- The Fairly Oddparents was one of Nickelodeon's greatest shows. It had high ratings and was just an overall fun cartoon. But Nick cancelled it and there wasn't even a finale. So what happened? What ruined one of Nickelodeon's top shows?

Saberspark Hello
Saberspark yo.
Yay!
Saberspark I think I cracked the code of why Betty Cohen left Cartoon Network and why Christina Miller is ruining the network
keep it up saberspark!
I didn't mind Poof. Sparky was worthless. Chloe was the death blow.
Have no idea who sparky is, poof was a fun addition, what's with the girl Chloe tho
Agreed, I literally was gagging in a bad way when I saw Chloe and Sparky
Stop watching after Poof and Foop. Needless characters.
CHLOE SUCKSSSSS
Chloe>cancer>sparky>=
I liked poof, hated sparky, and had no idea that that girl existed.
Sparky was just Annoying! I had nooooooo idea that they ReMoVeD him from the show!
When I first saw him I was 1)wtf there’s dogs with magic? 2)wtf is this dog his story doesn’t make any sense 3)whyyyyyyy someone created this monstrosity 4)where’s poof he is a baby he shouldn’t leave his parents 5)wtf the fairy council doesn’t do anything about what sparky is doing
Agreed, they should have ended at season 8
I agree
Wait when they add a dog
Bruh, cosmo's old voice was h e a v e n l y.
Now it is just as ear-grating and annoying as the squeaky boots of SpongeBob.
I agree
He was a smart ass too .....

You mean... Tootie? Tootie, you mean Tootie?
Uh.. who is this Tootie person? I haven't really watched Fairly Oddparents before the Sparky dog even come. Only the first few seasons of Poof and then I grew up and isn't able to watch it anymore so I have no idea who this is you guys are talking about..
I guess I was kinda lucky to not see the slow descent of Fairly Oddparents. I still loved it though, one of my favorite cartoons alongside Courage the Cowardly Dog Show, Danny Phantom, Rugrats and etc. But hmm based on the way people are describing Fairly Oddparents, I dunno..
@@LilVeehive Tootie's been around since probably the very beginning. She's Vicky's little sister, the girl with black hair in pigtails and glasses, and is obsessed with Timmy.
@@terrytheteryx1240 oh!!! That girl! Sorry I totally forgot about her name. But yeah, I see now
I mean the only joy in her horrible life is that she likes Timmy. If they had to share the fairies, they could explore more of Tootie's character and she could start mellowing out.
Honesty Tootie would have made soo much sense and actully would have worked so well in my opion
Why have Timmy share fairies with a perfect girl like Chloe when they already had characters such as Chester and Tootie.
That would have been a much better dynamic. Chester even had his own fairy once (that genie guy I can't remember the name of)
Edit: thank you everyone for reminding me he's called Norm
@@coyraig8332 We were already made accustomed to Chester's style of wishing which was more generous than Timmy's, imagine that clashing on a daily basis with shared fairies? That would have been much better.
Could’ve sworn there was an episode where it was revealed Chester didn’t need fairies because his father truly loved him and made him happy despite his poor living conditions
Why did Timmy have to share even though there are fairies available in fairyworld, tHERES FAIRIES THERE THAT DIDNT DO NUFFIN BUT STAY IN FAIRY WORLD
@Crimson Fox And it would've been the possible reason that they got married and had kids in the future, like it was implied in the movie Channel Chasers?
Either a show dies good, or it lives long enough to see itself suck.
Good dead shows include Danny Phantom, ATLA, and Teen Titans.
+Mike Burnsy 99% sure that stands for "Avatar The Last Airbender".
Slashbash or, alternatively, a show that always sucked either lives to achieve great success among six year olds or dies in obscurity like it should.
MewMeori
Yup.
In my opinion either KND or Ed Edd n’ Eddy are good examples with a frankly amazing ending to it using a final movie like KND’s movie and the Ed Edd n’ Eddy’s Picture Show
Didn't Butch tell a voice actress that it was her fault that another actress committed suicide, and then he tried to say it was "just a joke" or something like that?
@Kawaiipony Productions That’s so awful, I cannot believe one human being would say that to another.
I assume he said that about Mary Kay Bergman, who was the voice of Timmy in the original Oh Yeah Cartoons pilots.
But yeah, that's a horrible thing to say.
Well Mary Kay Bergman Did die in 1999., however, I can't believe Butch Hartman would do such a thing.
@@okjeffy6581 you should look into butch Hartman some more. He's a very not great person.

There’s shows like this that go on for too long and don’t even have a grand finale, and then there’s shows like Gravity Falls that have the perfect finale, leaving you incredibly satisfied after only 2 seasons.
Yea the creator of Gravity Falls didn’t want it to go on for long. Since they were only staying for one summer. I’m pretty sure he wanted to end it after season 1 but I could be wrong.
@@crimson5689 3 seasons were originally planned but Hirsch decided to end it with 2 was the best move.

I often like to pretend that FOP ended after Channel Chasers, Spongebob getting cancelled after the 1st movie, The Simpsons ending after its 8th season, and Family Guy staying cancelled after its 3rd season.
I like to think the Simpsons ended after homers enemy
-and spongebob getting rebooted at season 9?-

@@danielogipl7051 Agreed
I'm fine with that. I would've been sad that they ended, but better than going on for too long.
I agree with the spongebob one, no matter how long the show goes on for, in my heart that show will end with the first movie
I was lucky. I lost interest before Sparky was introduced. I personally adored Poof, and the Anti-Fairies shenanigans were the highlight of certain episodes for me.
Sparky is where I lost interest. Poof and Foop were some of the best parts to the show. Along with the other characters like Jorgen, Timmy's parents, Vicky, Mr. Crocker, and even that darth vader rip off guy was fun. I think the arrival of sparky really weighed the show down from there.
Yeah, I was surprised about the dog and I tried watching an episode with it, let's just say I turned the tv off
I LOVED THE ANTI FAIRIES
Anti fairies x poof >sparky x tina turner
I'll take poof becausemy daughter loves poof..other characters sorta cringey if u ask me. 🤷🏿♂️
Yeah same
The main audience didn’t disappear, they hit puberty and grew up
I still enjoy the older episodes.
They should've just done what Family guy did. End it and just do reruns.
Exactly why I stopped watching but I still love the show and it's older days
That doesn't change the fact that the audience dissappeared
Not exactly true. Im a nostalgia freak and love watchung old shows from my childhood cuz tv sucks now. I watch old episodes with my kids expecially nick and Disney becasue I feel like alot of the show's have better messages then they do now
Here's how it should have ended. Wishology was introduced as a new season but it should have been introduced as the series finale instead. After beating the darkness, Jorgen gave Timmy a choice where Timmy should keep his fairies but everyone forgot about him being the hero or Timmy stays popular forever but loses his godparents. Timmy wants to sacrifice everything for his fairies but Cosmo, Wanda, and Poof decide to let Timmy be popular as Timmy says goodbye to his fairies in an emotional scene. Timmy now has everything but he got his memory erased from having fairies but still had his earth folks loving him. Vicky is now a better babysitter. Mr. Crocker became a better teacher. Francis stops bullying him. His enemies are now his allies. Trixie is his girlfriend. His parents are now better. Timmy helps his friends became popular. He went from an average kid that no one understands to a boy who will now have an amazing life and beyond. He marries Trixie and have kids like in Channel Chasers where we see his kids. Jorgen introduces a statue of Timmy Turner labeled as the greatest godkid of all time honoring him in fairly world.
god ending
genuinely seeing cosmo and wanda and poof go would be too much for me
that would have been a great series finale
blud make this a fanfic
I loved Poof, there were only a few of the later episodes about him that didn't appeal to me but I really stopped watching when they introduced Sparky. Tried watching ONE episode with Chloe. Didn't make it past the new theme song.
Yup. Me too
I don't understand why they felt the need to add Chloe when Tootie was right there already?? She also had a shitty life and she was there in the show from the start, Timmy had a connection with her and people who watched the show knew her already. Nobody would have had a problem with Timmy having to share Cosmo and Wanda with Tootie
Agree
TheAkwarium I agree. And don't forget, they already had an episode where Timmy shares his fairies WITH Tootie. So, why not build upon that, and make Tootie a more developed character at the same time?! That would've been like killing 2 birds with one stone!! The idea was practically gifted to them, but the idiots at Nick DIDN'T take it?! What, were they THAT stupid?! And, the episode where Timmy shares his fairies with Tootie was one of my favorite episodes, as it shows that Timmy is maturing a bit as a person, and helping out someone who REALLY needs it. So, why NOT have Timmy and Tootie grow closer, and share Cosmo and Wanda as well? I mean, am I crazy here? Is it just me? Well, have a great day/night, and remember to stay beautiful.
@@shawnfields2757 that was exactly my thought, that would have been the perfect opportunity to develope them both as characters and have them both starting to like each other. Also Timmy realizing Tootie isn't some crazy girl and starting to be nice to her and genuinely being her friend. What a missed opportunity. The moment they introduced Chloe I was like "okay, but what about Tootie? where's she?"
TheAkwarium That was EXACTLY what I was trying to say, dude. Also, I like Tootie, she's relatable, especially to me. Except, I'm a guy, and I'm an only child, but, growing up with my cousin, Trisha, who stole my stuff, right in front of her parents, her mom, my aunt maria, spoiled her, and her dad, my Uncle Benny(who sadly died a few years ago), couldn't do anything either. Me, my mom and dad were forced to endure her torture for a long time. Plus, I also have glasses, and I'm nerdy. Never had braces though, but from what I've heard, they hurt hard. One time, I even made Trisha cry when I scratched her braces, and her mom got so pissed, she chased me back to my room, where I outran her, and slammed the door in Maria's face. Even my mom and dad were proud of that, though I wouldn't do that to someone with braces. I agree, would've given more devolpment to Timmy and Tootie, making Timmy realize Trixie ISN'T the girl he really wanted to be with, because she's vapid, and only cares about flashy, glamorous things, and Timmy would've matured ad a person. And as for Tootie, this could be her chance to see another side to Timmy, and make her realize WHAT exactly made her fall in love with Timmy, which reminds me of another romance, Hinata and Naruto. Because it's very similar to Timmy and Tootie. They both end up together, it's seen in the conclusion to both shows, well, the Naruto Shippuden movie: The Last, but still, it happened. And, it could've given us, the audience, more insight on what Tootie's life is like and how exactly she deals with having to live with Vicky everyday of her life, and how overcoming her fear, she becomes stronger, and THAT'S probably what she learned from Timmy, and probably why she loves him, similar to why Hinata loves Naruto. Sorry for the tangents about my life and Naruto, but I saw a comparison there. I'm probably the only one who does though. Thanks for your input too, and thanks for agreeing with me on this as well, dude. You're cool. I stopped watching BEFORE they introduced the stupid annoying voiced dog and Ms. Perfect. Which is too bad, because I normally LIKE Kari Whalgren and the sound of her voice and work. It's just not the same without Aj, Chester, Mr. Crocker, Dinkelburg, Princess Mandie, and Mark Chang, and ESPECIALLY Tootie. And maybe the Crimson Chin... just saying.
Shawn Fields no offense I agree with you but you didn’t have to tell us your whole backstory of your life

They should’ve ended the show sooner. They could have made it heartbreaking by making a scene where Timmy has to grow up and leave Cosmo and Wanda, ending the show.
Last one I remember watching was the one where Timmy's parents like *legit* found out about Cosmo & Wanda: "Meet the OddParents" (the finale of Season 8... Which turns out was literally RIGHT before Sparky was introduced, how about that). Currently haven't seen any of it since.
Honestly: I guess I should be glad I lost interest and jumped ship where I did, because it sounds like that would've been an ideal place to stop the show overall, considering....

Poof: aw cute!
Sparky: ummm okay...

So true
Lol right
Should have ended after Poof.
Poof was a good choice, honestly. A new character after a few seasons with the same 3 main characters freshened it up.
But then the dog and the Mary Sue-
Hhhhhugghh
Poof: Cute! Kinda pointless, but cute!
Foop: Again, pointless but he has his moments.
Sparky: Literally just Cosmo, but as a dog. And more annoying.
Chloe: A boring, bland Mary Sue. Only good thing she did was put this show out of it's misery.
No wonder the show ended up with so many unnecessary characters the man had to write an ending 5 times and then make a reason on why it kept going after the big event.
When poof came I was like "oh okay, unexpected but cute even kind of fun" then the dog came and I was like "oh- no thanks- but you know what? I can stand it" but then Chloe came and I lost my shit, she is completely annoying and added nothing to the story but to make it boring, take the dog and mar sue out -.-
You’re right.
There is nothing miserable about Chloe. I hear she has fairies because she sometimes messes up, according her to Chloe. That could happen true, but doesn’t she have her biological parents for that? Doesn’t she have parents that can make everything happen for since they’re so perfect instead of Timmy having to share his fairies with Chloe? The writers had no common sense when it came to season 10. If Chloe was smart, she would’ve declined the offer of having fairies. It would’ve made much more sense.
@@ikennakonkwo5939 Chloe is smart because she already has access to fairy magic of her own besides having Cosmo and Wanda as her god parents, but she wouldn't want to take them from Timmy, the only reason she needs them is so that she can take their wands and that's the right move for Chloe because with a fairy's wand she can wish for anything she wants.
@@Poof-is9mkI get it cause it's the wand that has the magic and not the fairy. Chloe must know already how they work otherwise she wouldn't want to take their wands.
@@Poof-is9mk You're smart Poof.
It's shows like this that really make me appreciate what Avatar The Last Airbender did. They ended the show on a high note and didn't drag it out further, and thus will always be remembered fondly.
They really missed their chance to end the show on Channel Chasers. That was the perfect capstone to FOP: Timmy realized that without Vicky he wouldn't be miserable and wouldn't have been assigned fairy godparents, and showed a future where he's married to Tootie or Trixie, having kids of his own, and them being the Fairy Godchildren of Wanda and Cosmo.

Franchise fatigue and the internet will, in time, ruin all shows. Kids aren't watching this anymore and are too busy on other things. I use to love it when I was younger but...oh well.
And yet, garbage like 'Jerry Springer', 'Maury Povich', and 'TMZ' continue to exist despite the rise of RUclips, and Netflix.

For me, the ending of The Fairly Oddparents was when Vicky and Timmy had those remotes that took them to different channels/realities. Timmy gives up Cosmo and Wanda and is all grown up. And in the end we see that Cosmo and Wanda are fairies to Timmy's kid.
That shit brought tears into my eyes. Should've ended there..

Yeah I am one of those original fans that ditched the show after Poof’s arrival. That’s when things started going downhill. A couple years later and found out about Sparky and then Chloe. Hoping the show got better but nope. Only got worse. Bothered me that Timmy could have wished for more fairies but the writers did not do that. Bothered me that Chloe who is perfect was allowed fairies? She was loved by everyone, she never had a reason to frown except for pointless things. She did not live in a troubled life. Why was someone with no reason to have fairies had fairies?
I thought Vicky would remain
Tootie whould have Been Perfect
I watched Chloe and yes peolpe loved her and everything but mentally she is broken.
poof was good but once sparky came that’s when it REALLY went downhill and i kinda stopped watching and then one day i saw Chloe and that’s when it became trash
Dude Poof was fine. He was mostly there in the background. The true downfall of the show was when most of the episodes became about Timmy's Dad and Crocker alongside with continuity errors, rehash of old plots, more of flanderization and the disappearance of most secondary characters. This reason was due to the new writing staff Ray DeLaurentis & Will Schifrin wanting episodes about them. Those guys were already infamous for working on bad cartoons before Butch hired them to work on this show in s7-10.

Julia Yohe I agree. I also stopped watching before the stupid dog and annoying girl arrived and finished off The Fairly OddParents. I stopped around the time Drake was in the live action movies. I actually didn't mind the live action movies too much. The acting was good. But, it's sad to see how Fairly OddParents ended and deteriorated year after year. They should've let Channel Chasers be the end of the show, dude. I'm glad I missed out on the dog and girl on the show. And I'm glad I didn't get to see Fairly OddParents degrade and it was quietly cancelled. I'm not glad it was cancelled, because I'm a longtime fan, I was there, when it debuted, ALL the way back in 2001. I was 7 back then. Man, this cancellation was more like a mercy kill. It's a shame that I'm glad one of my favorite shows is gone. I NEVER thought I'd say that about The Fairly OddParents, not EVER. It'd be like me being happy Pokemon was cancelled, just not possible, dude/lady. Well, for me there's still reruns of SpongeBob, and The Loud House. Which are still good shows, and I hope they'll get proper conclusions, which is something The Fairly OddParents simultaneously DID AND DIDN'T have at the same time. How does that even happen? Well, have a great day/night, and remember, to stay beautiful, but I'm sure you're doing a great job.
Preach! I honestly didn't mind Poof at first and thought he'd bring something new to show. He was WAAAAY more tolerable than Dil on Rugrats.
But then... Sparky came. And he was very rarely relevant to the plot and often went off and did his own thing. So it's like, "Why are you here?"
I love Poof! One of the best episodes! They murdered poof as a character. Made his voice awful!
The voice acting started slacking I thought. You couldn’t tell the difference between cloe and Timmy’s voice. Cosmos voice got really awful! Vicky and the dad’s voice’s got really bad as well. And Timmy’s voice was also annoying.
I liked poof, I thought he was a she but no poof is a dud

This show was my childhood, the Christmas specials, the darkness storyline episodes. All awesome. But I lost interest when they introduced the new girl.

2. Cable channel merchandise it
3. The fan base becomes more mature and stopped buying merchandise
4. Cable channel realized this, so they removed all developments of the show story and tries to make it appeal to kids
5. Majority of fan base stopped watching
6. The show’s dead
It's partly the parents of the kids faults for being overprotective of their kids. Trying to shield anything they think is too "violent" for their kids so those kids don't enjoy what the mature audience are watching. They don't buy merch for those shows and the network tries to make the show seem "suitable" for the kids.
7. Some studio producer decided that the show needs a reboot and grabs some new staff
Pretty much the same process that killed the Real Ghost Busters

@@Commenter839 Well, what's his cause of death? An accident? Sickness?

The reason that character voices change over time is that voice actors try to match the pitch up with what they hear when they watch the show, it usually isn't done on purpose, as a recorded voice sounds different than when you're speaking live.
@@tspopstar512 it doesnt match his personality
Season 1-8 was fine even when Poof was introduced in season 6 but his anti-fairy Foop was the scene stealer but kept the cartoon balanced...but Season 9-10 was the main offenders, Sparky was close to becoming a (Marty Stu) he did help Timmy at times but he causes problems often...but Nickelodeon's idea of a (Mary Sue) Chloe was the last straw for the show and the with the main and recurring characters were flanderized or disappeared with out an ending to the show itself since she appeared... As far as I'm concerned, Channel Chasers is the finale. Not that there aren't good episodes after that one, but it just works so well as a finale.
Same. It was the most fitting for a finale, and in some ways I'm kind of disappointed the series didn't actually end there.
ah, that was the episode where they had to travel through all the tv channels, right? I vaguely remember liking that one very much
It put a great cap on the series. Timmy has to accept that some day he'll have to grow up eventually. He can't be an irresponsible little kid with fairies forever, and when that time comes, he'll lose Cosmo and Wanda. In my opinion Channel Chasers is the best Nickelodeon tv movie but I haven't seen it in a while. Maybe its the nostalgia googles.
Jacob Hill I remember as a kid, I thought to myself this ending for Fairy Odd Parents. The ending made sad. Later on, I found out the show is still continued, but Fairy Odd Parents became a hallow version of itself.

What’s intreresting is that butch actually left the show before the season ended. You can tell because of how the final episodes were rendered.
Instead of butch’s iconic drawing design, nickelodeon tried doing the rest of the season in flash, making the characters look more plastic and replacing the characters sharp movements with more bouncy and floaty ones, with heavy emphasis on bouncy. Seriously, every time a character turned around, they would for some reason compress themselves and bounce like they were made of jelly.
Butch is actually an inspiration to me and i hope to be an animator like him.

I honestly thought that chloe was...THE WORST
She was a huge brat! More of a brat than timmy, he could be a brat sometimes but chole...she was a brat ALL the time
I loved poof though, hes adorable
I didnt really care for sparky
She's like a American version of Chloé Bourgeois! 😒😒😒😒😒😒
@ Rose Petunia Yeah, but I can at least tolerate THAT Chloe. At least her show acknowledges that she’s a brat, and at least when she fails I can laugh at her incompetence. She isn’t given any special treatment- she’s always called out on her BS, and rarely gets away with anything anymore.
THIS one I can’t stand. The writers treat her like a princess, and she gets away with EVERYTHING. It’s just not fun to watch. I’ll take Chloe Bourgeois over Chloe Carmichael any day. At least I can laugh at her total failure to do even the simplest of tasks. And at least she actually HAS a character!
Rose Petunia mhm
シhxneyynezuko Mhm indeed. As if Chloé Bourgeois wasn’t bad enough, the writers of FOP decided to take that character, put her on crack, chop 2-3 years off her, and give her the charisma of a plank of wood. Oh, I almost forgot that they also gave her the vocal patterns of a Chipmunk on helium.
@A Random Dude Well, you’re HALF right. Truthfully, Butch didn’t want her in the show. The Nickelodeon executives forced him to put her into the show. We don’t really know why, but Fairly Odd Parents serves as a perfect example of what happens when executives meddle too much woth something they don’t understand.
To me the decline started way back after season 3. Characters like Crocker, Trixie and Vicky were given motivation and reasons for what they do and how they act. After season 3 I noticed that those characters were being cudgeled into being one dimensional, for the sake of wacky scenarios and funny characters.

I hated seeing her for the first time that's why I stopped watching it like 4 years ago
And Sparkey
Poof was actually a pretty good addition for me. I started losing interest when sparky got in the franchise. I fully lost interest when Chloe got in. (She was annoying tbh)
Things that I noticed, ever since the show has progressively gotten worse, the less we got to see the original characters, AJ and Chester. (They were good characters)
Nick just ruined the show.
Chester and AJ aren't even in the show because the voice's couldn't voice them anymore.
@@pajomayo6146 now they are just backround characters

Chloe was absolutely horrible. She doesnt even deserve to have fairies
I don't really care about Chloe's character I just didn't like the idea of her sharing fairies with Timmy.
Real shame that butch himself has seemed to deteoriate himself as a person with the years as well. He has some very off opinions about some things like "depression isn't real, stop being sad and mopey", and "introverts are selfish they just think about themselves"

Channel Chasers was the finale anyways. Have a great day/night, dude.
You seem really nice just saying have a good night...:)
Makes me smile for some reason lol
Chloe was basically forced feminism
* Sparky left
Same reason here
My primary question: with Chloe being so positive and not showing anything negative about her life, why did she need fairies in the first place with the context given from the show. If anyone deserved fairies it’s Tootie. Yes she almost blew it once but obviously Cosmo and Wanda couldn’t do it themselves. A different one or even pair maybe a better chance. Still messed up
Mindy Auron she had “AnXiEtY”
Yeah aren’t fairies meant to only help kids that are in need. They just broke Da Rules just to get more viewers
Exactly!
Watch the first ep of that version the explanation is ther :P
They did explain it (terribly of course) they said when she messes up she feels really bad. They showed this in a flashback where she couldn’t stop a monster from destroying a city. It felt half baked and not at all deserved though
It's so weird watching old videos without the *ding* at the beginning of the intro XD
“Family friendly content is a taboo concept.”
What? Can someone explain this to me?
In some countries, when children hit puberty, it is a common thing to not want to have familiar entertainment, because they assume it means they are not grown up enough to watch something else. This is the reason of shows like "South Park" and "The Simpsons", being so popular with that age group. I don't know why an adult would have a problem with that.
Poof never bothered me, i personally liked the edition of him. But Sparky and Chloe ruin the show. Also they removed all the other loveable characters like his friends.
Janelle Hamilton I like sparky
I feel the same way. Poof seemed like a perfect edition.
Janelle Hamilton: babies are annoying tho
I have so many questions like what happened to Poof? Why did Chloe need fairy godparents? Where did Chester and AJ go? And why didn't they have a crossover episode with Danny Phantom?
The Platypus Thanks
It was second only to Spongebob, and in many ways more clever. The show went in the wrong direction when Sparky was introduced. I mean fine, if you want a pet type character sure. But why not be more ambitious about it? Why not a different type of mystic creature? Why another type of fairy that was shaped like a dog? Pretty lazy.
And yes, Chloe was the worst and most unnecessary addition. Not to mention when she came along there was no more Tooty and Sparky vanished without one mention just like that. Really got self destructive that last season. Sad way to go.
Vernon Smith a very sad way and I agree😫 I was born in 2007 and even I know that the new episodes suckkkkk... Poof was cute, Sparky, I wasn’t really a fan, and Chloe, NO❤️
I was born in 2011 and I never actually saw it air on Nickelodeon and I only ever watched it on RUclips sometimes
I low key think that Chloe was/is an executive's daughters self insert character for FoP, that he/she saw a drawing of, took the character to Butch and basically told him to add this character but was told not to do anything interesting with her and make her practically perfect in every way. XP
I probably wouldn't hate Sparky if his voice wasn't so Obnoxious.
I didn't rlly hate sparky in the first place, I was just somehow annoyed of his dumb attitude and maybe his voice. And also chloe, I just hate how they added her in and made Timmy share fairies with her.
I will say that even in Season 10 the episodes where still pulling in high ratings. It wasn't until it was moved to NICKToons where the rating dipped.
I feel like if NICK didn't purposefully kill the show it would have still gone on to this day with even worse episodes and I feel like this was one of the few times that NICK moving a cartoon to NICKToons to die actually benefited them
The fairly odd parents made me want to create my own shows and helped me get into art. It was sad to watch it slowly rot into mush over the seasons-

To be honest I feel like poof didn’t make the show decline in popularity but Chloe did. Poof was just a new cute addition to the odd family plus he wasn’t annoying nor was he there throughout all of the shows,he was just a reoccurring side character that would just pop up time to time.Sparky was there for like 4 episodes,he was annoying but it wasn’t that bad because like I said he was never there. Chloe on the other hand was constantly annoying and always in the way,she replaced poof,Chester, and AJ. The reason why the creators didn’t finish with a finale is probably because the series had a decline in popularity and he probably didn’t want to deal with the show anymore

i feel like myself, along with most viewers, remember the introduction of poof, but not of sparky. i think it might just be that all the kids outgrew the show.
I didn't watch Sparky's debut. I was going to but i thought why FOP is introducing a new character once every five years or so.
I actually liked Poof. I actually had no idea they introduced Sparky and Chloe because the Nick in my country only aired reruns of the older seasons. I don't think I've even seen any episode featuring Chloe or Sparky whenever I was on that channel to watch the show, mostly for the nostalgia.
While poof wasn't that bad, I think he was the downfall of the series. That's when it became obvious that the producers were reaching for content. Chloe seemed basically put the nail in the coffin for most of us. It's a good series that could have ended years ago.
I remember when poof was introduced and still enjoyed the show but around that time I kind of started to get older and stopped watching television as well
drippin101 I didn’t watch much TV back in high school myself. Most of the time between homework time, I was on the computer researching for fun or being here on RUclips. That’s how I lost track of time with this show.
"He went to CalArts." Ah that explains everything
Sparky is like the Scrappy-Doo of this show. I can think of a few ways the series could've done better. Ending the series on the Channel Chasers episode, say what you want, it's the best episode on the show and the perfect opportunity to end on a high note. Cosmo and Wanda separated for Timmy and Chloe (one fairy each), a sort of divorced family approach. I feel like this could open good windows for the show. This next one might be just for me, following different kids with different fairy godparents. I think you can do way more with different characters than the main cast ever could. (Like those anthology shows and stuff that follow a different character each season)
after the dog came I left forever. seeing a commercial about the girl coming I left the planet itself tbh

I wish networks would maintain a selection of great shows, rather than focusing on one while the others whither, and then having to panic when their top choice starts to decline.
The problem with TheFairlyOddParents' ending is that it didn't know when to call it quits. Take Gumball for example, that show knew exactly when it was time to go and so it did gracefully. It will probably even have a big movie conclusion. The reason TheFairlyOddParents didn't have a good conclusion or even a conclusion at all is because the show was too centered on going on forever wheras Gumball was planning on its ending for a very long time, having the episodes before the last one foreshadow an end to the series by breaking some of the loops that seemed consistent throughout the entire show.
Fairly Odd Parents gets more characters than Smash Ultimate. Except nobody asked for the newcomers.

Poof - Really cute. I didn't mind him until he learned to speak. Then he became iffy.
Foop - Hilarious, but it felt like they shoehorned Anti-Cosmo and Anti-Wanda just for him, and he went downhill also after Poof started talking.

Sparky - I found him boring and really just a roadblock for the show.
Chloe - For GOD'S SAKE Chloe was obnoxious!! She felt like someone who was just thrown in to be everything Timmy wasn't!

Murdering this show.
Season 1-4 will always be my favourite.
Same. Season 5 is where the show fell off and got bad at Season 7 and worst at seasons 9 and 10.
My number one problem with the show was how Cosmo and Wanda changed over the seasons.
I loved Cosmo in the very beginning he was charming, madly in love with his wife, and suave. Then they dumbed him down a bit but he still loved Wanda more than anything ("I'm not bright. Big words confuse me. I have the attention span of a rodent, and Wanda loves me anyway! And that should be enough for you!"), which was okay. I liked the change in character, he was still loveable and the right amount of goofy. Then, over time, Cosmo became a nuisance and embarrassment.
Wanda started off as a considerate and worrisome, but overall was wholesome and treated her husband as well as he treated her. Then, she became a little naggy, a little more motherly, which I understood and was okay with. Then they flat out made "naggy" her only character trait and constantly talked about her "nagging" in the show.
Queen Remains somebody else understands me :). When Cosmo and Wanda’s relationship changed, the show did too.
Their relationship was what hooked me too... Even as a child.
Queen Remains You just described a marriage
Queen Remains, this is such a good comment.@@TheseGoodVibesOnly The change in a relationship is one thing, but Cosmo and Wanda have been married for a hell of a long time, and just got an untertaining character change.
Kinda reminds me how the creator of Gravity Falls said he would have to remind writers that Mabel and Dipper do not hate each other, sibling rivalry and hating was not their dynamic. Or how Ed, Edd and Eddy's creator made a character sheet for plank, so the artists would not try to change it's expression all the time. The just remember that... Cosmo is dumb, or Wanda is a wife, and write only around that.
Now that you mentioned it, it does sound like that. The pilot Cosmo sounds like a suave loving charming husband just like you said! Then his voice gets higher and higher as his iq goes lower
