Screams elegance and luxury and follows through on both. The floors in the room are amazing! That sumptuous breakfast though my goodness how regal! The wardrobe could fit an extra guest in it alone. "l could live here" are the best 4 words to sum up such a luxurious stay👍
Nice review! I went to Hanoi in October and got upgraded to a Grand Premier Opera room as well. I was in Room 585, it was a straight up room non angled. If you have a birthday while staying there, they give you this really nice card that pops up to show the hotel facade. It's really cool.
My favorite hotel in a wonderful city. We usually (well not very often) stay at a more modest hotel and splurge at the end on the Metropole. Worth every dong. Love the classic rooms.
I’ve been subscribed and follow your channel since day 1 as I love the content which quite similar to The Luxury Travel Expert channel with quality and comments in video. Me and my family were spending our holiday in Metropole last couple weeks. Love this iconic hotel mate even though we’re local Hanoian. Would love to see more video from you and thank you so much for promoting tourism in Vietnam. Cheers. P/s: I’m sharing your channel on my FB too :)
Thanks for the support! And yes sometimes all you need is a good staycation. I’ve lived in Saigon for years and sometimes head to the Nikko or Park Hyatt (without a camera haha) for the same reason! :)
@@tfft nice mate, Nikko Saigon is right next to our company HQ, we love to have our year end party here for few years now. Looking forward to watch your new videos on hotels and resorts in Vietnam. Much appreciated mate :)
I love the rain in Vietnam. After moving to the States for college, I decided to get a job and settle down. In San Diego, I missed the tropical downpour and the associated thunder storm...
Beautifully filmed. The hotel must reward you about this wonderful free publicity for them. I stayed in the Metropole Wing once a few years ago and absolutely loved the ambiance.
Such a great review. I totally agree what you mentioned about their service. Almost everyone I met in Metropole delivered genuine excellent service. Truly phenomenal.
How is this channel not so much bigger? Your reviews and videos are so professionally done? One suggestion would be to maybe shorten the videos or you could have a short and extensive version. Cheers.
Thanks very much for the kind words. We’re just a year old and had a sizable chunk in the middle without posting due to lockdowns last summer in VN- given that, we’re happy with the progress ☺️ For video length, it ultimately comes down to the property itself but you can see in the more recent videos they are a bit shorter- hotels in the 9-14 minute range and largest resorts 15-25 minutes. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
Thanks for posting this! Im also considering using my amex benefits to book this hotel - just wondering if you got a two category upgrade or one category? Also, was the club lounge available during your stay?
Mine was technically a one category upgrade, but within the upper category mine was a premium layout of the room. As for the Club, it was closed during my visit. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
The Capella is beautiful but kinda hard to compare the two. One is a bedrock of Franco-Viet history and the other is a brand new fantasy of Bill Bensley...
Simply the best hotel experience I’ve had anywhere in the world - the staff are all so good at what they do.
Thanks for sharing ✈️

One of my all time favorites! Thanks for watching 🙏🏻

Yes I understand what you mean. Here in Saigon we just got our first (quick) rain of the season two days ago. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
I agree! I love the rain too, especially tropical rain. And I love Vietnam too!
Beautifully filmed. The hotel must reward you about this wonderful free publicity for them. I stayed in the Metropole Wing once a few years ago and absolutely loved the ambiance.

Yes, a very natural service experience- unlike too many places in Vietnam where, when the service is good, it’s also quite formal and scripted.
Great review and beautiful Asian city hotel with colonial roots. Would love to visit one day, and I think I could move in too !
Man, I love this hotel.
Same here!
The best hotel i have ever stayed. Their club lounge is just awesome
Thanks for watching 🙏🏻

Probably the best hotel anywhere in the world I've ever stayed in.
It is certainly a special place. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
I wish I could stay at this hotel TONIGHT! Looks fabulous.
Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
It’s just an emphatic YES ..🙏
Thanks for watching 🩴
A balcony would just round things off perfectly. The music was delightful
Thanks very much 🙏🏻

Are the items in the mini bar chargeable?
Most of them, yes. Thanks for watching 🩴
If breakfast is included in our booking, can we request breakfast be delivered to our room as part of the service? Thanks
My was available as room service specifically becuase of AMEX- I'm not sure if avaialble for all bookings. They told me at check in.
Where do the JW and Intercontinental Westlake sit on your rankings for the city? I know the JW is far out of the way, but it is a lovely property
I think they're both far out of the way lol- haven't stayed at either of them for that reason.
the Capella hotel next door absolutely blows this out of the water.
