When Coop sneezed into the water you were pouring for cooking I lol’d…we camped twice this year with our two young boys and I felt your joy and stress in this one Mike! Great job, enjoyed it.
Mike, damn brother. What a heartfelt family adventure. You walking with cooper holding your finger hits the feels hard. Thanks for sharing your life with us. Stay safe brother.
My earliest memories of camping were boat camping with the family and extended family and I was about Cooper’s age; but I’ve been doing it since I was an infant. These memories, he will remember for rest of his life as well as your other children.
Down here in Florida so I finally have internet to watch some of your videos again after these storms. I’ve been subscribed since the beginning and this video genuinely made me just happy. So nice to see your family growing and all the memories and adventures. I’ve learned so much from you and appreciate all you do. So happy for you Mike!
Mike I always enjoy checking out your videos. Whether to daydream about how I want my Tacoma to turn out or to learn new things or just enjoy your wholesome family. It’s all goals brother and I wish y’all nothing but the best🤘🏼
You're proving why most overlanding videos don't relate to those of us with families. ANYONE can do it solo, or with another adult. But show me your setup with a family and that's a whole other thing! Its almost impossible to find good content in a 100 series with a family. Which is how I found Trip In A Van. They provide zero off road content, but they live off the grid and travel in a LC. I just wish we had more 100/200 series family overlanding channels out there. If we could get out more I'd do it, but we cant get out enough to make it happen. Thanks for making this vid Mike. Please make more of these, because yes, it is hard to do as a fam and thats ok. include the hard parts too. Cheers and God Bless.P.S. come to MOORE Expo.
Look into the KICKASS battery packs. Loads of anderson connectors. I've been thinking about pulling the trigger on one, but would love to see you review one first.
Mike, we appreciate you sharing videos like this of the whole family. I don't know if people realize the amount of time and effort it takes to prep, pack, load, and set up just for an overnight trip.
Just in case anybody is wondering, you can have the exact same experience in a 1973 C10 and a Walmart tent. The time, and the experience, and the family, are the important parts. The ride is meaningless. (This particular ride is cool. Don't get me wrong. But don't think you need a compensator for the value of this amazing experience.)
Can't fit a family of 5 and two dogs in a C10, haha. But yes, the sentiment I do preach all the time, to the point people probably get sick of it. Fwiw, this is an 08 with 145k miles, so nothing too fancy here
@@LastLineOfDefense I'm a little older than you. When I was a kid, mom and dad were in the cab and the three kids rode in the back....on the gear. But you're not wrong and I meant no disrespect. Perhaps I should have worded it better. People can go camping and enjoy themselves without a lot of dough. Cheers!
I actually got out last weekend. Went down to Platoro for an overnighter. Put more miles on the truck Saturday and Sunday than I have in the last year. Learned that a 6 hour drive might be a bit much for an overnight trip. 😅
Similar set up to my 470 I found some bins that fit below my platform and bought a few of them. I keep some loaded with tools for work(solar contractor) and others with BOB stuff, but still have others that I can stuff full of stuff for trips. Just a thought...
31:03 bluetti has something to do just as you described I have one for my ac200l I think it is called the dc80 or something… Currently figuring out how to wire up all my “house circuits” to the combo
Lovely family you got there Mike! Enjoyed the vid! I can't wait to do the same when I get my LX! Out of curiosity, did you end up purchasing aftermarket headlights or was it something that you did yourself?
I loved to see this setup. I have a 6 month old and never felt confident to take her out camping with our current setup so it was nice to get some ideas for next summer. Would you have had enough space with the hub 4xl and car connect?
How's the pukey dog doing? I hope they are much better! My now 9 month old pup has been great on trips now. No more middrive clean ups. It just took lots of drives and time!
Mike on your last LX570 video you mentioned the life expectancy on these reaching 400k + miles or something like that. Can you point me in the right direction to research that more? i can't find it on just general GOOGLE searches
Lexus, glorified Toyota .... 570 I take it has the 5.7 V8?.. noticed you mentioned your Sequoia had a few miles on it. They say there are many, many vehicles with that motor and even the 4.6 V8 that have half a million miles on them. So with Lexus, does that mean a 460 has the 4.6 V8?
@@LastLineOfDefenseDamn, brutal. Cool that you just keep trying. You’re good people. Love the latest vids, I can’t wait to get back up in the CO mountains.
@@LastLineOfDefense what dose of cerenia did your vet prescribe? The dose for motion/car sickness is much higher (8 mg/kg 2-3 hrs prior to travel, lasts 24 hrs) than the standard dose (1-2 mg/kg). A 45ish lb dog would get 160mg. You can also pair ondansetron (zofran) with the cerenia if needed.

I bought the jackery for 489. It's now 459. I can't win😂
This is what a real dad looks like, boys. Watch and learn.
Mike your videos are always a healthy and equal balance of “rugged” + “vibey” haha great video
Haha appreciate it!

Love the LX570 (LC 200) being used as they were designed. Plus it’s so good to take family time to go touch nature.
Just did our first 7 person camping trip in my 1997 suburban. 3 adults and 4 kids. THESE ARE THE MOMENTS WORTH LIVING FOR
My earliest memories of camping were boat camping with the family and extended family and I was about Cooper’s age; but I’ve been doing it since I was an infant. These memories, he will remember for rest of his life as well as your other children.
Let's hope they're mostly good memories, haha

Lol Lil man sneezed right into the pot. You gotta love it

Wow, as a family of 5 and a large dog, I’m impressed by the room in the LX. Might be looking for one of those in the future.
Awesome video and these are the ones you show your kids when they are older and the memories we live for! Thanks for bringing us along!
This was pretty awesome. It was really cool seeing you interact with your whole family.

Beautiful family Mike.
Beautiful family man and amazing video as always.

Been a long time since I went camping. Brings back memories. Some beautiful photography. Dogs love it!

Great video and thanks for taking us along with the family!!
Love the breakdown afterwards as usual and take care!!
Really enjoyed this video Mike! Thanks for bringing us along!
It looks like a great family weekend. My heart stopped when your toddler reached up beside the jet boil with scalding hot water in it.
Awesome family…keep on truckin 🙌🏻😎
Love the guitar soundtrack for this.
Nice! Looks like an awesome trip!

coop picking up the can he knocked down, what a gentleman ^-^
I've got the vcr setup in the living room watching old family videos, was just imagining there being sponsor product breaks on them Lol
32:19 Yo those are some nice RCs! Wouldn't mind seeing you do a video or two about those
God bless your family brother
Wow that dome tent is awesome…..I’m in.
1:20 I need that pin for spring turkey season! 😂
Nevermind, this is actually near where a friend has already told me to go that I just haven't gone to yet.
Camping with a baby.. you are a legend
Thats what it's about man ! Loved this one, and also now i want a landcruiser haha
31:03 bluetti has something to do just as you described

Yup, i have two bluettis that have it, they're both pretty big and heavy though
Damn, that waterproof bag sold out quick. I hate it when I’m not fast enough to spend money on shit I don’t need. Great video, Mike.
I dont think people realize just how massive the hub tent can be. We took the 4 hub double out and it was rad how much room there is.
Need to know more about that tent. Looking to order one. Do a video about it. Lol.
14:59 Ashley scared the shit outta me

Kids are thrivin’! Good to see Trey. Wish there was a magic pill for Maple to not yak. Maybe she can ride shotgun 😂

Can you please do a camping trip in your sequoia?
Great video
Adventures. 👍

@11:47 GEEZ i got nervous when your kiddo sneezed
i thought his head was gonna hit the lexus💀
Don't be too nervous, kids making a living hitting their heads on everything.
Could you fit three carseats across the second row? Or do you think the Sequoia is better for that?
The new ecoflow has a high output dc port on it. I’m pretty sure it’s the delta 3.
I think only on the pro, which is their huge one, really only for home use
3:18 I guess Mable still hasn’t gotten over carsickness, at least there was only one pile(?).
The cx3 25 you have for your general. Will that fit behind the seat on Lexus?
how to find good camping spots? is there an app you use or?
any camping spots recommendation in CO?
Mike we all know why you were at the gas station in the beginning of the video haha 😂
Mike on your last LX570 video you mentioned the life expectancy on these reaching 400k + miles or something like that. Can you point me in the right direction to research that more? i can't find it on just general GOOGLE searches
Edit: it’s uptop
I know you talked about the Garmin power switch but what lights are they controlling?
oh, I see you did reference background music source
How is the size of this compared to the 5th gen 4Runner?

Man get yourself a suburban 🤣🤣
Now your a official leaf peeper😢
@Mike, my dog pukes just like Maple. Get some Cerenia from the vet. It’s the only thing that works.
Cerenia didn't work for us. Best luck we've had was with Bonine, which seems to work about 50% of the time.

Are you and Matt Ogus related?
Yeah, brothers
That fishkill bag is unavailable
Yeah, gotta be fast! If I post a link to a product, there is a high likelihood of it selling out.
Are you Filipino ?
He’s half Korean
