ALL HAIL THE HONDA CIVIC AND THE RAT QUEEN
HAIL THE HONDA CIVIC AND THE RAT QUEEN
HAIL THE RAT CIVIC AND THE HONDA QUEEN
I can’t even decide, should she get a model with power armor so we can see her little pointy eared head pop out the middle or just have a chaos rat god mode
@kylecoultas1669 why not both?
Y'all are F*CKING HERETICKS!!!
I think Bricky missed it, but the Mechanicus actually do worship the Emperor to some degree, as after they saw him rebuild a machine with just a touch, they thought he was the physical manifestation of the Omnissiah. Basically, they worship him as Toaster Jesus.
It’s actually that the Emperor is the Omnissiah. The Omnissiah is the flesh avatar of the Machine God, who they believe is the Emperor.
its on his other videos that goes way deeper. not in this.
No they dont worship the emperor. He is the Messiah to them not the god.
I do like Bricky and his podcast, but he really does zoom through a lot of surface-level stuff, sometime incorrectly. Basically, he and his are great to start with, but don't take what they say as absolute fact.
@@YOGI-kb9tg they do though because to them he is the Omnissiah who is the physical Avatar of the Machine God. Thats why they say "Praise the Omnissiah". Go look it up.
We take the piss out of the Mechanicus but who hasn't started praying the instant your computer starts making a funny noise
Who among us has not touched the rune of activation and whispered a placating supplication to the machine's spirit, "Please, please work. I need you to do this for me."
@@MrFelbloodCan confirm. The machine spirit of my work truck is either fickle... or just spiteful.
@@rayanderson5797You haven't used enough blessed oils
There is also another subfaction that I love in the Mechanicus. The Genetors, the highest rank of which is the Magos Biologis. Basically they see the human body as another machine, the oldest and most adaptable machine. One of self repair and consistant improvement. They seek to much like the emperor with his Primarchs and his Space Marines, improve and elevate man.
Also they study aliens to figure out weaknesses the imperium can exploit.
Based hyperhuman biologis vs cringe transhuman dominus
oh yeah, Genetor is totally my jam. I like machinery, but in the end the body is naught but an incredibly complex and adaptive machine.
oh shit that's rad, what cool guys
@@tau-5794
What about Nanomachines? They’re barely visible.
oh no.. dont say that. that will launch ptsd. they tried and trillions died.@@requiemlul3140
That cliffhanger was almost perfect. If only she'd waited till the "Oh lord he commin" clip finished.
She keeps doing that, or talking over important parts. 😩
I enjoyed her reactions of this. Looking forward for the next ones.
1:50 The Machine Cult is in a weird place, for two reasons. The Emperor conquered them back when he was still walking around doing things for himself, and they signed a treaty swearing fealty to him, so it's awkward for anyone claiming to represent the E man to break a treaty that he signed with his own hands without a really good excuse. Conversely, the Machine Cult leadership acknowledged The Emperor, especially in his Golden Throne form, as a living avatar of the Omnissiah, so opposing the big man himself is off the table, even if they fight with some of his followers.
The Cult does recognize several other avatars of the Omnissiah though, which gets the Ecclesiarchy pretty pissy.
Also they might accidentally be worshipping the void dragon.
They signed said treaty due to his immense power. The Mechanicus believed him to be the embodiment of the Omnissiah, Big E figured going to war with them would be a waste and played the part as the center of their cult, a necessary evil if you will. The Omnissiah however is indeed heavily insinuated to be a massive shard the Void Dragon that was locked away under Mars (Void Dragon being one of the named Necron C'tan)
Also its funny that there are stories with a Space Marine or Inquisitor that pisses off a Tech-Adept and they just deny them equipment by just drowning them in paperwork and other B.S out of spite
and here he didnt say or told about dark mechanicus or the heretic side that had mars for while. where "good ones" lost.
I was about to join the discord and dump all of this. As a brief overview, Bricky does great. But the gaps leave a lot of information on the table.
@@thewolfpack7718 In his defense this was his first 40k video, and was long before Adeptus Ridiculous. Not to mention he did say PLAYABLE factions, thought not even mentioning that there is the Dark Mechanicus...
Just a fun fact for you, but the most famous and holy leader of the Sisters of Battle... was also named Alicia. Alicia Dominica to be precise.
She's also only 1 of 6 living sister's to have ever seen the Emperor, the other 5 being her bodyguards/command retinue.
Well she's a bit dead now. Or hasn't been born yet? Anyways yeah all that happened around M34, about 6,000 years before the current point in the setting.
"can I get a replacement for my uterus?" Canonically? Yes! In several different flavors! That is both is and is not a metaphor. Also you can just grow your baby in giant skull covered glass tank full of blood. The skulls and blood aren't NEEDED, but they will be there anyway.
The best part about the mechanicus is in one of the games you get a skill called "technical knock" it is described as the sacred right of smashing the tech against a hard surface to get it to work XD
Better known as the rite of concussive maintenance
Aka Soviet grade repair
The litanies of maintenance contain many rites for appeasing or taming the errant machine spirit. Tho the rite of percussive maintenance is rarely used, with the rite of turning it off and back on again, being by far the most important to any aspiring enginseer.
@@MrLuzakman *everybody* grade repair. If it doesn't work after you hit it, hit it harder.
@@IONATVS I suspect it is about choosing the correct rite for the spirit of the machine, anything mechanical a good bash and anything electronic turn it off and on again.
Addendum for the Grey Knights and why theyre so OP: It was mentioned in the first part on the space marines that each Legion carries the geneseed of their Primarch father. These Geneseeds give them the powers, abilities, and traits that were associated with their Primarch. Its essentially their DNA that overrides someone's normal human DNA. The Geneseed used by the Grey Knights comes directly from the Emperor. Other than the Primarchs who are the Emperors biological(test tube) sons, the Grey Knights are the closest beings to him.
The Custodes are definitely closer on a physical level, since they are also test-tube babies by his design.
The Primarchs are obviously the closest though.
@Maxisamo1 I think Custodes are just different since they're tailor-made.
@2ndlegend125 Heightwise, they're the closest to the Emperor outside the Primarchs.
They're also hyper-intelligent and functionally immortal, like Big-E.
Even Space Marines expire eventually and can age (though it takes so long that we've really only seen evidence of it through the Iron Warriors fighting the H'Rud)
@Maxisamo1 I understand what you're saying but I think that the Emperor is almost defined by his psychic might. So the closest beings to him would be the ones who semi-inherited his psychic power rather than the ones who can physically compete with him.
Yeah, grey knights are space marines with the emperor as their direct gene-father, are all psykers, have access to better equipment than most space marines, and go thru a bunch of extra training/selection steps to ensure they are incorruptible, but they’re still fundamentally space marines, made from regular humans on a surgical table. the custodes are all custom-crafted masterworks of genetic engineering, with the original 10,000 designed with direct, personal oversight by the emperor himself. the grey knights are the most OP space marines, but the custodes are all basically mini-primarchs, and in (non-psychic) forms of battle make most space marines look like complete chumps. The grey knights are probably the only space marines that could give them a difficult fight without an OVERWHELMING numbers advantage, but I’d still set the odds in favor of the custodes with an equal number of combatants.
And for psionic combat like the grey knights specialize in-the one area the grey knights have a clear advantage over the custodes-custodes can call upon their best friends, the sisters of silence, to make any psykers cry. Can’t rip out someone’s soul if you can’t find it, and hard to focus on channeling the warp while your mind is screaming that the sword-weilding women rushing you *SHOULD NOT BE*.
The Sisters of Battle are fantastic and to me, they really exemplify the 'Jack of All Trades' thing. They're not space marines - they have a fraction of the training and equipment, but they can perform comparably in a lot of roles while also being a fraction of the investment. They're not the Imperial Guard - they don't have anything remotely close to the Guard's numbers, but their infantry is far, far superior. They don't have access to psychic abilities - but their Acts of Faith amount to pretty much the same thing. And my God, their style and lore are just so damn cool.
Ultramarines fan/player here, got my shit rolled enough times in 9th to confirm this.
And yeah, the sisters are just cool.
TBH Sisters gear is of a quality and quantity as SM stuff, it's just having to interface with 'normal' humans, and they really don't pull off the 'jack of all trades' thing as well as SM do, since they're so focused on the Holy Trinity of weapons (bolter, flamer, and melta) so they're much shorter range. The rest of your statement I do agree with.
And if you run the numbers, there are a good ~200 million of them. That's a lot of heavy infantry. We really need to see them stuck in next to the Imperial Guard more often.
My fellow High Lords, it is imperative for the continued defense of the Imperium, that the Sisters have bare feet.
@@Nabekukka Hard to run around on death worlds or irradiated wastes, or to void-seal your sabbat-pattern sororitas power armour.
So, nah.
8:25 YES, actually yes.
The Emperor Protects.
The Omnissiah Provides.
Honestly my two favorite human factions are the Sisters of Battle and the Mechanicus. They're not quite as absurd in the same way as the space marines regular, but they still have that angle that gives them a thematic edge over the imperial guard for me. They're all still neat, though.
Mechanicus is pretty absurd to me. Bros literally worships laptops to make them work.
Those are my sentiments exactly.
@@Despotic_Waffleyou're one of those computer abusers who punches his computer aren't you...jerks like you are why Skynet wants to kill us.
My favorite factions from a lore perspective are the Mechanicus and the Inquisition but since the Inquisition has very little presence on the tabletop that leaves the Mechanicus as my faction of choice when playing.
I love the imperium of man armies. If space marines are the poster boys then armies like the inquisition, sisters are the secret police that you don't want to see on your doorstep. The darker underbelly of the imperium that will do the dirty work that space marines are too afraid to do. Lol
Imagine dying by a church being dropped on ya...
Irony.
I’ve seen ALOT of people react to Bricky’s Warhammer videos but you’re reactions to it is easily one of the best
Yeah the warhammer reactions have been great to see. But seeing her like slaanesh, I’m unfortunately waiting for the “big oof” ball to drop in part 3 with the dark eldar.
@@bullstrode5875 oh, I imagine she’d gonna pause the video for at least a couple minutes so her brain can process what she just heard
@@ryanwight9116 Yeah which is fair, i just know there was another vtuber reacting to chaos and was into slaanesh and the eldar. Then the big oof dropped with he dark eldar and boy was there some major back pedaling and copium takes. Which is fair, but i guess this is about as lite as can be on a general rundown for warhammer factions. But sitll looking forward to CHAOS!
I never thought this would happen, but I was counting hours till Alicia's next upload of wh40k lore reactions.
I really hope she ends up reacting to Bruva Alfabusa's "If the emperor had a text to speech device"
that series was so good.
gives me the same feelings when i watch the hellsing abridged, i miss the text to speech
Did you know that back in Victorian times, cancer was once considered very treatable? This was due to the fact that they really could only diagnose surface level tumours, very treatable kinds of issues. That the patient might go on to die of secondary tumours they didn't diagnose just didn't factor in.
It begins she has to watch either “Helsreach” or “TTS” next
Adeptus Mechanicus being able to make machines work through prayer and ritual makes more sense when you actually see what their rituals look like.
Turn these screws while singing hymns of metallic strength. Solder this holy circuit in the sacred pattern. Fill this crevice (tank) with the purified fuel (gas).
Mechanicus basically found the manual for an engine in another language, and thought simple instructions were esoteric holy rituals, and they no longer have the manuals, so now they have no idea HOW or WHY these machines work... just that these rituals are working and you don't question it.
Moral of the omnisience thing, i think it´s very relatable and reasonable, having your engine die once when you need to get somewhere FAST.
Bro usually I get super triggered by Pausing Andys, but It's so cute how easily she gets excited over this stuff. And when she said.all the stuff about the Adeptus Mechanicus being heretics just for Bricky to be like "yes Buuuuut" had me rolling 😂❤
thank you for accepting my pausing andy ways. It's who I am haha
@@aliciaxdeathI like the pausing and stories

My local GW down here in Australia is notorious for having some of the best painters in the country, the guy who runs the place is a maestro, and is always happy to give advice and suggestions. There's one guy who attends a tournament every year, not to win any games, but to win the award for Best Painted Army. He spends literally a year painting it, spending a week on each individual model. Dude is crazy, but goddamn his minis look sick!
one thing he forgot to mention about grey knights is that their hold on the warp around them is so strong that when they are near demons will hear a choir, it is literally the demons hearing Doom music meme
14:44 this just makes me think of the meme “….wait…why do I hear boss music?….” Just drop a church and the bass at the same time and rampage to their own theme song
Edit: also the quotes from 40k are the most edgy hardcore poetic ass stuff ever and I 1000% love it
Also I love how much she loves how over the top the Sisters of Battle are.
They're great
Another 40k channel asked the question "Why are the Ultramarines the main face of warhammer?" And the miniature centric part of the answer was that their color scheme of blue armor with the gold bits is that the colors involved means that beginners have a much easier time getting the base paint job done, and can result in a nice looking miniature even without doing any shading. Thus a perfect model for beginners to start out with.
I’m straight but there’s something about the Grey Knights that makes me go “holy shit that’s hot”
There's a sword I love in a book that's really cool similar to that one demon blade. Nightblood, it's a conscious sword that was born of REALLY powerful like, soul magic. All things made of this magic follow to the best of their abilities a certain command given to them. Nightblood's command is to destroy evil.
Anyone that touches the blade has their soul instantly evaporate leaving just a lifeless husk behind and the sword tempts anyone near to pick it up and invites them to destroy evil while sucking their souls as fuel to keep on going. The owner literally just throws it so someone picks it up, kills their own allies and then dies in the process.

Everyone in agreement?
Also, bonus about the AdMech: it’s a legitimately interesting in-universe point that the Omnisiah and the Emperor are considered to be consubstantial (re:different sides of the same person). One of the most interesting 40k books I ever read was ‘Titanicus’ which was about a forge world that was undergoing a religious schism about the relationship between Emps and Omni as a Chaos invasion was taking place.
EDIT: Also, it helps that this is a universe where if your car breaks down, how nice you are to it and how hard you pray on the side of the road has a legit chance of making it work again.
2:58 In 40K, the only thing the Imperium cares more about than emperor worship is that everyone pays their taxes 😂
I love the sisters of battle, I'm collecting them and the Necrons. Those two and good ole Perter Turbo are my favorites. I cant wait to see her learn about the rest of the factions of humanity and then all the xenos. Hopefully she watches Bricky's space marine legions explained video as well.
I love the Mechanicus. They’re probably the weirdest and goofiest human faction.
26:12 "Ordo Draigo present. We will provide the Hams!"

There is a story in Warhammer 40K about an Adeptus Mechanicus who went into the bowels of Mars in the search of knowledge and found the dreaded secret behind his order which made him rip off all of his cybernetics and crawl back to the surface where he resented the Omnissiah for what it was doing to him and others.
Did he find out about the void dragon?
Name of this Knowledge-seeker?
My joy is... immeasurable and my day is better. Thank you for diving in the Warhammer 40k lore! It's always amazing everytime to see someone new interested ^^

Adepta Sororitas is genuinely so freaking cool. Do NOT mess with those ladies.
Love the honest reaction to Bricky's explanations.
Looking forward to the section about Death Guard and Orks
Mah mean greens! Woo!
Best part about Mechanicus? Their sacred prayers half the time that they chant in binary? It's literally reciting a step-by-step start-up manual. Their " Prayer of Ignition " for engines on warp-faring vessels? It's literally the equivalent of chanting how to assemble a piece of furniture step by step and the furniture assembles itself. They call it " Ritual of Ignition " to start a big engine or war machine and every time it can be summed up as " Push the on button. If it doesn't work, turn it off, say a prayer, turn it back on. "
There is guy named Warrior Tier, does amazing Warhammer 40k theme videos where he voices over stories and talks about the other
factions.
His universe lore summary narrated by out boy Trazyn the Infinite - is one of the best fan made lore videos on RUclips. Must see, and SO little reactors saw it, a shame(
It's always amazing seeing new folks fall into the rabbit hole that is 40k ❤️
Bricky also does a podcast with one of his friends called Adeptus Ridiculous. His friend knows jack shit about Warhammer, so Bricky just explains ridiculous Warhammer lore to him, it's amazing. Very worth a listen
So what Bricky doesn't quite get into is how the Mechanicus integrated with the Imperium, their cult maintains a trinity, the Machine God, the Omnissaiah, and the Motive Force. The Machine God gives rise to all technology. It's physical manifestation is the Omnissaiah. The Motive Force gives all life and motion its existence.
When the Emperor launched the Great Crusade and came to Mars, he fulfilled a prophecy (which he himself planted) in which told how the Omnissaiah would manifest to the Mechanicus. He thus was able to integrate them with the Imperium as the Omnissaiah. For this to go through he had to preserve their religion of course. With the Treaty of Mars they maintain a lot of independence, including the preservation of their religion, and since this was set in place by the Emperor while he lived, no one can fuck with it, not even the Inquisition.
I think the bullies would be seen as the "good kids" in 40k. "oh, you're a violent kid? Great, have a gun." In opposed to "you're a docile cry baby kid? Meh, serve or be lobotomized."
Technically the Emperor is the Omnissiah. He's the Avatar of the Machine God in the AdMech's eyes. The Machine God has no name technically, and the "spirit of each machine" is called the Motive Force.
A funny story about grey knights. I know a guy who plays the 40k table top game (dnd, not the figures). During one of his sessions his character looked upon a grey knight, just looked upon it. By the next session he was told to make a new character. His character was black bagged between play sessions because he saw a grey knight. They are very secretive and are NOT supposed to be known by normal people besides important parties. And even then, not all those parties know.
Lmfao, that DM sounds funny. But I hope the player wasn't too mad as the Greyknights sometimes just erase memories using their psychics so he could've gone with that instead
@@ironduke5058thats basically what might have been implied. Plus, they were fine about it. It did put the fear of grey knights into that player from then on though. Plus it was a only war campaign so.. definately expected to just lose the character
An utterly fantastic series for deep diving into Warhammer 40k is Five(ish) Minutes Lore. In the previous video you asked "Who is Goge Vandire?" Oh boy, does Old Man Reacts have an answer you you. An answer full of performance anger and copious amounts of sarcasm, very accurate slander, snappy wordplay, and memes.
The Mechanicus are so cool in my opinion. I now pray to my pc each time I open it just because I fell in love with the Mechanicus. A lot of their rituals for machines have actual uses, such as lubricating a component or repairing a damaged part, but over the millennia their repair manuals have turned into holy scripts, mixing legitimate engineering with rituals. There is also evidence that machine spirits exist, particularly in large war machines. Their army, the skitarri all have mental implants that connect them into a huge hive mind. They can March in perfect unison, and receive orders instantly. They are constantly sending rats to their tech priest commanders. Speaking of which, some of the more advanced tech priest could easily kill space marines. Bellisarius Cawl, who was shown in the video, is like 14 feet tall and 10000 years old he could likely murder swaths of space marines if necessary. The Mechanicus also command the Titan legions, which are the largest war machines in the imperium. The Mechanicus call them “god machines.” And seeing one is akin to seeing god himself.
Hell yes they are cool! The sisters are fantastic
Lysander and and Koda! Warhammer 40k all the primarchs explained pls!. 😊
Also the :o face she makes when she finds out the providers of as and tech for humanity..... are heretics.
I think the best thing about the sisters of battle is the fact that their faction is born from a technicality.
Basically there was this big civil war because the eclesiarchy was fucking around and, after they lost, they signed a pact saying that "no man may wield arms in our name". So instead they made an army comprised of only women to get around that.
It was more "These nuns are so fanatically devoted to the Emperor that they were able to fight _Space Marines_ to a standstill, it would be an absolute waste to toss that in the bin. So let's word it so we can keep them, but the rest of the army can go into the trash."
8:27 the Community running gag is that Admechs replace their primary secs organs with a neutron laser. In the lore, some of the older and high-ranking techpriests only have a brainstem remaining
3:00 When he is talking about praying to the Machine Spirits of the guns....... You remember the film, Astartes? Right at the beginning, a Marine was holding an inscence burner over his Bolter, and then the red light on the gun blinked on.
Grey Knight are so OP because their Geneseed (genes of Primarcs that turns humans into Space Marines) comes from the Big E aka the Emperor himself.

Woo, didn't expect the next part so soon, hype. Thanks Alicia.
25:15: Painting the figures is not the only part where love and attention goes. Hobbyists can go to lengths to customize ("convert" or "kitbash") their miniatures by combining parts from different kits, sometimes sculpting new pieces outright.
“In my books, that’s still heresy, dawg.”
I couldn’t be happier to see that you’ve taken to 40k like -a- -fish- -to- -water- a rat to a sinking ship.
So the Dunestriders are an odd example. The techpriest who made them work had enemies calling him a heretek and was worried he was about to get murdered so intentionally hid the activation sequence. He did get murdered and his lab burned down losing the activation sequence forever.
Caldor Draigo - Warhammer equivalent of Doom Guy. He get dropped into Warp, and now rampages trough relams of Chaos, murdering demons, for last few millenia, just being "It's not me stuck here with you, it's you that are stuck here with me!"
8:47 - Pure badassery, and with my own spinal injuries and constant pain I've also wanted cybernetic upgrades and replacements.
Someone needs to show Alicia 'Attenborough Lore'. Hands down the best Warhammer 40k lore content ever created.

Keep going and have fun, Alicia!
Fun lore fact! The Sisters of Battle only exist due to a loop hole in the Law.
Right not going into too much detail, a guy , Goge Vandire fucked shit up, became too powerful and power hungry and lead the Imperium to another civil war. The Guy made him self head of the church and head of the High Lords of Terra, that rule "in the Emperor's name". After he was delt with the Church was slapped down , and it was decreed that the Church would have " No Men Under Arms". I think you see where we are going with this. 😁
Will not go into details as it's bloody long, but i do recommend searching and seeing if anyone has done lore videos on Goge Vandire and the Age of Apostasy/The Reign of Blood.
Not only is praying to your gun mandatory, but all maintenance must be done via the cult rituals and prayers specifc to the weapon type, however daring to test fire your weapon to make sure it works is grounds for immediate execution as only one who lacked faith would need reassurance of their weapons functions.
There's a fun tidbit about 40k which is: in Italian, it is even more metal.
There's a quote about how the roar of boltgun fire is a song of death that the Emperor sings to his enemies. So since "boltgun" is a term that sounds terrible if translated literally in Italian, the GW translators changed "boltgun" into "Requiem". Which is, in case you didn't know, the term for a composition played at someone's funeral.
That's metal as fuck, y'all.
One more thing - the seat of the Imperium is Holy Terra, sure, but the interstellar Imperium is founded upon the pact between Earth and Mars. Think of the Mechanicus as like how the megacorps from Cyberpunk exist. Nations and boundaries like that are suggestions to them rather than hard rules, but at the same time it's stupid for the empire-within-the-empire to *not* weigh in to things.
The space Marines in astartes were from the Retributors Chapter, which is a successor branch of the imperial fists. They weren't "normal Space Marines"

Well Alicia the omnissiah is kinda sorta a real thing. You see there is this creature called a void dragon and the void dragon is very good at making stuff. 1000 years ago when the emperor was in medieval armor he slayed the dragon and put it underneath Earth. Then after Earth became technologically-advanced because of the Void dragons dreams. And those dreams spread through all of humanity that's why they became Advanced and what technology and stuff. He moved the dragon to Mars so the omnissiah is real it's just that he is an alien god that is currently asleep and if he ever were to wake up Mars's screwed massively
I don't know dude, you sound kinda like a heretic to me.
The Void dragon is not the machine God, nor the Omnissiah, for C'tan are not psychic creature: that theory does not stand
@@BigBex that's why I said kinda sorta the boy dragon is Akutan sure but technically he is the omnissiah because the dragons dreams and present does effect technology
One thing I don’t think Bricky gives enough detail about is the whole “praying to make your tech work” thing in the Mechanicus. In reality, most human tech in 40K still operates according to the laws of (sci-fi) physics, but the superstitious Mechanicus doesn’t actually understand how any of it works anymore. They just know that the "prayers" and rituals that they've been passing down for millennia cause their machines to do what they want.
The maintenance, repair, and operation of *_everything_* is ritualized. The “prayer” usually takes the form of purpose-built chanting that serves as a mnemonic device, which guides the operator/technician through the motions necessary to achieve the desired result, whether that be replacing a part, starting an engine, clearing a jam, or killing an enemy. If a ritual is ever lost, they don't have the knowledge or skills necessary to recreate it (even trying would likely be seen as tech-heresy), and they'll forever lose whatever functionality that ritual facilitated.

6:10 an important to remember that this takes place in 41,000 and currently we’re in 2,023…. Rome was about 2,000 years ago… the emperor was entombed on the golden throne over 10,000 years prior to the current canon…
Now just imagine how Ancient Rome feels to us and consider how ancient everything is for us that are JUST 6,000 years ago…. 10k is such a wildly long time that it’s a given that it’s turned into a religion at some point.
Alicia: From the moment I understood the weakness of my flesh, it disgusted me. I craved the strength and certainty of steel. I aspired to the purity of the Blessed Machine. Your kind cling to your flesh, as though it will not decay and fail you. One day the crude biomass you call the temple will wither, and you will beg my kind to save you. But I am already saved, for the Machine is immortal… Even in death I serve the Omnissiah.
As a software developer, I can confirm we pray, burn incense and chant in high gothic with each deployment of old legacy systems. There's no way to refactor those. The original developers are gone or dead and it's written in some ancient programming languages like C, COBOL or Fortran.
The best prank when I was in college was when someone donated 600 suits of power armor to the local sorority
Adepta Sororitas and Imperial Guard player for life. Really enjoying watching your reaction to and insight into Warhammer.
Would suggest watching Warrior Tier an Ogryn story.
its funny to me, when I see commentin that chat when you asked if grey knights were in astartes animation and ppl jsut typed no, "just normal" space marines... I remember reading one of horus heresy books about thousand sons, where a lotof battlebrothers from their legion were also psykers and they went through a nullzone, where psychics did not work. majority of those marines complained that now they were jsut a regular space marine and one of them just thought to himself: "a regular space marine....how arogant that sounds." I just smile now.. thank you :D
Sometimes the machine spirit is real angry, and ornery and decided to continue fighting, even though the crew is trying to retreat
Whenever somebody is having computer problems at work, the first thing I ask them is, "What kind of incense are you burning to please the Machine Spirits?" Suddenly, the confusion they feel makes their computer problem seem small by comparison.
I'm not even a subscriber, I've just stumbled across this video by recommendations, but I will pray for your health. My mother died of cancer last November, it will soon be a full year since I parted ways with her. I wish you all best and full recovery.
