I've been using this in my 2013 5.3 for 3 or 4 months now, and it works great. My fuel mileage is exactly the same average as before, and it stays in 8 cylinder. No issues.
I purchased this same thing off Amazon about 2 1/2 months back, wanted to delete it before I did my exhaust, and so far no issues 👌🏼
Same!!
I've had this same device for 2 years now and can say that I've had no issue so far. No lifter issues and have 100k miles on it
Just hit 160k
Here in December 2023, bought one of these knock-offs on Black Friday weekend for $53. Works like a charm. I had been driving it it M5 mode, now it can use 6th gear on the highway and doesn't ever go into v4.
I have one on my 2018 Yukon and ran it for about 2 months no problems. Leave it plugged in for about a week without starting and no issues.
Still working good ?
@@ivects6817 yep
Bought the range because i wasnt going to gamble with my trucks computer over 100 dollar difference. These should help prevent the 5 3l lifter issue as well much less wear and tear. Some of the cheaper ones reprogram/overwrite your trucks ecu which i didnt want.
Also, check out shift technologies to get the bypass cooler deleted on that and you will run a heck of a lot cooler on your transmission temperatures and save your transmission as well but yes, I’m running a unit very similar to that on my 2021 Silverado and I’m having no problems
Just bought that exact one… how is it holding up
Thanks for the video was wondering if the thing still works for you
I had a chirping, ticking noise. Thought it was a belt pulley or something. Dealership tells me that it’s likely this lifter failure issue. I’m just of powertrain warranty of course. After more checks they find two broken exhaust manifold bolts that was causing the noise due to leaking. Still cost me $1100 but not anywhere near the lifter replacement cost. At least they didn’t try and screw me on that. Just wanted to share as I guess this isn’t that uncommon and kind of made the same sound.
Regardless I getting a Range disable anyway.
2018 Chevy Silverado 1500 6.2L all stock except 2” levelling kit.
63,000kms
Any update on it?
What year is your truck?
The difference between units is it goes off when key is off no auto stop either.
What exhaust setup do you have? Sounds good!
Thanks man I just deleted the muffler and resonator with a 4” tip
I just purchased this for my 2014 Chevy 5.3. How's it working for everyone who had it for more than a month?
Since this video it’s still working
@@davidrowe8771 thanks man!! Appreciate the follow up!!
Update would be good or a link to amazon thanks beother
Work in 2023 Sierra 5.3 with 10 speed transmission.
Maybe idk it should
I see you had 149k miles. Have you had any lifter issues to date?
I’m at 160k now and no just oil changes
Will this void the warranty?
Only if you leave it plugged in when you take vehicle for service. Shhhhhh😉
^^^^what he said but unplug it if you need to and they will never know it was in there
Remove 1 day before going to emissions test. You'll fail due to monitors not being ready. Also, if you leave it parked for more than 5 days, unplug it cause there's a chance you're battery might drain.
Did it mess with your alternator amperage? Cause mine to drop around 10-11 almost every time after take off
No sometimes it’s normal cause the way these trucks are set up to pull power when needed
@@davidrowe8771 drops to about 10-11 and don’t move as long as it’s plugged in
What did you mean at the end, There's that.
Nothing bad just like there’s the review of it
Lose the gas mileage but keep the problem lifters
U think its better than the range?
Hell no. This thing is actually bad for your interface and modules. Stick with range .
why do you say that?@@marekkrepa9982
@@marekkrepa9982got any proof of that?
@@marekkrepa9982no it’s not
lol where do you get that info at mine is working fine I’m at 160k now lol
Buy the Sure Cool part # STL010 to eliminate the E.P.A. 180 degree trans thermostat. Your Transmission will thank you
