      Well, the history of the V12 in the Aston flows from Ford's short time of ownership. I'm not sure it's really a point of pride for purists. Then again a Mercedes V8 isn't anything to sneeze at. I guess the video games had V12 Astons in them.

    • @RealityClubX
      @RealityClubX 13 дней назад +20

      New Vantage is not an upgrade in design. It just took from the DB12 and now there's less differentiating all their models apart from the rear. I'm so confused by the identical interior between the other models, and now the identical front between almost every model they make.

    I do appreciate that they stuck with a non hybrid. V12 to boot. I think this makes the car so much more desirable and collectible for years to come. We know how to maintained engines, we have been doing for over 100 years. Keeping a hybrid or electric car functional for 25+ years is still unknown territory. If the P1 is any indication of the future of those types of cars, it isn’t looking bright.(for those who don’t know if you own a McLaren P1 and have battery issues and need to replace they really are impossible to find since they moved on to producing Artura battery’s. Even before they were impossible to source they were like $400k American.)

    • @markmwala2886
      @markmwala2886 9 дней назад

      Your statement though True isn't entirely so, P1's still go for £1million + , same goes for Porsche 918 and even more so with the La Ferrari which is now between £3&4 million, the problem isn't about being a hybrid, it's about what kind of hybrid it is because I Assure you the Revuelto and Tourbilon will age and prive very well on the hyper car market because they still posses key characteristics that define the brand.

    I have never seen Aston nail a car in every possible way like they have done with this Vanquish. I always find a sticking point, either the lights, the interior, or something else but, on this one, everything looks perfect. A work of art on wheels with the non-hybridized V12 as a cherry on top. Well done, Aston!

    It's not ugly but it's not pretty either, about the touch with Ferrari, ASTON dreams of one day even reaching the smell of Ferrari!! I've worked in the area for almost 16 years, those who have driven and driven cars from both brands know very well that the AM doesn't even come close to what a Ferrari is in every sense!

      Ferrari may beat AM hands down in terms of driving but in terms of styling AM has been spanking Ferrari’s angular and overworked and never elegant, which was used to be a Ferrari hallmark. In fact, the only Ferrari to have a hint of elegance in recent years has been the Roma and that clearly looks a rip off from the Vantage

      What does “worked in the area” mean? People who “work in the area” are mechanics, salespeople, et cetera, who generally have little to no personal experience owning any of these cars.

    After Bugatti, Lambo, ferrari and bentley all announced head-scratchers, cars that were visually underwhelming or just plain....not great, Aston feels like they are the ones
    keeping me sane by showing cars that actually look good.
    Even the weird Muscle car valor/valiant stuff, clearly has value when you see how they use that DNA in the new Vanquish.
    Twin turbo V12 that looks great but not ridiculous/overdone, from every angle, well done.

    Man, what a seriously impressive machine !! 007 / James Bond would def approve & be tearing up the streets of London! That car in a nardo/crayon grey with orange break calipers, orange stitching on a black & carbon fiber combo interior would look absolutely insane! Or British racing green, yellow break calipers, light brown leather interior with green and yellow stitching combined, alloy/aluminum wheels. If they offer it a yellow pair of racing stripes off set from hood to trunk!

    LOVE that they’ve stuck to the V12! That sound evokes a passion in the brand that needs to be preserved. With Ferrari moving away from V12s, AM may quickly become the best V12 car maker left. Yes, the 812 and 12 Cylindri both have V12s, but not clean sheet V12s. This is a truly beautiful car. Perhaps a message to the rest of the car world that ICEs live on!!
