She is completely right, it’s simply unfortunate that for some reason there are those that think race determine values, a misconception only future generations will learn to transcend.
@@njabulomsweli5057 black people don’t like blacks, you yourself don’t like some black people - so why should anyone be bothered about Helen? This is the real world, all that matters is values and principles, if those align regardless of race then we get along, otherwise, i’ll be honest, I don’t like your type, your beliefs and values put on display on this public platform speak volumes about your character and no one, black, white or any colour your filter sees likes that.
Thina SIZWE, you are becoming a formidable force in the media space, umona phansi🙌. How did you get Helen Zille to be such a teletubby😆, almost harmless even🤭. Respect 👌
Busy debriefing my visceral response to Helen's atomization of a structural conflict by liimiting it to 'identity' only, in SA's unequal, transitional context. Wholesale transfer of American PR . She is not racist but completely in denial of a global invisible system that favors people of a particular identity. Clearly being a non racist and acting along racial lines is possible in one person. We just don't have to accept her power to define and limit the groundtruth that we experience. Every. Single. Day. MAKES MY BLOOD BOIL. I would rather drop dead than vote DA, the atomisers of our lived experiences. Kudos to you and your team @Sizwe, for helping this society to hold multiple truths in tension.
Your every single day lived experience (except if you live in Cape Town governed DA) is a product of self inflicted bad choices for the support of a corrupt and incompetent government over the past 30 years. You are now blaming others and external factors for your own bad choices based on your racist views. It's a pitty you do not rather take responsibility for your actions and look for ways to beter yourself and improve the situation.

But seeing and hearing her in such settings is refreshing and soesn indeed serve to humanize her and provide a different complexion of her in peoples minds, myself being one of those...Truly speaks to the power of media and credit to Sizwe on this phenomenal platform.
Congratulations Hlubi. One of the gem of this session is when you got Ms Zille to star gaze and tell us about the clash of the two visions in South Africa - in 2026 local elections and 2029 national elections. One vision - of democratic centralism of MKP and the EFF. Another vision, of an open society by the DA. Ms Zille says where the needle of political power falls shall depend on where factional pieces of a fructuring ANC shall fall along the spectrum of the two ideological polar positions. Ms Zille says the ANC doesn't know where it stands between these two great warring ideological forces. These forces are locked in an epic battle to amass to their respective sides the largest fractures of the ANC. The DA wants to preserve the GNU because it wants to govern South Africa with the neoliberal faction of the ANC - whose spiritual head is Ms Zille. MKP/EFF forces, on the other hand, lay claim to the national democratic revolutionary fructures of ANC by right of the struggle against class, race and gender oppression, exploitation and separation - the ANC yiNdlu ka Gogo (it's our Grandma's House) to which all of us belong, says former President Zuma. Very instructive podcast indeed, Hlubi.
I like the way you dramatize the synopsis...I imagined it playing out in the form of Dragon Ball Z type cartoon characters with a voice narrating in the background....😁😁😁
I have to admit that this particular interview adds to my perception about Hellen Zille as a person......as a person I believe she is extremely intelligent....very brilliant of coz I dont agree with her politics.....and choice of words in politics.....but still I believe if you compare her with Fikile Mbalula....they You'd Agree that the ANC should be embarrassed to have him as an SG.....let alone a former minister of anything..
What about her politics do you not agree with? I would be very interested to know! The DA believes in the rights enshrined in our Constitution, including the rights of individuals and the Rule of Law. The DA also believes in a Social Market Economy, with the freedom to be able to create as many jobs as possible without excessive State interference, but with a social safety net for the most vulnerable members of our society. The DA recognises the inequalities in SA arising from the legacies of Apartheid and many years of mismanagement of our economy during our democracy. The DA has a Redress Policy ( Economic Justice Policy) which is aimed at levelling the playing field by alleviating poverty directly at its source ( eg shanty towns) instead of using race - based policies like BEE. In all the years of its implementation, BEE has only favored the already wealthy black elite, who benefit simply by being black and also because they are so well connected! It is possible to measure poverty scientifically ( like the rest of the world does), taking into account many different factors, including education and income levels. In this way, all poor people in SA will benefit! See - DA delivers for the poor and vulnerable, BusinessDay.
Sizwe you should have asked her about her views on redress and land redistribution in South Africa. Because she wants to sound like a reformer, yet she is a hardcover neo-conservative at heart.
The DA has a Redress Policy ( Economic Justice Policy) that recognises the inequalities in SA today, and which is targeted at alleviating poverty DIRECTLY at its source ( eg shanty towns) instead of using race based policies like BEE. BEE favours the already wealthy black elite who qualify simply because they are black and also because they are so well connected!! Poverty can be scientifically measured based on many factors, including income levels. In this way, all poor South Africans can benefit!
Do you know that the most successful land reform in SA is currently happening in the Western Cape? Beneficiaries are given Title Deeds ( real ownership) as well as mentorship and physical and financial support so that they can succeed!!
What nonsense! The DA genuinely cares about South Africa and her people!! The DA has a 15 year track record of honest ( Clean Audits) and very capable Governments that deliver for ALL South Africans, especially the poor!! See - DA delivers for the poor and vulnerable, BusinessDay. See - Impressive new school in the Western Cape , RUclips. This is a beautiful new Kasi school in Lwandle in Cape Town!
If you are comfortable with the way society is structured then yes. She's clear in her politics which I appreciate but unfortunately nothing will ever change. We had racial laws for centuries which has placed the country in the position it's in today but we now need to have non racialism, how do you address the injustices of the past? You need to be intentional about assisting the marginalised in society which were hard done by a system for centuries
@@NJ728great question!, How to address the injustices of the past?? Do you punish present citizens, to pay for past citizens? This was answered by the American Civil War and it is our constitution. You do not punish present citizens. From this moment, all are equal and all are given opportunity. Sadly the policies of the Comrades are making black people poorer, for very logical economic reasons.
@sarahdlp524 well ignoring the past and pretending as if nothing happened isn't going fix anything either. There were deliberate efforts in the past set in place to disenfranchise a portion of the population that mess is unfortunately not going to fix itself. Where was the outrage when they were stripped of everything? But when the word redress is mentioned, that when people want to go up in arms

This was not the point of the podcast... ruclips.net/video/hrdKVXMvUcQ/видео.html
Totally agree with you.
Truth hurts, Helen Zille is right about what's going on in this country people will wake up late 😢
Taking her side as black people, we can definitely rue that😂😂😂😂.
She is completely right, it’s simply unfortunate that for some reason there are those that think race determine values, a misconception only future generations will learn to transcend.
Listen here Helen will never like blacks wether y'all like it or not
Please stop being silly and pay attention. Wake up.
@@njabulomsweli5057 black people don’t like blacks, you yourself don’t like some black people - so why should anyone be bothered about Helen? You speak as though there’s some obligation for one person to like another.
Respect 👌
That's almost racist!
@@perr4724 How so?
🤣

To me it's a little bit Obama about Zille and Trump about Zuma! Agree anyone?
Thank you for those last two topic answer, Helen Zille answered in such a simple yet informative way.
Sikhulu lesi singisi, ngikuzwe nje ekugcinen uthi ubavotele ungamane
Your every single day lived experience (except if you live in Cape Town governed DA) is a product of self inflicted bad choices for the support of a corrupt and incompetent government over the past 30 years. You are now blaming others and external factors for your own bad choices based on your racist views. It's a pitty you do not rather take responsibility for your actions and look for ways to beter yourself and improve the situation.
@@pierrejoubert7195 Peace to you sir. Pity you trade on insults and assumptions rather than research based knowledge.

I couldn't say it better, same goes to me. I will never in my life vote DA again.
1h very well spent! Like her or not, she shared some valuable insights about her life and her thoughts of Mzansi going forward... Sizwe, thank you as well!
Love ❤️ ❤❤Helen
Straight talk upright strong personality, South African's will only move forward when they see beyond race and color, love the podcast, Helen is very interesting, intelligent and a morally strong woman, a woman of note.,loving and caring, big up to her.
I like the fact that your show kinda like humanize the politians.... although Helen Zille is not my cup of tea but it's always good to see the other side of people, I said it the show is becoming bigger thank you Sizwe.
100% agree... I once met mrs Zille in Stellenbosch and the experience although not bad, left much to be desired of her personability in my view. It, however naively and uninformed, solidified in my mind that she was a horrible person - may have been a bad day for her or myself. But seeing and hearing her in such settings is refreshing and soesn indeed serve to humanize her and provide a different complexion of her in peoples minds, myself being one of those...Truly speaks to the power of media and credit to Sizwe on this phenomenal platform.
Do you know that HZ exposed the truth behind the death of Steve Biko while he was being held in detention ?
@@tspen4128 It's a good show indeed, we commend this brother for the quality of work He's putting behind this
Shu! Im impressed with Dr Mpofu-Welsh’s ability to keep composure 😂… because Helen was dropping tea!😩😂
Can't help but fall in love with the gogo.
My favourite politician
We were taught to hate her. She is an amazing person.
Who taught you? Now you are being taught to love her? Are you that gullible, a reed shaken with the wind?
How? She once said we should be grateful for colonisation.
that is what racists do,...they teach their kids to be racist. hatred functions well by recruiting others.
@@khaltsharivist365 media taught us. We are getting to know her for who she really is.
Excellent and also interesting arguments and interview itself!! Nicely done ... appreciated!
I have to admit that this particular interview adds to my perception about Hellen Zille as a person......as a person I believe she is extremely intelligent....very brilliant
of coz I dont agree with her politics.....and choice of words in politics.....but still I believe if you compare her with Fikile Mbalula....they You'd Agree that the ANC should be embarrassed to have him as an SG.....let alone a former minister of anything..

True TV in our era - Merci Boucoup Monsieur! A brave interview breaking the audience stereotypes!
The more we know about Biko - the better- too many were kept quiet!
The boss lady in house indeed 😊
“The ANC doesn’t know where it stands “ says Granny. Thanks Dr. Sizwe
I love this woman with all my heart and I believe that this country needs her way more than the voters ever realize .
Jezebel of Politics
What nonsense! The DA genuinely cares about South Africa and her people!!
The DA has a 15 year track record of honest ( Clean Audits) and very capable Governments that deliver for ALL South Africans, especially the poor!!

We love Gogo Helen 😊
