We really take for granted the influence of being raised by a certain callibre of parents. ❤ Although late, my mom was very similar, activist, founder etc and the energy u pick up from such parents can carry you for decades. Well done on bringing your mom Dr Siz
Absolutely. My Mom has also been such an incredible source of inspiration, insight; vision and strength in my life. Very intelligent women; seasoned expert in medical research.
@@FredEllis-mh1hhbut you are here consuming his content. It's true that if you cannot beat them, you join them😂 myself and many are inspired by his hard work
Good Dr, when you brought your dad I felt honoured to listen, and yet again today being here with your mother feels like an absolute privilege. Thank you for welcoming us into your home. Your parents are beautiful people. And listening to them taught me a lot about our country. Keep up the great work #AyeYe
It just warmed my heart to see and experience the love, respect and mutual admiration between mother and son. I found myself smiling and often chuckling to myself. Mme Oakley-Smith, I take my virtual hat off to you for having raised one of the most polite, gentle, yet sharp-witted and erudite sons from our shores.
What an interesting conversation between mother and son, she define our problem to the T, you should invite her back Sizwe, we have alot to learn from her, Ayeye!
Thanks mama for bringing up the young man well, today we have hope to say, we still have future leaders amongst us.All the the best for you abuti,we appreciate your work Sizwe.
Your moms presence is majestic yet gentle ❤ she has that mama bear warmth, i feel at ease and protected. Thank you Mama for being the Mother of the Nation.
What a wonderful soul, I like how well versed she is on cultural sensitivity matters and how she eloquently and effortlessly articulates the nuances around this rather uncomfortable subject. What a gem! It's almost difficult to understand how the ANC got it so wrong with such outstanding stalwarts at their disposal. This Mbokodo is cut from a different cloth, I could listen to her speak for hours on end. Sizwe you are privileged to have been reared by such revolutionary and fearless parents!
I have tons of love for your mom Sizwe, I knew she was your mom probably 6 years ago. What I love about her, is understanding the black struggle. I love my mom a lot, I won't mind choosing as my mom, I can relate to her so much.
What an honor to share your mom with us. You are indeed privileged to be raised by such a caliber of a woman. Educated and well rounded. Thank you for gifting us with this interview as your. 🎉🙏
This interview with Terry was everything and more. I love hearing her speak about her work with corporate and schools on diversity and you can see that she’s so passionate about it. I wish you can have her back again ❤
My mother ran a farm school for black children for a group of farms 🚜 in the Modimolle area. For 6 years it was highly successful educating arround 75 children in prep for high school. All could read and write , fluent in English. These appointed farmers paid all expenses to uphold the standard. Problems arose when nearby black run government schools heard about the standard of success , other parents started demanding enterance and jealousy became transparent. Kids at the school were targetted for bullying and threats by parents . My mother was elderly and felt unsafe . She resigned and shortly the school closed. We all blame racism as its an easy out for tribal culture and low intelligence but we all see how our country has deteriated under the simple basis of our school and its demise. 😢 we tend to tell ourselves lies .
My mom was also at Barnato and she always speaks highly of your mom. Also congratulations on your LLB doc, hopefully we will graduate on the same day (I got 35/40 😜). I’m a fan and I’ve read your books, just so you know, I’ll be bringing my for autographs 😂
RDP, TRC, Vryburg, and many others were really missed opportunities. We actually dropped the ball many years ago. The current decline is not because of today's problems but years and years of endless disappointment. Current delivery failures are a cherry on top. Anyway, the level of respect there, calling your guest Mom is legendary ❤
HOORAY 🎉 to you DR SIZWE, THE QUEEN 👑 IS IN THE OFFICE. What a BEAUTIFUL BLESSED LADY 🌹 you have with you in studio DR MPOFU. May FATHER GOD continue to be with HER, MAKE HER VERY WELL, KEEP HER JOYFUL AND HUMBLE. WATHINTA ABAFAZI WATHINTA IMBOKODO 🇿🇦✌🏾
This is the most informative show for 2024, whether or not people like it.... dispassionate content is not popular. I wonder how charlatans like Mashele would fare in a debate with this beautiful soul?
I am big fan of this podcast and I hardly ever comment. However, this session stands out for me and I had to be thankful for the awesome work. @Sizwe, kudos to you, to Mom, many thanks for the gentle reminder that we still have a long way to go. My view is that this is a struggle of our time and we should foster socioeconomic equality and equity.
Thanks for this episode. I'm glad she revealed that in the early years of democracy corruption was there. the ANC has always been the same ignoring important factors that affect our society. Exiles came and dominated the space, a big mistake.
What a person with depth, insight, inspiration and objectivity. I had the feeling that I could listen to her for hours. Young man, you must regard yourself as privileged to have her as your mom. Thank you for bringing her to the show..."young lion"😊
Teresa noted with Disgust, that ramaphosa survived phalaphala when the ANC sings a renewal song...she noted that resignation should have been automatic for Rama in order to radiate seriousness on the renewal mission
This was such a good interview! Thank you for gracing the podcast Mama kaSizwe. I hope she can come back again and we get to hear more about her life and upbringing and introduction into the political space etc. P.S. this interview has made me understand and appreciate the good Dr even more. He was raised by such an intelligent and sober-minded woman. It just all makes sense how Dr Sizwe is the way he is.
I wish more comments would centre around the content rather than praising this first class podcast. Sans must start learning something substantial about their country affairs
Your Mom is absolutely on point (ofc)! Not only did we not hold perpetrators accountable, but we got former operatives of notorious SAP and SADF units openly bragging about their endeavours on various media outlets. In other countries there are laws that punish the glorification of past atrocious regimes, but in the case of SA this type of hate speech is fully tolerated!
Thank you so much Dr Sizwe for bringing mommy to the channel. This was very informative interview and we thank her for the work she done and still do❤ayeye 🎉🎉
l like such mothers like , Sizwe"s mother, intelligent Mama who was also involved in the politics of this country. Thank you Mama. and thank you Sizwe.I can say this lady brought up her son in a good dignified manner.I like really what I see here a mother explaining what was happening those days to her Son.
Yey to your Incredible Woman MUM dear Dr Sizwe MWX, indeed she brought out the best in you. Now your platform brings the best of politics/ politicians to the nation. Ayeye 🎉
I thoroughly enjoyed this interview with your mom and I completely agree, she deserves a national recognition of some kind. Seems like her work is very similar to what Dr Joy deGruy Leary is doing in the USA. I think the two of them should exchange notes (in a manner of speaking), if they are not already doing so.
I certainly agree ...with the Nuremberg phenomenon...Ms Smith ...history will not only judge us harshly but we will live from generation to generation with the vicious criminal conduct of the apartheid officials and the white polity ... Sizwe is a prized child of yours

Awesome, I started following you after the interview with Nkululeko.
Teresa expounded on the condescending culture of ANC leaders culminating in counterrevolutionary tendencies that prevail even today
This was just lovely! Sizwe’s mum is a giant, and you can see it in him. Reminds me of how I relate to my own!

Your mother is a Jewel, she fully understands the situation for what it is.
I would like to see your mother debating Helen Zille as they have vastly different views and are both white. I would pay to see that debate.
It’s quite common for members of one ethnicity to have vastly different views on various issues!
Hi Sizwe, well done on bringing another insightful episode.
Thank you so much Dr Sizwe❤❤❤
She's an angel, we appreciate her so much
