We always expect the next chapters about a year from the current time, no matter the current time. However, it has been 2 years since this comment was posted. Deltarune is still a demo.

I love how ruins is basically normal but by the end of peaceful rest basically everything gets completely broken
theres no way they added the punch card and didnt expect people do do this
if you're talking about Deltatraveler, adding the punch card was fully intentional. Fully, including wrong warping and overflows. All these skips are most likely unintentional, though they are mostly just Unity being Unity.
Even in this game the punch card still breaks everything
I was the one who made the deltatraveler discord aware of the clip glitch (with evidence). When I did it by complete accident, and took screenshots because I don't know how to record stuff on my PC. I did not discover it, but I did lead the people with the technical know-how to create some the speedrunning tech in this video, I am very happy.
I sincerely hope the photo guy shows up periodically throughout the rest of the game

explanation: making games is hard
Normally, when you use a screen transition in this game, the game loads in another room, then unloads the previous room. If you use a screen transition while entering a battle, however, the battle then becomes the room that gets unloaded, and the room that you just left will never actually unload; thus, more than one room will be loaded at the same time. This is referred to as "room duplication" (or "room duping" for short).
