I’m sharing my experience because of how difficult it has been through Perimenopause and I have felt so alone and helpless no woman should have to feel this way through this transformation…because that is what and how it should be looked as… you are amazing!!! I’m 49 now taking progesterone and testosterone and feel awesome!!!! I’m so happy for doctors like you!❤️😘😘

I was told TODAY to “just lose the weight” and that she will not prescribe HRT as I didn’t state “hot flashes” as part of my literally dozens of other symptoms INCLUDING stalling my weight loss and not able to shed further pounds.

I am proud of myself for not smacking old man doctors (5 of them) who've told me to eat less, move more, and it's normal.

My doc (male, 60s): you're too young but even if you were in perimenopause it's going to happen whether you like it or not, so there's nothing we can do about it. (I was 43)

I have had clots on my lungs 10years ago to find out then I have a full clotting Gene (Factor V Leiden). Can you please advise me on how I can control or deal with perimenopausal symptoms and estrogen decrease as I believe I am not going to be a good candidate for anything out there? I have just joined your Gold program to hopefully help my poor unhappy changing body.
    Regards kim

Hi. Can you not carry on taking HRT after 60 then? I’m trying to listen whilst doing housework. I think I heard you say it’s risky to take it into the 60’s. I am 50, peri-menopausal and looking into HRT. So if I go on it, must I come off it at 60? And then if I do, will these symptoms start again, I.e. weight gain, skin problems, lack of sleep, UTI’s etc and I have to put up with them until the end of my natural life? And have the associated risks of no oestrogen any more, heart attack, dementia, fractures? Thanks.

My periods are like clockwork every month but I’ve put on 30lbs over the last 4 years (due to stopping smoking and replacing it with cake!) and now can’t shift it. I do intermittent fasting, eat healthily and drink over 2 litres of water per day. Is it lack of oestrogen or too much? Thanks xx

Could you speak more specifically about progesterone during peri menopause?
I’m trying to figure out if it is estrogen or progesterone that helps the most with hot flashes. Everything I’m reading seems to suggest both do?

You are a godsend to me 😍 my doc put me on 100 mg progesterone and low dose of testosterone which ( to my surprise) helped stopping hot flashes and I sleep again , but .. the visceral fat and overall fatigue is still there . Would it be safe to start low dose of estrogen as well despite of her saying is not too low yet ?

How to treat total loss of libido and actual changes in mental outlook about sex in perimenopause (10+ years). SEVERE abandonment of all physical anything and after years of discussion, indications of mental attitude and opinion about sex has changed so drastically - ??? Just devastating and any suggestion by me is met with rejection and hostility - even when just asking to have a perimenopause / menopause specialist check.

Doctor said hormone testing not needed- won’t tell us anything about menopause stages. Cannot prescribe HRT unless I have severe symptoms due to risks. Mentioned diet and exercise. No discussion of recommended supplements or recommended nutrition plan.

How do I find someone who is knowledgeable in perimenopause? I have Cystic Fibrosis and CF related diabetes and believe that a medication I am on to treat CF has put me in perimenopause despite my labs being "normal". 20lbs weight gain, disturbed sleep, rage, hair loss, nails tearing and peeling, edema. HELP!

Wrong. Listen to Pamela Wartian Smith you need Progesterone for brain health not just for the uterus so should be taken even if hysterectomy. Estrogen only is outdated advice
