shops and LG directly to request information on stock for several of their monitors. All I got was a standard reply that there were no known issues with supply on their end, but they couldn't give me any details when they would resupply the Dutch retailers. Got fed up and ordered from Germany, and got it delivered just over a week later... Maybe worth a look if some models are still sold out in the Netherlands?
wow you were playing BO2 !! that was my favourite
