Just what I was looking for! Instructions as you say are confusing to say the least. Thanks for taking the time to make the video and simplifying the process! Thanks
Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for the video. Searched for a swap video to change my grips which are already heated. You just saved me $$$'s. Keep up the good work.
brilliant! you have saved my life! I'm also about to change my stock grips and I couldn't find anything about it. Your video helped me know that it is easier than I thought. Now thanks to you I will be able to change them and make the video of how it is done on my channel. greetings from 🇲🇽 ✌🏼 🔥
Easier said than done on a SG or Ultra. I have to disassemble the entire front end to get to my plugs. Those wire are getting cut and soldered at the bar end. I had a hell of a time getting in there to do the bars im not going through that hell again. And not to mention I have 12” meat hooks. Fishing around that sharp corner isn’t easy.
This is Def helpful, thanks. I have a 21 rgs with Willie g heated grips that I want to move to a 22 rgl that I'm getting next week. The dealer quoted me 3 hours of labor to do that! Lol I need to remove the heated grips & wiring on my rgs, then put the stock unheated grips back on it looks like. Thanks again!
Thank you very much for posting this video. You are right the instruction are kinda complicated. I have a 2021 Ultra Limited and i am doing the same upgrade.
Unfortunately what this video doesn't show is that it is nigh on impossible to pull the clutch side wires out without also pulling out all your left hand control harness. I took this on thinking I was going to be able to knock it out in 30 minutes and no, I got to disconnect the whole left hand side controls and pull all the wires out together to get these heated grip wires out.
@@geepr12 thanks for getting back to me. I have the rubber heated grips and would like to upgrade them. I live in north east ohio so I use mine a lot too.
I'm looking at doing the same thing where I'm', adding 10" LA Chopper Twin Peaks now making use of the heated stock grips (cause they get nice and hot), and then swap out the grips an aftermarket HD set myself down the road. I have a 2022 UL

Some of the videos I watched said it would overheat and blow the Fuze. Any problems for you?
Never blown a fuse. I am in Wisconsin and I use them at a high setting all of the time.

You will not regret it!!
Very helpful, thanks, the instructions are bad
Is this the same for the ultra limited?
I am pretty sure it is.

Not worth the aggrevation when you have 14inch meathooks. When my.heated grips go they aren't getting changed lol
