I hope it works out this time but it seems like you are doing the same things and expecting different results. I encourage you not to journey alone but they should really have their own rig in my opinion. Hopefully third time is a charm. Be safe out there.

For 2 people, 2 dogs and winter season your classic FSJ would have been better suited for the adventure, but that's just me. You need to get a good quality trailer to travel with, maybe a Smittybilt scout trailer. Also give yourself a break every four to six weeks by checking into a hotel or house. You don't have to live like you are in the sandbox anymore, you can rough it in style. I love those mountains in the NC, SC, GA, and TN. Beautiful area. Be sure to check out the Horse Pasture Road in South Carolina while you are in the area.
