so will the lens support that you made for this one also work on my tokina with nikon mount? like the layout of the screws.. if it does i can mount the lens on my zhiyun crane 3 lab instead of some weird adapters and plates i have know that are conected on the camera and overhang to the middle of the lens for balance
This lens supporter is custom made to Canon mount lenses and cannot be applied to Nikon mount lenses. Because Nikon mount has an aperture ring, it is difficult to apply this lens supporter as it is.
I'm lazy, so it's impossible to sell. There is a file download link in the video description. Get a free shared file from the link and create it yourself. :)
Do you rehouse Tokina AT-X PRO 28-70mm f2.6-2.8 with a EF mount adapter or your original lens has the EF mount? I found a Tokina AT-X PRO 28-70mm f2.6-2.8 with a minolta mount and I was wondering if it possible to re-house like yours. Thanks
The lens in this video is the EF mount version, and I bought an additional one because I wanted to try it in AF mode. However, I was surprised by the loud AF sound, and decided to use it only in MF mode. There are 3 versions of this lens: Nikon F, Canon EF, and Minolta A mount.
If I'm not mistaken you have adapted the EF version to a Sony... Can you tell me if it adapts well electronically? I do own a Nikon version but wonder if I could get the EF version instead and at least get the focal lenght transmitted to the camera for stabilisation purposes. Thanks in advance
Sorry for the late reply. I used a Metabones V EF to E adapter and tested it Sorry for the late reply. Tested with Sony A7R2 using Metabones V EF to E adapter. (Firmware is the latest version.) At first, autofocus worked well when I made a loud sound. And sometimes when the lens stopped working, I turned the camera off and back on and it worked again. However, the stoppage phenomenon was a bit frequent, and the sound of the lens operating was so loud that it was burdensome to shoot still images, let alone record videos. My conclusion is that it is difficult to recommend even using it in MF mode because it is difficult to operate the aperture due to frequent stops. This could be an issue that Metabones doesn't support properly. I think the Nikon version is a better choice because you can manually operate the aperture control on the lens. I'm not sure if the focal length information for image stabilization is normally transmitted or not, as I haven't checked. Above all, it's hard to recommend because of the frequent stoppages.
@@MountainBreezeStudio i got one myslef in the end but the aperture kept cycling between 3 most open values irrespective of what camera tried to select. The AF wasn't too loud but it was not accurate either. In the end I settled for a Nikon version.

I'm sorry! That part is necessary for the Nikon version and not for the EF version. I must have made a mistake while uploading the file! Thanks for letting me know! :)
@@MountainBreezeStudio Seems like I'm the first one who are really printing it and spot the mistake. Will you update the file? Cause now I'm lacking a part haha :(
Imagine if this man is given the sirui anamorphic lineup lenses, they would look so dope! 🤤 Keep up the great work!!

Do you take requests? I would happily pay per Lens rehousing for my Chinon vintage set.
Sorry. It is only a hobby level, so we cannot respond to your request.

I think we're missing a file? between the rear and the zoom ring?
Oops!! I checked again now, but there is no problem with my blog download files.
Sorry, but it’s not there. I have everything printed here and there seems to be a missing ring between the rear and the zoom.
I'm not sure which part is missing exactly. Are you referring to the aperture control ring? This is the ef mount version so there is no aperture ring.
@@MountainBreezeStudio quite possibly, yes. There is an odd gap with it missing.
If your lens is a Nikon f-mount lens, please refer to this.

Thank you for this, i am desperately looking to do for ef mount of this lens, is there any possibility to do it for ef?
Sorry! I'm not sure what you're asking in the comments. :(
Do you have Nikon mount?
How is the autofocus in Video?

can you also print this in metal?
Metal 3D printing is too expensive.
"Tokina 28-70 f2.6-2.8 AT-X PRO_Aperture_ring" This file is wrong, the size is not fit and it shoud be the zoom marking not aperture marking.

Yes. Please update!
This seems to be the same issue I’m having.
