The “come a little closer” as was intentional, seeing as it’s funeral service. Also, the severed foot thing is actually because those feet were attached to people who drowned, but their shoes protected their feet from getting eaten by fish like the rest of the body. Still morbid, but at least it’s not a murderer with a penchant for foot removal
That actually makes perfect sense. It always seemed like such a weird thing to come onto shore. Fascinating.

Come a little closer; 3:09
Severed feet; 3:31 (end of video)
Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was determined they all died by suicide jumping off a bridge into a ravine up river from the coast. The human foot is pretty loosely attached to the body, so as the soft tissues get eaten and/or decay, feet easily become detached. The running shoes they were wearing float, causing the feet to get swept away from the body and onto shore. Pretty gross stuff lol.
I don't know how nobody in the process of putting up a sign saying "come a little closer" on the other side of subway tracks took a look at it and said "yeah maybe not" lol
It was put there intentionally. It’s dark humor because, if you look at the fine print, you can see that it’s an ad for funeral services.
Him’skekjdjd
there was a PSP ad in subway stations right next to the tracks saying: take a running jump here
Yeah that one obviously is intentional, otherwise it wouldn't even make sense. Therefor I don't think it fits in "bad placement" when that's one of the few places it can be placed.
Its a funeral home ad
Perfect example of it I had: an article describing a gruesome death of a 6 years old boy torn to shreds by a farm feeding machine. Slotted perfectly in the middle of the article was... an ad for minced meat on sale at the local supermarkets.... 😬😬😬😬😬
Yo...
They did not… 😀

this is like organic, raw, grass-fed comedy. nobody wrote the jokes, they just accidentally happened and we found them and shared them. I love this type of humour
So it's randomly generated humor, just like VeggieTales predicted.

The "Come a little closer" in the subway was actually intentional and an ad for a funeral home. (their details are in smaller print on the ad)
While it was intended as nothing but dark humor, it was quickly removed after protests from suicide prevention advocates.
Oh, I didn’t get the joke until now. That’s definitely creepy!

Several years ago there was a head of a federal state in germany called Erwin Teufel (a somewhat unfortunate name since Teufel is german for devil). It’s likely due to algorithms on websites most of the time. It sees a key word and says “HEY, this would make a GREAT place to put an ad for a third party phone charger” not realizing “charged” and “cord” are the found key words because it’s an article on a man ‘charged’ with murder for strangling someone else with an extension ‘cord.’
While watching a TV programme protesting against slave workers in the Middle East, Amazon Prime gave me an ad for Qatar Airways and how great it is in Qatar...

@@userlog2474 Horror comedy

the "come a little closer" one in a train is definitely intentional, since it's an ad for a funeral service
I saw a billboard ad for a cemetery that said something like, “Drive carefully! We don’t want to see you yet!”
This reminded me of someone on twitter who made a paper hat out of newspaper for their child and later noticed all the terrible news, like "Man admits to beating cat to death in fit of rage"
I love animals and children, but that is so horrendous that it made me laugh when I realized 😂
I suspect at least some of these were caused by algorithms targeting articles with certain words in the title for their ads but because it's a machine it completely missed the context in which said words was used.
I once saw an ad with Garfield on a billboard but it was smiling down at a graveyard, holding a thumbs up
Sounds like they're his victims.

I saw an article a few days ago about a couple who came home to see a stray dog outside their front gate. Skipping the long details, they eventually adopted it. And one of the ads on the article was about dog breeds you should never adopt
Damn that's rough.
Those ad algorithms are having the time of their lives. We better keep them entertained before they rebel
Sometimes, I get an odd... strange... feeling that some bad ad placements are perhaps somewhat intentional.
In a way, some of them KIND of are… Sometimes Internet ads get placed in certain articles due to key words in the articles (by an algorithm without regard for context). E.g., if a restaurant chain wants to sell lobster rolls, websites might automatically put the ad by any article with the word “lobster” in it.
0:31 Larry knew damn well what he was doing when he placed this ad
I lived in that town. Not sure about Larry himself, he's pretty chill, but since most of the workers there are college students, probably intentional.

A moment of silence for the kid that bought that cucumber/pickle (I never learned the difference) for their mother cause of that ad
I think that a "pickle" is just a cucumber that's been in a jar with vinegar for some time..

For some reason the one at 1:31 gives me so much nostalgia for those old ads that would sometimes warp the whole page. I remember back in like 2010 I saw this State Farm ad with a car on it that when you click a little repeat symbol on the bottom right of the ad some giant guy would pop out of the middle of the page, grab the car from the ad, crush and drop it, then go back into the page. Ad algorithms try to put ads on content related to them, based on similar keywords.
