Sweet rig, i’ve been thinking about getting one. What’s the top speed of the boat?
Thank you! Top speed with just me no gear about 30+. I run the boat with two adults and fishing gear about 20-22mph comfortably with about half to three quarters throttle.
Every 16 ft. V hull boat will list as the weight shifts around. Being a little wider doesn’t net that much more of a stable platform unless you have a very heavy motor for ballast. I run a 1 ft v aluminum that is rather heavy with a 30 Evinrude and see similar speed. These boats are economical and fun. When everybody was crying over $4 gas I was out fishing………

@@AAE-cg1ilyes your right but the pangas are already very narrow. It’s a lot more rocky in my opinion compared to other boats of this size.

What is the fuel economy like?
I don’t have a computer on it because it’s tiller. I have ran 6 miles off shore and fished all day. On 6 gallons.
Where did you end up buying yours from? I’ve been looking all over marketplace.
Actually got lucky and found this one on marketplace after looking for a year. If I were you and your desperate go look up Imesa and they have Pangas in Mexico for good deals. But you need to cross the border to get them for wholesale price.
Heck yeah man, thanks for the info. I’ve been watching your videos and I’ve been looking at the gheenoes too, kinda like what you had before. You like your Panga way better? Stable? Durable?
@@calebtierney8722 Panga all the way haha just more money and harder to find. Have you seen the video of me sinking the gheenoe lol. If your willing to do it and if I could do it again go to Mexico. A 16 is around 3-4K new and the 20 footers are around 6-8k for the hulls only. Pangas can pretty much do everything a gheenoe can but can go offshore. As well can run a 25ft boat with a 50-90hp outboard.
