Great video. I have had and have several of these. The one with the screw thread and metal hood seems better than the one with plastic hood and bayonet threads. I live in the F4 world with this lens alot.

Nice overview! finally someone mentions whether a lens has actual manual focus haha

Great video on a great lens. I've been seriously considering looking at getting the Minolta A-mount version and throwing it on my camera. I don't mind if it's not parfocal, I just want a decent little zoom range with vintage character for my full frame camera without paying $2k for their own version

Hi, it seems that some others get a closer to parfocal performance out of their lenses. This often happens with adapters. There are some shims inside the lens that some users have modified to adjust the backfocus/effective flange distance. What brand of adapter were you using just so I know to avoid it? :D

Even parfocal lenses aren't parfocal if backfocus isn't set properly. You can't really determine if the lens itself is parfocal unless you can confirm backfocus is correct first.

Hi, what adapter are you using? Thanks!
