    A good idea would be to go to a specialist in the manufacture of CNC cylinder heads and design a completely new cylinder head to convert the original to 4 valves per cylinder. You get more fuel mixture and it is much easier to get more power.

    • @2300gearjammer
      @2300gearjammer  2 года назад +1

      Haha that would cost more than everything I own. It might be time to change engines at that point. Some people are putting 4v per cylinder Volvo cylinder heads on these 2.3s but most of them fail horribly.

    • @juanzip-sp
      @juanzip-sp 2 года назад +1

      @@2300gearjammer I understand that it is expensive to manufacture a cylinder head specifically for the 2.3 SVO pinto engine, but it is not a bad idea since it would improve a lot in power and it is worth it since the block, being made of cast iron, is very strong, much better than aluminum. It is strange that the specialists in modifying these engines did not think of expressly designing a cylinder head exactly the same as a cam but with 16 valves and putting it on the high-performance parts market.

I never switched a tune. It worked perfect just driving it nicely on the street. It never pulled more than 3-4psi on the highway hills.

      I've always wondered about this. You use electric pump to gain power at crank but, in turn your creating a bigger load on the electrical circuit. Which your alternator has to keep up with. It takes quite a bit of power to create this electric current canceling out the power gain since your alternator is belt driven off the crank. Or am I missing something here?
