I'm pretty sure you don't have to do a triangle. I'd be interested to see what the manual says. What.WILL help is that each unit has the cleanest, direct path to the next. Eg no microwave or baby monitor in the path of the 2 mesh units. These signals don't bend, they take the path of least direct resistance.
Nice video. While far range is good, it increases your attack surface... set aside power output to low, and see if medium is required. Why would someone attack YOUR WiFi? Rather ask, why would they not, and what would you do if your network was compromised?

Your right have a wi fi network with that range is asking for trouble if I do get hacked it would probably be a neighbour lol we’ve got a good area watch anything suspicious it’s reported on a group WhatsApp and practically there are cameras covering the whole estate.

Even with all that, it just takes a drone of SBC in a backpack / car, with a monitor-mode capable wireless card/adaptor and some nMap scripts, to find possible CVE's in your wireless equipment, or to try do a de-auth attack. I assume you have a IDS and IPS onsite ?
If your primary node is on the other side of the TV , and the router is behind the TV, then the Tv is going to degrade the wireless signal between the router and 1st mesh unit.
I’ll be relocating the router to the draw underneath the tv (my son messes with it and I’ve got a custom cooling setup in there as my Xbox lives there so no heat issues ) . Primary node is connected via cable to the router.

@@Hashim9063 yes you can its under Wi FI settings there is a option to Uncheck "unify 2.4 & 5 Ghz"

25/17Mbps is pleeenty to work with..plenty. you should be able to work and steam Netflix 1080p at the se.time with a decent router that uses QoS.

Never be confident that your WiFi / device won't get hacked. :) Always assume compromise.
