Am I the only one to think that sharp and elongated headstocks do not fit with singlecut bodies?
The built-in noise gate is what every high-gain amp needs. Great feature.

I prefer reverse headstocks on pretty much all my guitars but I'll admit on single cuts,
it doesn't look the best

I keep coming back and watching this video because the ENGL rips!! It's got this growl to it,sounds ferocious🤘I love different amps and this is definitely one of my favorites!

@@incitatus634 i don't think they changed much about the tone, the savage is already one of the best sounding amps in the world. But they finally brought the savage platform up to the functionality standards set by the SE and invader. Midi, dual fx loop, noise gate, stuff like that. Now you don't have to choose between savage sound and invader features

In 2009 or 2010, after a talk with you, i've buyed Savage 120 KT88, it was one of the best buys i've ever made. Even now, when my main horse is a Axe II, i really want this Mark Two.

Sounds really, really good and surprisingly versatile for a high gain amp. It doesn't just offer ONE nice gain sound to go to. The crunch channels sound amazing, too.
My favorite Amp you demonstrated so far... It's nice that the noise gate doesn't kill your tone even when you do solos....
Reji Holdsworth check out isp technologies. I have an engl and I think they somehow are related. Maybe isp does their noise gate? I can’t remember.
I really hope you release a 7 or 8 string demo with this amp. I bought the ENGL Savage 120 years ago because of your videos. Looking forward to seeing more!

Can you do a Duncan Distortion vs Custom 5 comparison? Maybe we can understand why you prefer the alnico if you do it up close and personal!

Search "Seymour Duncan 6-String Bridge Pickups 2015, 15 Model Comparison, Metal Rhythm" by Keith Merrow. The best buyer's guide there is to Duncan pickups.

@@stanislavmigra nice! I bought Invader, then Pegasus and Nazgul. Pegasus I sold and Nazgul is at storage waiting for a proper guitar. Invader is still in heavy use.
They're all good it depends of the type of guitar you use....
I can clearly tell you 100% love this amp! you got so into jamming you just start playing whatever you want its awesome! sometimes you gotta feel the groove and not just shred!

I have to say... that clean channel is amazing. I mean the gain channels are maybe the best metal tone I’ve ever heard, but the clean channel is just perfect. I imagine it would be epic as a pedal platform.

Yeah. He should have done an open book style headstock with the logo in the middle or something.
My guess is that is for him, and won't be on the production model, since it's the Ola Englund logo and not the Solar logo. [Unless it's on the Artist series]

@@jimcamp2423 I've had a Satan and a multiple Engls, including a first series Savage. The Satan is like a better, more versatile 6505 to my ears. The Savage is just on another level again, it's so tight and has such an awesome feel. Favourite amp i've ever had.

I've been on the market for a regular Savage for months, they just don't show up very often, and honestly, I've been hoping they'd release an updated version. Alas here we are and I couldn't be happier to see it get approval by Ola! Can't wait to get my hands on one.

Oh man, if that single cut got a split headstock I would buy one so fast. It just doesn't quite look right to my eyes with the reverse headstock on it. Simple and beautiful otherwise though!

I believe he would say something like the randall is his amp, influenced by all the studf he played befor and a big part of randal/fortin amps. The ENGL is a good part of Olas history. They are booth good. But it will dependa on the budget you habe, rather then the tone you finaly get.

To be honest this is definitely one of the best amps you've ever demo'd. You didn't even need an overdrive. IMHO I think this and the Rev Generator 120 are the tightest/heaviest high gain heads ever. The look on his face says it all.

I just finished watching about 10 different Engl Savage demonstrations on RUclips, and nearly decided it wasn't really for me, and kind of weird sounding. I watch Ola's demo, and I'm ready to head out the door and buy it NOW!!!
That's the most brutal amp I've ever heard. Best metal amp of all time!
But what does it sound like boosted in front of the amp? If you still have the Precision Drive, that would be interesting, to see how the amp responds to the ATTACK knob.
