Excellent review. It covered any concerns I may have had about installing my new AX5400 system (bought before I became aware of you). Thank you. By the way my friend's brother is also called Eloy, I hadn't come across this name before him. Best regards from Spain.

So it is not a mesh? As the nodes all connect as a star to a primary node and not to the closest node in their range, right?

They are supposed to be able to be connected via ethernet cable (which I beleive is referred to as backhaul), I cannot find any instructions in the manual for this. Is this something you have got working? Very useful video, thankyou.

@@valleyandroidtv3351 Hi, yes i did. You have to connect them directly using ethernet cable, no switches or routers between nodes. However I also found that once a device connected it would not move to the closest node as it is supposed to happen on a mesh network. There are also a number of other features which you cannot access if you don't use the main node as your router. This made them useless to me and I returned them. I now have the Deco X60's which work a lot better, but I am having a few issues with signal strength, but I haven't determined whether this is environmental or an issue with the devices themselves.

Thank you, that is what I thought. Which makes them useless to me also. I have a 24 port switch that wires all my tvs, gaming systems and nodes. Good thing I found a set of Asus Rog GT6 for 200 bucks off. @@MrJono1999

I am thinking to buy tenda mx15 what was the problem when was on access point mode

@@dennistheodoropoulos4686 I cannot remember everything but one thing you don't have access to is guest mode when in access point mode. Personally I would not buy these or the Deco X60's, they have strength issues.

Will this work together with Tenda MW6 nodes?

Very strange and Tenda China has no solution! Anyway the app is not needed always. I have successfully setup the Tenda.
    Appreciate your reply

Does your Tenda Wifi app switch from the English language to Chinese?? It's happening to me and is very annoying!

Just in the process of sending this back, it’s utter crap, I’m currently using the old bt whole home discs and have virgin 500gb + coming in the old bt was delivering around 170gb down stairs, I thought I’d treat myself and get the house using more of the 500 available. I set up the Tenda and placed them in key positions all lights green then later I was using my iPad and it was barely opening web pages, did a speed check and at one point I was getting less than 1mb, just to make sure it wasn’t virgin I switched back to bt and instantly got back around 170gb.

@@percymonster1 I had similar issues. These larger units are more headache than the smaller ones. The solution is to go to the Tenda app and split the 2.4/5gHz into separate networks. When they’re joined the WiFi is super unreliable and sometimes just doesn’t work.
