For 265k … you could get a house maybe two, a Porsche , Ferrari pretty much anything better …theirs a reason why Aston Martin isn’t as profitable as other car brands . looks don’t don’t cut it when other car company’s do things way better
My neighbour's got an old vantage from the 1984, its green and he sometimes does the school run in it , its completely pampered and only used in the dry as he's spent thousands on it getting up to.spec.👍👍👍👍
Bro cars nowadays are making a comeback. See 1st gen impala then a 2006 impala, see a C1 corvette and then C4 or C5 ... design and quality dropped from 1960s to 2006 / 2010 ish to commercialization. Now they’re making a comeback, bro we have cars we thought could only be a concept, now are available on the market. Not only high end cars like DBS, Portofino, Panameras that are getting prettier, cheaper cars are also getting prettier. With the projection they are right now, I hope cars keep getting prettier and prettier to the future... bringing back the balance of design and quality of 1930s - 1960s
Beautiful car. Fantastic spec. Great sounds from the V12. Can’t get enough of that. I’d love to drive one, if I’m going to drop $300k on car, there are other great choices. Like you, I’m GLAD they built it. At the current rate, it won’t be long before we’re lamenting the passage of truly emotion inducing automobiles like this.
Aston please let me review this! We’re getting ONE I hear in Nashville, and dealer’s owner gets it. Its the end of an era, and I love what Aston created. Vantage holds a special place in my heart as my first exotic was an 09 Vantage 6 Speed Black on Chancellor Red, it was glorious.
Perfect Gumball car!! V12, fast, sound (Certainly when it's a straight pipe 😈) with enough room for luggage. I wasn't a big Vantage fan but I really like this one! I'm really curious what a good tuner/builder can do with a header, straight pipe and tune. It would be best of both worlds if the sound still be like a n/a V12 but maybe a higher pitch with some good headers while boosting the turbo's with a tune. Imagine it sounding more towards a SVJ with Gintani F1 exhaust with that beautiful high pitch and having the turbo's working a higher hp gain.
Interesting that you pointed out the Michelin’s. I was very surprised that a Ferrari Roma I had a chance to track a couple of weeks ago had Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tyres fitted. Quite impressive for what is a ‘soft’ Ferrari.
I feel like all the supercar-hype these days got to the head of Aston. For me personally, what made the original Vantage so great, was the fact that they put this huge V12 into the body of basically a DB7 with it´s straight-6. It was that formula of putting insane engines into small, unsuspecting Coupés that made Aston so special to me. I mean, look at the DBS, both Coupé and Volante are still to this day absolutely breathtaking looking cars! Especially the DBS Volante, imo there has not been a more perfect looking convertable period. But this is just so in your face looking, that it´s actually has to perfom to this look to meet the expectations it creates. But hey, with it´s limited production almost all of them will disappear in some billion dollar car collection anyway so 🤷♂
This is a sports car and an insane one at that...and since when does aston Martin have to meet your expectations lmaooo you will probably never be buying a car of this caliber
@@mrbillcollector WTF are you on about lol?!?! I literally answered with my personal opinion to the question they asked in the freakin title of this video. "Meet my expectations..." LMAO 😆 Apparently you think it´s normal to believe that absolutely everything has to resolve only around yourself like you do, so let me explain: No, i don´t think Aston should strictly only build cars that meet my taste, therefore i didn´t had any expectations for them to meet in the first place. Also nobody questioned the cars performance, it was only about the looks. JWW asked for our opinion and i answered, that´s about it. Relax a little, my man. 🤷♂
Mr JWW absolutely Incredible Review I think awesome that you got to Review the all new Aston Martin V12 Vantage and I think it looks and sounds absolutely incredible
Saddest part is when you realize that most the folks that can appreciate this machine wont ever own one, the ones able to own one will likely lose possession of the car sooner rather than later and the only survivors will be hidden away and may never see the road again.
Excellent review! I like this content from you. Glad you were honest. I prefer honest content to youtubers being nice artificially. Car looks phenominal though. Can't fault the looks
I love how monstrous this smaller AM looks, but with 690bhp, 555 torque and 1800kg. Why would I buy this when the new Corvette Z06 is 670bhp, 420 to torque and 1420kg? Yes I know the AM is more rare and there is some bespoke luxuries to it, but then again it has dated UI from Merc that puts a sore tooth in my mouth. And then the price of $346,000 USD I could buy three Z06's and still have $46k to waste at the strippers. I get it, this car is pure SEX, but I think I'd rather have a foursome with three 10's instead of just one.
Finally an honest Aston Martin review! Too bad folks did not call AM out on their terrible ride quality years ago! As the owner of a V12 Vantage Roadster, I can attest to the crap! ride quality! My Ferrari drives far more comfortably and will out handle the AM. The ride in the AM is brutally stiff! It is so stiff when you accelerate if you hit any road irregularity at all your foot can move up and down on the accelerator cable! You can even hear this in Jeremy Clarkson's famous video, beautifully filmed but you can hear the revs go up and down due to the stiff suspension! Why AM makes these cars so stiff is beyond me.....but journalists should have called them out on this years ago. Thank you JWW for pointing out the reality of this car. Now if this is a true track car, I'd like to see a skilled driver side by side the V8 (which is nearly as fast but much better balanced and lighter) vs. this V12 on a circuit timed.
Like so many Astons it is the prettiest thing on the road. I think the ticket is a well depreciated 5 year old Aston and a small mechanic shop that will buy parts without the Aston logo.
I see some porpoising issues there. 👀 Jokes aside. I love this last hoorah to the V12 Vantage. Can’t wait to see what they do with that GT3 that’s been spotted on the Nurburgring a couple of days ago
Damnit Aston you were already 95% there. The vantage already has a manual option so we know the pedal box is ready to go. Such a fail for a final sendoff to not have it with a manual v12 option.
They should probably take some notes and soften the suspension. Then whomever purchases this beaut should have a very exclusive and very special super GT.
For various reasons, which aren't important here, Aston gave me a Vantage for a weekend back in 1994. Stunning, brutal power, great fun. However, heading home Sunday night, after a fine cross-country jaunt, the seatbelt housing fell off, and the driver's reading light came on and refused to go off. Cue several miles of discomfort. This was a car valued at 178,500 pounds. I felt rather let down, actually. I know it was a different Aston era, but James' comments here brought back memories. Aston: don't try to do too much. You're good enough anyway.
Luxury and safety both add a ton of weight to a vehicle , even if this car had a full carbon chassis it would still be overweight compared to older cars .
Wow i haven’t seen a candy red aston in a long long time. It’s exactly what this model needed though!
Incredible looking car, has resemblance in places of the AM ONE 77 …… this low wide aggressive stance ….. Fantastic….
I honestly wouldn’t care how heavy it is, how stiff it is, or what else you could get for that money, just look at it 😍

A house for 265k? You couldn't buy a 1 bedroom condo for that (probably twice that) for anywhere near where I live.

that car is just stunning
i would be blessed to ever own one
Big difference between a v12 and a v12 twin turbo. Look at those doors when they are open! What an angle.
Cars these days are too perfect, this sounds like it has a lot of character.
Like the Aventador with the single clutch

A turbo v12 sounds horrible. However a NA v12 is pure music.
How is a NA better than a turbocharged ?
@@Make-Asylums-Great-Again Not horrible. But not as sonorous or as frenetic as an NA V12. There’s nothing better.
@@gavinthind3058 strictly from an exhaust sound perspective. A turbo acts as another muffler.
Awesome vid as always, great content.
That transition at 7:30 with the kurb was very nice 👌
the exteriors wow! the interiors DOH!
Aston Martin makes some of the most beautiful automotive artwork even with their imperfections.
Loving the new Aston. Especially in that paint 😍😍most of them are boring grey
That color is brilliant
amazing, big engine, little car, always a great formula, love it.

Great review! Given how closely you've worked with Aston I wasn't expecting this assessment! Says a lot for your car review integrity
Looks so much better than the V8 Vantage, which I don't fancy at all, but this is something else 😍
Great spec, looks awesome!
Love your honesty about the car. God it’s beautiful. I’d buy it just to look at it. Just enough Boy Racer to be noticed , but not over the top. Ted
love your work
What an insane vehicle 🔥🔥
It's a PROPER beast!!! The PROBLEM is you're THINKING of as a GT car, but it CLEARLY was NOT meant to BE that!!!
good save after the long critical voice. very very happy to see you staying impartial, knowing your super close connection to Aston. Bravo!
WOW that looks and sounds awesome!
Nice one at 4:45 ”fumbling around where your little lever might be” 😅
4000 lbs sounds heavy. 1800 kilograms? Whatever, it looks and sounds lovely!
Yeah, that thing was really bouncing down the track. More damping, 19” wheels, taller tire sidewalls would fix that.
bob the engineer
backyard bob setup dialed in

Aston has never been the same after the ONE 77
Nice review. Gave a good feel for the car.
always a fan of the v12 vanquish /v12 vantage

Aston Martin spawned the incredible Valkyrie .. just keep the epicness going I say! 😄💪🤟

The 2023 DBS is the one for me
I prefer the styling of the 2010
So where does this Vantage V12 fit in with the DBS Superleggera?
With all this appearance and power and carbon and lightweight package is still gt car
beautiful
it looks like something batman could drive
WoW!! So cool car. Beautiful color.😍
Cant believe they have not changed the infotainment screen yet. Looks like an infotainment screen from a 2010 Mercedes
I feel like the lights could've been more aggressive but its lovely otherwise
Awesomeeeeeee 💥
It's an Aston! It's still a beautiful car!
Amazing ride.
I would agree with you it should have a stiffer gt ride but not to stiff.
This has got to be the #2 Aston sports car of all time

I'd say fix your track from a B road to a decent track. Don't knock the fantastic car. Amazing car
It's the last one, they should given it a six speed manual gearbox option. Im sure it could have sold like hot cakes

Great looking car but Aston needs to step up their interior game ASAP!
Gorgeous
Which manufacturer builds this engine????
