IT a real one to give Grant Hill props as the heir apparent to MJ. Without the injuries, Grant without a doubt would’ve been a top 10 player of all time. He wouldn’t dethrone MJ, but he’d be in the likes of Kobe. People seem to forget that.
Top 10 ever (kinda hard to rank guys at different spots without flaws) is pure hyperbole with Grant. He was nice, but he was like a lighter version of LBJ. Hmmm interesting that Scottie was the second player and first for a playoff team to lead his team in all statistical categories. He took a Jordanless team to 50 wins and should’ve won the MVP award. He did win the All Star game award after putting on a clinic. Funny how some people have revisionist history...
Olajuwon deserved that MVP award in 1994. Also, Scottie on his own led the Bulls to 55 wins and a 2nd round playoff elimination. Meanwhile, Isiah led the Pistons once to a 63 win season and an NBA title beating Bird, Jordan and Magic in the process. It's not hard to tell who the better leader was.
@@drestathagangsta8880 Valid facts, but he wasn't arguing against Isaiah, he was arguing FOR Pippen. Of Course Isiah was the leader, but at the same time Pippen never had to do that before, it takes leaders years of playing to learn the ins and outs of that role, even if you were just one notch below. Pippen was a different personality from Jordan so the organization probably felt different in the locker room and during practice, so you can't take away from what Pippen did after MJ. But of course Isiah was great! He was at it for years.
@Ulysses432 wtf are you talking about. Pippen was never the 2nd best in the NBA. And not the best player on the Dream Team that was Charles Barkley as said on record by Chuck Daley the Pistons Coach at the time. He told Barkley he was the greatest player he ever had the pleasure of coaching. Barkley brings it up all the time. And he avg more points than Jordan in the Olympics. Pippen will never be regarded as one of greatest. He will be the all time best side kick forever. Isiah Thomas is the 2nd greatest point guard of all time said by who Michael Jordan. Get your facts straight and quit being a sheep.
@Ulysses432 Read your statement stupid you said: "Pippen was the the second best player in the NBA after Jordan and Isiah WASN'T.". Wrong because Isiah was arguably the best player in the NBA in the 80s when he won his back to back titles. At no point was Pippen ever regarded as the 2nd best player in the NBA ever. Phil Jackson wouldn't even let Pippen take the final shot in the 94 series it went to Toni Kukoc. Pippen sat down like a bitch and bailed the final play. ruclips.net/video/QZhupKWCsEU/видео.html You also said: "Pippen was THE BEST PLAYER ON THE DREAM TEAM as said by the coaches, trainers and journalists." That's subjective I don't know what articles you were reading but Charles Barkley avg the most points on the team 2nd was Jordan. I dunno what you were watching but how could you possibly tell who was the best player when every game was decided by 30 pts or more. You may hate Isiah but you cannot take away the fact he made Jordans life a living hell in the 80s. Unless your a 🐑🐑🐑
Zeke was a Finals MVP, he was the best player on a back to back championship team. I saw him play on one ankle and nearly beat the Showtime Lakers in the 88 NBA Finals.
Hard truth though: Scottie at that time was notably better than Thomas. Pippen was 21/8/7 at the time on 51% FG% with more steals and 5x as many blocks per game and Isiah was 18.5/3/7 on 44.6% FG%. The only stat Isiah was higher in was turnovers. Scottie's prime stats and accomplishments are also better than Isiah's, so. . .tbh, he can't sit there and knock Pipp' just because he was on a team with MJ. Pippen was extremely important to the Bulls winning and I don't think they win any more than maybe 2-3 with an average replacement SF instead. My man Isiah is just salty here tbh. He doesn't have the right to disrespect Pippen. Pipp' is way underrated.

Dude, the worst player on dream team 1 was Christian Lattener. The worst on 2.0 was hall of famer Mitch Richmond. Not to mention the fact Bird was washed basically by then. He spent 95% of his time laying on the floor to stretch out his back. Dream Team 2.0 had Shaq, Hakeem, and Robinson at center. Dream team 1.0 had Robinson and Ewing. So, I mean remove Robinson from the equation and you're left with having Shaq and Hakeem or Patrick Ewing. I mean, Ewing is a legend and one of the better centers to ever play. But, he's not in the same tier as Hakeem and Shaq, period. Then I mean Grant Hill and Penny Hardaway pre injuries were only just like considered to be the new faces of the league. Still had Barkley, Stockton, Malone, and Pippen in the backend of their primes. Both Barkley and Pippen maybe lost half a step in athleticism but had become so much more complete as players. Better ball handlers, passers, expanded their offensive repertoire with better more consistent shooting from mid and 3pt range. And the cherries on top you have Gary Payton and Reggie Miller. Two agitators that were the best at getting under people's skin, talking non stop, and most annoyingly often backing up that talk with play that only got better in clutch time. Then, I mean Magic was still great but past nearing the end of his prime, had knee problems, and was dealing with forced early retirement due to just recently learning of his HIV diagnosis. Chris Mullins isn't better than anyone on the 96 team either. So I mean, the 96 team has just about everyone in their prime, had more depth and talent at every position, and the 96 versions of Stockton, Malone, Barkley, Pippen, and Robinson were all just as good if not better than they were in 92. Yes, 92 had Jordan and he's the goat but the 96 team is better in every other regard. More shooting, more size, more athleticism, more youth, more depth, and had more pressure on them as they had to follow up the most praised teams in any sport ever. So, the expectations were way higher while also playing at an Olympics that was held on home soil in Atlanta. If the 1996 team did anything but dominate their way to a gold they would've been labeled as one of the biggest disappointments in the history of sports.

Go ahead and look at the 91-92 All NBA First and Second Team 9/10 of them are in the Dream Team thats 9 out of the 11 spots and those two went to Magic and Bird. Even Kevin Johnson a point guard himself made the 90 91 and 92 All NBA teams and wasn't selected for the Dream Team are you going to claim Isiah deserved it over him given the form at the time ? And Kevin Johnson was averaging more points rebounds assists while shooting a better percentage but Isiah deserved the spot ? Also character matters when it comes to representing ones country.
@@cp3190 first of all it doesn’t seem like you were ever alive to see those guys play and I can if you did, simply saying stats and achievements doesn’t mean anything
I like Scottie Pippen but Isiah Thomas has a point here. He wasn’t the man on that team or one of the faces of NBA during that time. Bird, Magic, Jordan, Isiah, Hakeem were all faces of NBA during that time. Scottie was like Patrick Ewing, Gary Payton, Shawn Kemp, Alonzo Mourning, John Stockton, and others. Now are were several players who were between the two groups and they were Karl Malone, Dominique Wilkins, Reggie Miller, Charles Barkley, and Clyde Drexler.
That's not what Scottie said though. He never claimed that he was making an ultimatum, he just stated that he didn't want Isaiah on the team which implies other people didn't want him there either.
com4535 well Jordan told Phil Scottie was best player on that dream team. And one of the best coaches at the time said Pippen was the best player on that team too. Meaning Pippen was to be reckoned with that year. He deserved his spot and deserves to criticize Zeke leadership ability and teamwork ability.
I am a Isiah fan but did anyone just hear him say that the Best Player Ever is M Jordan... But when he talks now he has Jordan as 3rd behind LeBron and Kareem... That's how you know it's personal with him and Jordan
this clip alone tells you why he couldn't be on DT1. He's been feeling this way about all those DT1 players since 1990 and only says nice things about MJ because he knows the NBA world will ostracize him for it if he did anything like this about MJ.
Zeke can hate MJ all he want but still respect his game, Jordan also said he hates Zeke on tape multiple time but still respect him. What Zeke really trying to say is that beside those 3 legends, no one on that team is on Zeke level ( Hakeem and Malone eventually surpassed him but at that time Zeke was the 2 time champs now)
Think you're taking what isiah meant out of context. He's said Scottie PIPPEN in 1992 along with all those other guys other than Magic Bird and Jordan at 1992 should not have had the leverage to keep isiah out. Let's be honest Magic probably didn't want him on the team after all the personal stuff that happened between them and isiah Thomas starting a rumor he was gay allegedly. But in 1992 it's very important that you know that he and Scottie or anyone else on that team were not comparable in terms of stature, you're talking about the second best point guard ever Jordan's words. It's a reason why Jordan says that to save his ass because if Stockton was actually a better player than IT even tho he has all the stats to back it up, Jordan has to let it be known that Isiah was one of the best because isiah has a winning record and closed out Jordan so many times
@@NotSpider Because Bird was ready to retire, Magic was out for a year and MJ played a round of golf everyday with Daly and played cards all night in his room. Barkley is not on their level and even he admits it.

Even when healthy he never developed a consistent perimeter jumper and he never had one when he came back and played after injuries
Let's just say he coulda been a top 5 SF ever.
@@FuShengAlex yeah people over do it with the top 10 ever bit. Such an exclusive group guys like Kobe isnt even a consensus top 10 player (he’s in mine) so just shows how tough a group it is to get into. G Hill was well on his way to being maybe top 30 but we’ll never know.

@Ulysses432 Read your statement stupid you said:
"Pippen was the the second best player in the NBA after Jordan and Isiah WASN'T.". Pippen sat down like a bitch and bailed the final play. ruclips.net/video/QZhupKWCsEU/видео.html
You also said:
"Pippen was THE BEST PLAYER ON THE DREAM TEAM as said by the coaches, trainers and journalists." That's subjective I don't know what articles you were reading but Charles Barkley avg the most points on the team 2nd was Jordan. I dunno what you were watching but how could you possibly tell who was the best player when every game was decided by 30 pts or more.

Shaq forgot how Malone used to sweep him lol
