Perfect Switch for me would be a Switch Lite with an OLED display. Sadly, it doesn't exist tho.

As a gamer myself, the Switch Lite is definitely a budget friendly console, I’ve owned one before and it’s definitely great to have it, I have the Switch myself because my kid and I like to play on and off the tv at times

I miss the good old days where portable consoles were around 15x10 cm big
I love my switch lite! I love my Animal Crossing Switch too, but sometimes the JoyCons which I’ve never even taken off act up when I’m playing. Then I have to mess with the should buttons letting it know what I’m using to play. That certainly doesn’t happen with the Switch lite. Lastly, its sentimental because it’s a gift from my son!
That’s cute😊
Picked one up today at a pawnshop for $125, too good of a deal to just walk away from and it’s in like brand new condition.
Damn
Yea, I've gotten some great deals on consoles at pawn shops! A Switch Lite for $150 in 2021. In 2018, I got (the VCR) Xbox One for $99. I even found a solid white PS4 Pro in 2019 for $199. XBSS I got for $189, my current console. All worked flawlessly too! I love Pre owned merch
Right now theres a PS5 original for $399, disc model too... I've been eyeing it for 2 weeks
I traded some old games to someone on market place and let me buy a practically new switch v2 for 20 bucks. Couldn't believe it
I’ve got a variety of different Switch Consoles and the best thing I love about about the Lite is you can hold it and won’t feel the joycons moving around. It’s more like a GBA or a 2DS, a PSP if you will, or even a PSVITA. Can’t beat the OLED screen though. I love them all.
I own an indigo Switch Lite and it's my most valuable investment for road trips
Yeah

Yes, same thoughts about wives. Jk
actually the switch lite can have a advantage here because since the screen is significantly smaller then the oled that switch lite can have more sharper images
Everyone that says lite is bad it's okay to have an opinion but don't go out of your way to push someone into thinking that the switch lite is worse then the oled, let people enjoy what they want
You basically said it's fine to have an opinion unless you don't agree with me lmao
No, switch lite is garbage and people need to know that.
you can enjoy a bad system, but that doesnt make it good. no docking capability and the fact that it still gets stick drift makes it an expensive brick in no time flat.
@@alexlandsbergs do you own a lite??? I've had mine since like late 2022 and it still has yet to yield any problems
@@Dylan_Smith91 If people wanna go this far, we could argue that the entire switch line in itself is garbage compared to the other flagship consoles. Lite, original, oled, either way you're getting something that isnt truly that great. That's also why they're even putting out a switch 2 eventually. Anyways what matters is that some models work for some people while others don't, why spend the extra hundred if you dont mind not having the extra features?
The Switch Lite is great. The only flaws are if you get joy-con drift, you don’t replace the controller, you replace the entire console.
Oh, and theres no vibrations, you cant connect it to a TV, or PC etc.
You also can’t play with 2 players or more using the same controller (obviously)
You can replace the joysticks, or take the system apart yourself to do it. They got videos all over RUclips, step by step guides to replacing and modding that switch lite.
I know im taking the engagement bait here. BUT, the normal switch both lcd and oled are just as portable. And I've never heard of someone losing their joy cons
I just bought a switch lite even tho i have the OLED, but imma make the OLED my home console and the lite my travel as its way more portable for travel
But then should you have gotten a normal switch? The extra features added to the OLED are only handheld related.
@@ali.5481that 50 bucks extra for the oled are very worth it. That screen is fucking dynamite.

I love how he says “oh and I really dnt think that” and then the video restarts and he says “ the switch light is better then the oled” lol
"It's small and fits in my hand" well that answers the question...
the issue with the switch in general is that it says that you can play on the go. when half of the games you cant even play on the go. :( The lite is kinda better because you dont have to worry about the joy-cons being loose. you could also buy two :) but i see what you did by adding the end part.
But what if the switch gets stick drift
@@PokeGames7 On the lite? Uhhhh. Nintendo can probably fix that. But for the normal switch you can ship the joy cons to Nintendo. But you can also fix it at home by cleaning the sticks and stuff. Or... you can just buy a new switch if your THAT rich.
POV: you get stick drift weeks from purchase 😂😂😂
Switch lite = double cheeseburger Switch Oled = Big Mac both have pros and cons
Just cause u can’t find ur Joycons doesn’t mean it’s better
The normal switch was made to be a very portable console, which it is.
The switch lite is really just a cheaper and worse version of the normal switch.
Ever heard "If you can't say anything positive, don't say anything."??
Still good to have at least a switch so you can play on TV
RUclips money definitely is going on smack
Switch Lite is perfect for on-the-go gaming, no need for extra Joycons. Just grab and play!
I have to agree since it fits perfect in my pockets
Oled is better because
- Better Screen
- Bigger Screen
- Can play on TV
- Can remove joycons
- Can replace joycons if they go bad
- Can play in 3 different ways
- Better button quality
- Comes with 64 GB storage
- Better color contrast
- Better audio quality
- Longer battery life
- Has built in 2 player
- Has an adjustable kickstand

@@chat-yt6leyou’re the noob .
@thecheater_playz It depends what you are looking for.If you want a strictly handheld system that's smaller and more portable then, the lite is better. If you want to play on your TV aswell then, the switch is better.
No things is you can't remove your joy cons that's very bad if you get joy drift because the switch lite is a whole controller it's ends up costing more to fix it multiple times than just to get the switch oiled or the regular one
Just buy joycons then
most switch lites were actually modified by nintendo so that analog drift wasnt an issue, very few switch lites are actually vulnerable to it and most people dont know that.
@@ali.5481 Source?
I would argue it’s cheaper to fix than a regular switch. I can do it myself, so with labour aside the replacement parts sould cost less than what joy cons cost
Joy-con feature that vibrates the joy-con: huh?
Since the day I watch the trailer I love it, but I've always think that an OLED screen is so much better. Fortunately, there's a guy called Taki Udon creating an OLED mod screen for the Switch Lite, even with an HDMI :ᴅ
Switch lite reminds me of the 2ds. I loved my 2ds. I did have a PDP trigger grip on my 2ds so it was EXTREMELY comfortable. They’re extremely rare and impossible to find. That was the most comfortable thing I ever played with out of the whole DS family. If you want access to the library without breaking the bank and have something that’s comfortable to hold, that’s where it was at.
Its a great machine-I was looking for a successor to the 3DS so not plugging into the telly is not an issue for me( I still play my 3ds,GBA,GBC btw)
The lite is the best feeling switch by such a huge margin it doesn’t even feel like its in the same family.
I have both. The Lite is better for portable gaming but it does have one major caveat: the screen is pretty bad in sunlight. I originally started with the OLED model. The OLED screen is much better but it's also bulkier to play on the go, especially when in a crowded train, for example. What I'd like is a Switch Lite with the OLED screen and still being able to output to a TV screen (I've a Switch Pro controller, so I don't need detachable Joy-Cons.
wulff den and beatemups and retro all have that iconic men with long hair! Is it like a switch meme I’m missing?
Hahaha idk what it is but it happens ha
This guy's rage baiting is actually genius
When comparing the original Nintendo Switch vs. Lite, both come with 32GB of internal memory, but the OLED has 64GB of space. Having double the memory is convenient and depending on the number of games a person plays or downloads, it might be more than enough space. and the oled is 100 dollars more with tv mirroring and detachable and attachable joycons. what are you taking? i pick oled. 😂 no debate
Whatever you like to play on is perfect for you, just have fun with the console you love, when it comes to consoles and games don't go by what others say. Enjoy your gaming time we are on borrowed time. God bless.
I agree I love handhelds more than consoles
Sizes don't matter. nintendo lite is for starters. But its good.
Another reason is , if you have PC or laptop you can just emulate the switch games in a big screen.
I LOVE that you can’t detach the joycons, so that when one inevitably starts drifting in six months, you gotta send the whole system in for repair. Huge upgrade over still being able to play Switch games while Nintendo only repairs the joycons.
I’ve had my switch lite for years and never had any issues with it, plus if you get stick drift, just repair it yourself, it’s really easy and cheap to do
I hate it when Shorts loop perfectly. Annoys me so much.
I had a switch and I didn't like the way I could feel the joycons shifting as I played. I barely used it. I got a lite and I always use it now because it definitely feels more comfortable. Especially if you add a clear case like he has here
Permanent joycon drift
@@Wario1382open up lite and replace with new ones
If it's for adult hands, other than price, there is no reason to buy any switch other than the OLED version. I bought the regular switch and found myself playing mostly in handheld mode a few hours a week. So I gave it to the kids and bought the lite. Hated it. Played it for a few weeks and gave to my oldest. Then I bought the OLED.😍😍😍 I've played it everyday since. All these purchases were with in a year and a half period. Before I bought the regular switch I didn't play video games in years.
I got a used version for $70. I love it. It fits perfectly in my coat pockets
I had a switch lite for 3 years bit i really wanted to have an OLED
Just a curiosity, where do yall live where the lite is half the cost of an oled? In Romania the lite is 270 dollars, the oled is 310 lol
u can put on your pocket pants too
For those who think joycon drift is annoying just get a new shell and to a shell replacement you can make it look really cool and replace the contr stick
What if u get drift? What if u want to dock it? What if u want to play with your friends?
As much as I love the switch, the screen was just a hair too small for many modern games. I always said if the screen was just a little bigger...OLED made it so I can play anything I want handheld.
Half the price perfect for when you have to replace the whole console due to stick drift
Forgot to finish your thought at the end there?
Bro it already has a small screen, undetachable joy cons, which means once you get stick drift your stuck with, you can only play by yourself
most switch lites were actually modified by nintendo so that analog drift wasnt an issue, very few switch lites are actually vulnerable to it and most people dont know that.
Also, you're probably a spoiled brat, because the switch lite is literally just a switch that cant play on TV. Your rich ass always wants the extra priviledges.
Me : buys a second hand V1 switch for the reasons that you should know
Enjoy the overheating and battery issues
Just bought a v1 its perfect for a perma docked console
They all have their disadvantages and advantages, so just pick what suits you best 😀
switch lite: Games logic:
*greatly increase battery life*
_more portable_
*Cheaper*
I have the Switch Lite and the regular Switch! I love them both! I tend to leave the regular clunky Switch at home with the 📺 and i take the Switch Lite with me on the go! The Switch Lite feels more compact and portable like a PSP. I also love playing the Switch Lite in tabletop mode with the Switch Pro controller!
well the oled it still fits in your hands perfectly it's not a phone it has buttons + has a bigger display with higher resolution but the Lite you can put it in your pocket, and since the display is smaller the battery should hold more
I got the dialga and palkia switch lite because of the color, it looks metallic and the black buttons and joysticks are way nicer then the gray joycons or any other color for any joycons (other then the splatoon oled switch joycons)
Yeah I feel that
I can agree with you it's more better than the OLED because it's pocket size and I can fit it in my pocket but that's not a smart idea but it is my favorite hand held console
I like your teenage bottlerocket hat
The biggest problem with the lite is the speakers are god awful making it impossible to play any voice acted games unless you are in a silent room
Listened to the opener and immediately commented this and turned it off. Being able to display on a tv makes all of your points moot.
Unless you’re playing on tv how are you losing the joycons?
Aren’t they coming out with an oled switch mod - if anyone stumbles upon this old video
I mean what about stick drift? You cant switch out the controller when it breaks eventually.
I used to play on Lite, and recently I bought OLED. I don't know, I mostly play handheld and Switch Lite for me more comfortable to play, because of weight, I was disappointed with OLED lol
Losing ur joycons is actually something that never happens
Justin Buice into gaming now? Thought he only knew BMWs
The switch lite is like a demo version of the switch because you can’t dock it to a tv or monitor, can’t remove the joy-cons, and it’s just like a demo for people to buy the actual switch
Actually, it’s your opinion doesn’t mean it’s the best because the OLED is actually the best It gives you a better gaming experience but a lot of people like all the other ones so that’s fine but. It’s your opinion, because this video is actually gonna trick people. And they’re gonna think the Nintendo switch light has everything that the Nintendo switch has so keep that in mind
Bro, did you see the full video? 😂😂
I have an oled but am considering getting a lite as well, for my travels. I can get one pretty cheap through a second hand store, and I like that the switch lite is smaller and more lightweight.
On the other hand I am worried about joycon drift, im fortunate enough to - so far - not having fallen victim to it with my oled and I own it for more than a year now. But obviously, its a whole lot easier to replace a joycon if you can simply detach it. No such thing on the lite...
As a both, nintendo switch lite and nintendo switch owner I can say that switch is way better. You can use the switch on the go as well and the lite being couple centimeters shorter isn't an argument. I personally like the switch's screen being bigger and the switch can do anything a lite can do, but also a lot more. If you have money, go for the switch, but if you just want to play the greatest games out there (like Tears of the Kingdom and Breath of the Wild), which are the only games that make nintendo switch actually worth it for the cheapest price, definitely go for the Lite.
The switch lite is way better than the oled. Its an overclocking beast. Zelda TOTK and BOTW at 60fps on the switch is mind-blowing.
Me personally, the 3DS just obliterates all the handheld consoles out there!!!
My daughter plays my switch OLED in handheld mode all the time, so I'm debating on getting her a Switch Lite so I can have my switch back lol.
We need a switch lite oled model with improved screen, thumbsticks, and battery. I do miss my switch lite, got rid of it and kind of regret it. Debating about getting one again even though i have an oled. Also loved how customizable switch lite was ^^
Have fun replacing your entire system when you get drift in 3 months lol. Ill happily remove 2 ribbon cables and be on my way with my OLED
If the lite was dockable I would buy it.
i bought it because it's not dockable. I wouldn't play it docked anyway.
so, Nintendo knows how to sell these things to everyone.
@@timkasansky2528I got the new blue Switch Lite I don’t want to play on TV then I’ll have to Switch to TV when I’m done plus the original Switch doesn’t come in colors
Why’s he yelling at me?
Already a year with mine and is genuinely an amazing console, already played games like Doom 2016/Eternal, Bioshock, Almost all RE (saving to buy 5 as its the last one im missing), Nier and Persona 5 and is super comfortable since is very light to hold compared to the others switch models, the smaller screen makes game looks a bit better and the D-Pad is amazing for 2D games, specially for Snes, Genesis and GBA
Everyone gangsta until joy cons start drifting
Yeah Every time it comes around my birthday mine just decides to commit suicide like it it just kind of breaks really easy either a joy con or it’s just decided to not work no more it kind of sucks
I would agree to start an extent Still , any problem with the switch light is that you get permanent joy con drift
They Really Need To Do The Switch Olite Or Lited.
I hope you have fun while that drift stick aint working no more
I have both but prefer the lite for on the go
300$ vs 200$ isn't half the cost.
