I was approached by a guy at work last week who asked me if the patch on my bag was for Last Line of Defense, the youtuber. I was thrilled to say yes and chat with him a bit about your channel. He and I talked about your holsters and CCW and overlanding. On another exciting and relevant note, my 13 year old car died about 5 months ago, and I've been gearing up to buy a new vehicle. Needless to say, I settled on a Tacoma, largely because of your channel. I've got the loan approved and one picked out and this saturday my wife and I are gonna go to the dealership to finalize everything! I picked out a 2020 TRD Off Road in Quicksand Tan as a tribute to you (and also because it's a badass color 😉) Thanks for all the great content, keep it up!
Too funny... I recognize that fire ring, I was just there at that same camp spot last weekend and had a fire as well. Fortunately thanks to people like you, It was nice and clean when I got there, of course as always I made sure the fire was out (nice having snow on the ground this time of year) and the area was spotless when I left.
Love the videos. A while back you asked your viewers if they liked/preferred having music in your videos... Love the music choice. Keep it coming. There are so many content creators on RUclips and one of the things that set you apart is your quality editing and an element of that is your music. Sorry for the rambling. Take care and be safe.
Appreciate you letting me know - picking music and having it add that certain vibe is an aspect I enjoy in the video making process, so I'll keep doing it!
Great video - really like the scenery and gear information. Found your channel from your review and talk with Mike Glover from Fieldcraft Survival and his vehicle. Glad I found your channel and keep up the great work!
Love the Weekenderlander series! Keep them coming! We would also love to see more tutorials on camping/over landing. :) Also maybe a day/week in the life (to include Weekenderlander!)
I just wanted to say that I really appreciate the work you put into these videos. The videography is great. The music is great. The editing is sharp. Really enjoy the content as well - which is obviously what keeps me coming back. Keep them coming and keep doing what you’re doing. They’re awesome! BTW... really like “retro” vibe in this episode’s music - kinda 80s. 👍🏻👍🏻
If you ever go back you can remove the rocks between the bricks. The point of a setup like that is to suck oxygen in through the gap in the front of the ring and direct the smoke over the larger rock in the back keeping it away from campers.
Last Line Of Defense I loved the touch and paused the video to come to the comments and mention it. Interested to see what you do with it in the future.
Fell across you videos from watching EDC and now I’m completely hooked. The cinematography beats the hell out of Amarillo TX that’s for sure. Keep it all up , definitely positive life vibes from you , her and the puppy !! 👌🏼💪🏼
@@LastLineOfDefense yes sir! long story short, im waiting for a settlement and court case to come to an end from being hit by an 18 wheeler in 2017. I don't know if I can even drive for long periods of time to get there. im from Louisiana but im gonna sure try.
Hey mike I’m new to your channel but Ive been binge watching all your weekenderlander videos! Really dig the vlogs and the camo everything! Keep it up!
I don't have a JetBoil, but recommend the MicroRocket from MSR. Heats water up fast! Love it. Worked so well, my brother is going to pick up something similar to supplement his Jeep Camp gear.
Man that land cruiser is so damn sexy. Everything about it. One of my favorite builds. Both his Tacoma and land cruiser are so sick but I just love that cruiser
A little behind, but I've been following you for years. And I love your videos, before youtube got monetized, I actually learned allot firearms from you as well. Keep doing your thing my dude.🤙🏾💯
Great idea for the heated bed for the puppy 🐶 I can’t believe that someone put live rounds in the fire pit, have not seen joker yet this week I will get I thought the 360 at the beginning was pretty cool 😎 also just wanted to say I really enjoy the over night trips ok 👌🏼🔥🤠🔥Camping Russ out
I know gear is really your thing however I'd really like to see you talk about where you go to camp and some names of the trails you go on, a map reference would be great too. I know you're in Colorado but if I'm ever passing through there it would be cool to check out some of your spots. Love the channel and weekender lander series, I always get excited when it says you have a new video up. 👍👍👍
Anyone notice the new Toyo AT3s sitting off to the side? Mike you'll have to let us know your thoughts. Ive been holding off on buying anything until these tires came out.
I'd like to hear more about dog stuff. I have a dog and want to take him on adventures. What are some tips, lessons learned, medical considerations, or anything else you might have for us. Thanks
Hey, just here to say I really enjoy the videos, I just got my 2018 Tacoma offroad and I really enjoy the concept of overlanding, that said I'm enjoying all the content though 😊
Hey man. You guys go to some pretty epic spots! Any chance you could let us in on those spots or roads how to get to these parts? Sorry if already asked. Thanks!!
I went up to Mount Baldy a few weeks back. Sheriff and FSR said they were enforcing the new shooting rules. Writing fines for not shooting paper targets and jailing, yes jailing people for shooting trees. Apparently it’s against federal law. Very good video here! Keep it up man!
@@LastLineOfDefense If I recall, it was paper or clay targets only and no shooting of trees. They were warning people of some of the areas closing down for shooting up there because people trashed it and shot down trees. The saying ONE BAD APPLE still holding true in 2020. Its quite unfortunate!
Quick question. I just located a 1992 mint low low miles 80 series. The 80 or a newer model 4Runner? I'm 6 ft 2, it we be her and our Akita and my daily driver.
I’m looking into getting a second larger 80 to 100Ah LiFePO4 battery for my load out. The premade boxes use 18650 which you’ll see have 500 charge cycles to 80%. Lithium iron has around 2000 plus a much higher amp output at 50 amps+ for radio comms should I need it. Love the scenery, but I might take having some crumby neighbors in a tightly packed state park over getting shot by some cooked ammo. Glad your good.
The remote danger of cases can be mitigated by digging the fire out, or bringing a portable fire pit - both much better options than packing into a state park, in my opinion.
Ha! Watching this sitting in my ‘97 80 weighting for a tow truck. Died going to work this AM. Knew I should have taken the Power Wagon today! 🤣 (think it is the fusible link, never leave home without one in your 80 folks!)
Just recently found your channel while checking out reviews of 5.11 Defender Flex pants.I subscribed right after watching that video. I'm really enjoying your channel. Good work!👍
Do you have any water storage tips? I recently bought a couple of 7 gallon jugs to have as a 36 hour kit for my family of 5 (3 kids, no pets) but curious to what your water storage solutions are
It feels like I'm outdoors again when I'm watching your episodes during COVID-19. Thank you for all your information & content. I was wondering from Ashley's woman point of view, what are amenities/gadgets/gear that she might require? In the department of emergency kits, food/water, recovery supplies I am familiar with it.. but other than foam mattress, heating pad,.. not sure what else to bring so that my wife would be more comfortable during these excursions. I appreciate your channel. Thank you!!
Hey Mike, I never really got into the weekenderlander series at the start, but I’m really glad I started watching it. Artreyu is really cute, what breed is he? Hope you and your family stay well in these uncertain times.
Just noticed the big blue battery power thing I used in this video is $350 off on Amazon right now - amzn.to/2IhpGoq (idk how long the sale lasts).
Damn this thing is expensive even with discount.
Thank you ... 👍
How long does the power last before you can re charge it back?
Nice video editing btw.
Love from Missouri. My wife and I will be in ouray March 17th through the 19th. Mby we will see you!
Should totally do a video on finding great spots. What applications, tools you use. What to look for. All that kind of jazz
14:18 already got me thinking where Im taking a dump on that mountain.
My favorite way to spend a weekend, hunting and fishing with the girlfriend, the truck and the dog...beautiful warm sunrises and fresh country air.

LMAO most underrated comment ever.

Great video. Looks like a great little weekend out. I like the throwback land Cruiser. Doesn't have to always be shiny and new.
Best advice given: Completely putting out the fire and not leaving trash. 🔥🛢
