If I fire could the staff and replaced it with more competent writers I would've spent more time and energy on actually telling a good story and humor than focus on mocking fans of the OG. Seriously the way they respond to criticisn is that they act like the kids they're targeting

When the premise was 'We want a show kids enjoy, but parents don't feel like they are going to pull their hair out.' No joke, alot of shows I grew up with, many writers say this was the idea. A show both can like to some extent. Disney does this all the time with their movies, and you don't hear them saying 'Cartoons are for kids'. For all their faults, Disney actually cares about both it's audiences in the sense they don't insult them by calling them 'weird' for liking a kids show.
It's been a good 5 to 7 years since I heard that intro and the only downside is cartoon network made it dumb I honestly wish that they bring back the old series I used to watch it for a long time god I miss it.

I’m just as entitled to dislike it, as you are to like it. And it’s not that it’s “not like the old show”. My grandmother would leave the TV on for the dogs when they were alone and the channel was always Boomerang. Everytime I came downstairs they'd be watching Teen Titans Go and I'd look at them and say, "I'm so sorry..."

I remember when I was a huge Ben 10 fan. It was always frowned apon to be a girl fan of a supposedly boy show but I didn’t care what anyone else thought, I loved the show; The characters (well the villains mostly) and the alien designs. Ben and Gwen were a bit too irritating. I did like Alien force for a while but then I just gave up and went back to watching the original. I watched a few minutes of the reboot and felt no emotions, so just turned it off and moved on.
I disagree with this because when I was younger serious shows like the original teen titans made me cry or is be really bored most kids nowadays like cartoons that are not serious at all. Edit: Please stop replying to this I was a stupid child back then, this is three years old, please stop.
The problem with Teen Titans Go was that it tapped on Teen Titans - it would be perfectly fine if this was an original show without twisting characters who were loved by many. As it is - it can't help but feel like 'theft' 'betrayal' or something.
Not really. This show is terrible without knowing the original Teen titans eighter. The disgusting bathroom humor, the pointless story of the episodes, the unsightly behaviors of the characters and the bad moral what they teach to the viewers is easily noticable and can give you *very strong* reason to hate this cartoon. Remember when Robin wasn't a controlling, spoiled, downright unlikable Dictator of a Superhero, who wasn't a perfect hero, but he not only tried to be a good leader, but a good friend? Remember when Starfire tried to learn about her new home planet, instead of just being naive about it? Remember when Cyborg didn't need to scream like a Banshee almost every time he talks just because he's part-machine? Remember when Raven didn't want to be like her Father Trigon and tried to control her emotions, instead of being such a violent bully to everyone? Remember when Beast Boy was goofy every now and then, but that was *NOT HIS ENTIRE IDENTITY?* And he would put his silly habits aside to be a good ally to the team? Remember when There was effort and care put into the art style and animation, and the characters didn't need to look like cheap Happy Meal Toys? Remember when Villains like Slade, Trigon, The Hive 5, Blackfire, Brother Blood, etc. were actual threats and didn't feel like watered-down grumpy neighbors? Remember when besides comedy, There was a story to tell, and the heroes did Not Need to be absolutel jerks to each other to get the audience's attention? Remember when Terra was *MORE* than just a Traitor?!? Remember when overall, There was more to being a Teen Titan than just driving each other crazy and making silly faces? Can we please just go back to those days?

Inky Face Did you watch the video? The bit about CN checking the pulse of the industry and finding that viewers want funny shows rather than action shows is a pretty big reason for the shift. Times change, people's tastes change and companies have to keep that in mind and provide a product that people want. It isn't all profit driven, though that IS the bottom line. The CN and Warner Bros execs aren't the soulless, money grubbing humanshapes people seem to be making them out to be. They're businesses, and businesses have to go where trends take them to succeed.
1. There both reboots of beloved shows. 2. They both scrap any action for stupid comedy to appeal to 5-10 year olds. 3. Similar cheap animation styles 4. No respect or very little respect for the original source material. 5. People who don't put effort into making the reboot just as good if not better than the original (KIND OF THE WHOLE IDEA OF A REBOOT DON'T YOU THINK).
What makes me angry is that the Titans are supposed to be role models. They're superheroes. Every kid wants to be them. Yet now they're whiny brats who shouldn't appeal to anybody. :/

Hell, its overall numbers are slipping very fast. Even young kids have a tolerance ceiling, even if it's as tall as a working space elevator. Blame Miller and Vishnu(?) for the scheduling, the latter did the same shit in CN India (according to sources)
The original series had such inspiring episodes. Cyborg and Raven was given the best character development in the series. Robin used to be such a badass. Beast Boy had his goofy scenes but even he knew when to take things more serious. Starfire had her fair share of development. Slade, Brother Blood, and Trigon was major threats in the series and all three of them affected the characters emotionally and traumatizing. The show even got TV movie for fuck sake. *Now look at what we got.*
Funny thing, in the comics, Brother Blood is a cult leader who worships Trigon. Slade's just a mercenary. Two of his kids join the Titans. One of th even has a thing for Nightwing. Trigon, they mostly get right, but Raven can't lose control of her emotions amd definitely can't kill someone or he'll be released. So naturally she's forced to kill a bunch of HIVE mooks called drones (Get it? Bee motif?) and then Trigon attacks. Also, those grayscale clones fight them one on one, and it's more internal: "You abandoned Batman. Jason is too weak. Go back to Gotham before something happens." "Everyone around you dies. These friends will as well." "Your responsibilities are with your people. Return to Tamaran." "You're such a coward, you won't even tell your friends you're dying." "Don't you wish you were still fully human? More machine than man. Pathetic." "Your husband is weak, like all men. Return to Themyscira." Fun fact: The end of the multiverse actually happened on Nightwing's 20th birthday.
Well it is ttg robin personally i think they should kill pff all the characters bring in new ones that have zero to do with the old show and older fans would be placated true we wouldnt be getting season 6 of the actual teen titans but at least there wouldn't be a walking, breathing abomination in its place
Honestly, I wouldn’t mind this show if one of two things happened: 1) The humor wasn’t so stupid and loud and obnoxious. If they’d put a little more thought into the humor and tried a little bit with the characters, this show wouldn’t be that bad. 2) This just wasn’t Teen Titans. Seriously. If they branded this show as anything else and didn’t use the characters of the original series, I wouldn’t mind this show very much at all.
I understand if they can't afford to continue the original series, but at least give some closure, release some comics or post some storyboard, just something to not leave it in a cliff hanger
I think its interesting that you avoided TTG manipulation. “The Return of Slade” was clearly an attempt to draw in older fans to teach them a lesson about nostalgia and enjoying stuff not meant for you. If they kept their distance and did there own thing itd be one thing, but the fact that they seem to go out of their way to give older fans the middle finger in some episodes is not helping the series’ reputation.
When I first watched that episode, I really thought there would be a cool yet silly fight scene between the Titans and Slade but then they never show him or the fight between him and the Teen Titans. They built him up at the start of the episode and the "pay off" (which was just the Titans showing off his mask and bragging about how 'cool' the fight was) was nothing short of a huge let down. I watched the OG series as a kid and gave TTG a chance when it started airing, but "The Return of Slade" just left a bad taste in my mouth.
You know, I don't think it taught them a lesson at all. Teaching a lesson would be that we understand your pain. Not, you all are stupid get over it. It's funny really, back then people WANTED cartoons to be for both adults and kids to enjoy. Now, with this generation, it's 'no cartoons are for kids' like WTF happened?
The newest episode which is the reason that I will never watch Teen Titans Go ever again (I don't know why I watched it in the first place but it might have been because a few years ago actually like the show and I didn't want to give it up despite the fact that it's blatantly bad) it's an episode about the Titans getting excited about a reboot of their favorite show Thunder Cats. It was rebooted as Thunder Cats Roar. It went from an action with anime-like animation to a comedy with a more cartoon like animation. The teen titans are portrayed as irrational for not liking the show and not giving the show a chance. Then at the end people that don't like "thunder Cats Roar" are poop. That is the word they used and what more did I expect. I didn't even watch the original show and I wanted to shoot the TV for not respecting the opinions of others. I didn't watch the original show, I did give the new show a chance and I can see that it's shit. Everyone with eyes can see that the show is shit

I loved all the main characters, men and women, because they were well written and had depth, not because of their gender. They literally have female characters/protagonists on the goddam cover of the show and expect girls/females not to get attached? I never felt like Go was an affront to the fans, but to the characters. Teen Titans had characters with heart. They seemed to have real weight and life to them. Go took the same characters, and transformed them into lifeless jokes on legs. Returning voice acting only makes it worse, as it makes it harder to disassociate the two from one another.

I think Teen Titans GO was created by a bunch of idiots who assumed that people would find poop and fart jokes funny. Then they paired it with lifeless characters and shitty animation (compared to Teen Titans), and now here we are, with a show that has already died, but instead of retiring the show, they made it the only fucking show they ever seem to broadcast now.

Not only did they take the older generations show and turn into a terrible joke,it took everybody else’s childhood shows on there and stopped playing them for Go.

The enemy of the people is the fact that they show the same show the same episodes every single day. I would not mind TTG if it were not for the fact I've seen the same episodes 50 something times and there are some I've seen once. I'd also really love to see other shows as well, and not just the Amazing World of Gumball (good show).

I wasn’t lucky enough to see the OG teen titans, only Go. But I’ve googled parts of episodes, some clips and sneak peeks and I think the OG is 100% better

I have no issue with TT being more comedic. Taking a fresh approach yet still keeping a semi-serious story in there is generally amazing. However TTG is nothing but crude, offensive, idiotic "humor" that isn't really even that funny and does more harm to the show for 90% of viewers that are older than 10. That's why I hate TTG. I also tried to go in thinking of the show as an alternate reality or something. It didn't help. The terrible jokes and visually jarring animation just created too much of an inability to enjoy even a single episode, much less a full series.
I really agree, I would have been upset with the change but could have forgiven and enjoyed it....if it was funny. It really REALLY isn't though even the whole "viewing it as an alternate reality" doesn't help, because lack of pregidous doesn't help the lack of quality. which keeps TTG in my list of most hated show. The jokes themselves don't even have substance and are vapid and annoying instead. The animation and art is not even jarring in a good way, the entire show looks and feels like something someone threw together in ms paint because they were bored and they wanted to make something to annoy their friend. All of this is made even sadder by the fact that I in my late teens, still un ironically watch the air buddies franchise can't find any humor in that show.

The people involved with Go seem to be under the very rude and disrespectful perspective that if you hate their show, you are therefore just bathing in nostalgia for the awesomeness of the original-a "hater" all the same. For the record, being too different from the original show wasn't what sunk this show for good for me. It's different but that's also to be expected. I don't harp on a different version of comic book stories for being. . .different. If I did, I would have missed out on some of the best stories, each with their own uniqueness and specialties. So to think many people would simply scorn and sneer at a different adaptation of a comic book is simply laughable-most people don't.Most people won't. It's unfair to criticize different versions just for being different-BUT it is perfectly FAIR in order to criticize it based on how well it does by itself and how well it maintains the core essence of the original story. In both aspects, Go fails miserably. So miserable, it only sinks into the mud and nearly drowns itself screaming. This show is just simply disrepectful and I'm not entirely sure exactly to who. . .it's that bad. It's disrespectful to the original 2003 show (which for all intents and purposes, was for Teen Titans as to what Batman: The Animated series was to Batman, and you certainly NEVER have any smug prick behind a new show mouth off over that one. . .). It's disrespectful to its own source material. (Raven in Go seems to just be an angsty daughter too embarassed to be around her father, Trigon. . .her father, in the comics, mind you, raped her mother, committed genocide on Azarath, and spent his eternal life seeking to find a way to use his daughter as a portal to unleash Hell on Earth. . .:/). It's disrespectful to the kids who did grow up with the original Teen Titans-comics or tv show. And as it's own, separate thing, it's disrespectful to anyone who appreciates any basic amount of intelligence. . . Because if you SOMEHOW isolate this show to where this was some new, random, weird. . .thing that came out of nowhere, it's JUST as horrendous. The show is the equivalent of screaming into an empty potato chip bag. . .for thirty minutes. . .(Or longer if you have suffer through those tortortous and almost inhuman scheduling blocks where it's ALWAYS on CN. . .) I first saw teen titans go, I thought oh it's a goofy twist on some of the comics aimed at kids. And then I saw the originals. And going in the reverse from most fans, I'm even more angry, because I first saw the low quality and dumbed down, quite frankly innapropriate show. Then saw the well thought out original, with the complex characters and stories, honestly it should have been a continuation of season 6. It further ruins the name of the D.C. comics and the movies.

But I don't think they counted on the fact some fans would go see the Original. Because every story I've heard from both kids and adults is that when they do sit down and see the original that they get upset. I once was baby sitting some kids and I asked why they watched TTG. If Teen Titans Go were to end, I hope it would end that during one rainy Halloween night in Gotham City, Deathstroke will be standing on a building using his sniper rifle manoeuvring the scope with the target reticle on each Teen Titans Go. Teen Titans's heads and that each bullet which is in the gun is color coded and the 5 bullets are filled with whatever can kill the Teen Titans Go characters. For example the first bullet that will come out his gun will probably be red to indicate that bullet is meant to kill Robin. The second bullet to come out the gun will perhaps either be orange or yellow and that will indicate that the bullet is meant to kill Starfire. The third bullet that would come out the gun would be green to indicate that the target is Beast Boy. Fourth bullet that comes out the gun would be colored blue to indicate that it is meant to kill Cyborg. And finally, the 5th bullet would be colored purple to indicate that it's Target is Raven. If Teen Titans Go was the end with Deathstroke successfully assassinating the Teen Titans Go Titans, I'd be extremely happy. and then as soon as Deathstroke try to run or go collect his cash for doing his contract to terminate the wannabe Titans, that he will be in for a huge surprise. the original Teen Titans will then leave Jump City, travel to Gotham City and then promptly kick Deathstroke's ass, turn him over to Batman so he can take Slade to Blackgate Penitentiary using the Batmobile while Deathstroke is in handcuffs before going to recover the corpses of their reboot counterparts and then cremating their heavily damaged bodies , have a very brief funeral service with Cyborg playing the funeral march with both Starfire and Raven wearing black funeral dresses as Starfire grieves over their death, Raven and Beast Boy will comfort her, and Robin as the reverend as they do this in honor of these small dim-witted fools they call the Teen Titans(whom also destroyed the credibility and good name of the original Titans) before Robin decides to bury the ashes. however, there is a possibility that Robin will forget to do so and Beast Boy will inadvertently flush down the ashes of each deceased Teen Titans Go Teen Titan. That is how I want Teen Titans Go to end...

When Teen Titans first came on back in 2003 I was in awe on how awesome it became. The episodes were written well, it became reliable because it delt with friendship, love, hate, bullying. The animation was fantastic, the texture, the background. And yes both kids and adults with mature themes loved it. I even played the online game back in middle school.

They fully acknowledge that they know their show is “super stupid”, that the original is better than TTG and what makes Teen Titans better, and yet they get all pissed at people who don’t like the show (even from a non-comparison standpoint) and write petty episodes using strawmen to comment on their “haters”. You can’t gleefully delight in your lack of effort, but then get upset when people rightfully call you out on it.
The OG teen titans is literally the first ever thing that got me into DC. When I saw Robin i thought he was so cool, that i looked him up and everything and thats how i got into DC
When I heard they were bringing back the titans, I felt a huge rush of nostalgic joy. I was in HS when TTG first aired, and me and my middle brother were stoked for the revival, having watched the original titans as kids. We even convinced our youngest brother to sit through the premiere with us after showing him a comp. Of the originals. My brother and I were initially upset at TTG, and how they drifted away from what we loved. The youngest brother, on the other hand, loved it. Will I watch TTG? No. Not by a longshot. But seeing my brother get into it actually brought me some joy, and he actually went back and watched the originals, and fell in love with it as well now. I've come to the conclusion that sadly, this just wasn't for me.
I’m not saying you should watch it, but they did make a movie of teen titans go vs teen titans. I think it’s meant to be a pull lever of nostalgia that shouldn’t be pulled.
Teen Titans was always such a good show. I loved the 1st season’s plot with Slade and Robin, how Robin had to ignore how his friends felt. My favorite episodes we’re definitely slade’s apprentice part 1 & 2 as well as the Puppet episode where Raven and Starfire get body swapped with each other and have to learn about each other’s powers. The Red X episodes were also really fun to watch, and I loved the movie when the Titans were in Japan. Overall, I just really loved the series. Like any piece of media there are flaws but it really was just a good show
If you think about it, CN an warner bros didn't like how the OG teen titans were so popular not leaving room for other shows. Teen Titans go! is the same problem, therefore defeats the purpose.

To be fair that was back in 2006 when the world of entertainment and the world in general was a very different place. No wide spread use of Smartphones, streaming had just barely started to pop up in certain places, and media demographics mattered a lot more.
Strider Xanthos That part makes sense. It matters for the advertisement you show. You only earn ad-revenue for the viewers that are actually in the target demographic. It is just the conclusion that any girls watching Teen Titans will not watch girl's shows because of that does not make sense to me.

What sucks is that now that anime is becoming a bigger thing/ more acceptable in american/western culture today and merchandise are super popular (look at crunchy roll) i think the old teen titans would be a huge success. Same... Probably shows with too much humor, whether funny or not (Breadwinners and Teen Titans Go), give me too much "Go to the bathroom for 10 minutes" escape plan. Now as a teen, I would watch Hilda, Boku Hero No Academia, or Avatar: The Last Airbender. (Great depth, relatable characters, and fun/deep storylines)
I really love Teen Titans. I ship Robin and Starfire so much that it hurts. I literally cried when they kissed in *Trouble in Tokyo* But when it ended... I couldn’t move on. Now there’s Teen Titans Go. No.. just no.
My biggest issue w/ TTG (other than how much CN airs it here in the US, thereby leaving very little running time for anything else) is that you could literally replace EVERYBODY in the show w/ original characters and it wouldn't change a damn thing. And that makes me so mad because instead of piggybacking off of characters on a show w/ a huge fanbase that adored them (and then alienating and pissing off most of those fans by destroying any bit of the characters that were left), they could've just made new characters and kept pretty much everything else. The characters in TTG are NOT the Teen Titans anymore, they're just a group of (unfunny) comedic characters that dispense nothing but toilet humor, jokes that are obnoxiously run into the ground, and pretty much teach kids how to be terrible people. And that's not just because they never fight crime anymore (hell there've been episodes where they've straight-up been the villains). The Teen Titans were more than a team, they were shown to be each other's family- can anybody even say the characters of TTG are even FRIENDS considering how terribly they treat each other in every episode??? And at this point all of the characters are damn-near interchangeable. The only unique things going for them are there powers and physical traits. Even Raven, who's supposed to be the most introverted of the group now has obnoxious and wacky outbursts all the time. Everything that used to make these characters unique in terms of characterization, morals, and personality is just gone. Its nothing but terrible jokes now. Doesn't even matter who says them anymore or why. P.S. FUCK THEM FOR CONTINUOUSLY MAKING IT SEEM LIKE BULLYING YOU'RE (so-called) FRIENDS IS FUNNY- especially the "dead parents" joke, I will literally never forgive them- WHEN THEIR TARGET AUDIENCE IS KIDS!! Use all the stupid humor you want, I don't care anymore, but THAT is unacceptable. Especially when there are cartoons out there that can be funny/entertaining w/o teaching kids to be dicks to each other (OK K.O., The Loud House, Star vs. the Forces of Evil, Ducktales 2017, Steven Universe, The Amazing World of Gumball, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, etc. And that's not even counting the reruns on TeenNick & Disney XD, all their Marvel and Star Wars cartoons, or anime)!

Teen Titans Go’s first couple episodes was able to make me laugh. But it felt like they got lazier and lazier, the poop and fart jokes are just cringy and the “pranks” were just sad, there was even an episode where they told robin his parents came home and when he figured out it was a joke, his laughing turned into crying it was just depressing,
Brightest Light Still Blizz holds the likes of WoW up to this very day which is very impressing considering that it's P2P. That being said, more and more fans are being dissatisfied with what the franchise has become and I believe Blizz'll end supporting it in a few years (wouldn't be surprised if they'd want to replace it with a Diablo MMO and then make Warcraft 4 meantime, or something related to it). I just hope the Classic will be a success and then they'll recreate TBC and later xpacs' servers (though I'll be truly sad when I'll realize they are not going to push the content forward anymore).

It has always been about money. The problem lies in where the money is coming from. Before those cartoons worked because the market allowed for those kinds of cartoons to bring in the money. But the market changed, they were losing money and they didn't know why, they don't know what the right choice is, and if they make a mistake, people they work with and care about could go hungry and lose their livelihoods. It's either do what works and know they can eat, if not eat well, or take a gamble that if it doesn't pay off they don't eat at all. Times are changing and bureaucracy is not made for change.
I actually disagree that the last episode was a huge cliffhanger. When I was a kid I though that but rewatching the series the episode gives you the answer to why Terra left despite not saying it with words. I feel like it’s a very good ending and very good episode, one of the best. The only thing I’d want more of is what the deal with Slade is especially since they introduced his son in an episode but he wasn’t anything more than a side character and his relation to Slade is not even mentioned
I just pretend that Things Change was a bad dream Beast Boy had which wasn't Canon, pretended that The previous Episode, Titans Together was the real Series Finale, and then I moved on with my life.
@@RobertPlays The leading theory is that at the end of Season 4 Trigon petrified everyone when he came to earth then everyone got depetrified when Raven cast him out. Supposedly, Terra got freed with the rest of them. How she then ditched the armor fused to her and wound up in a school is the bigger "how" mystery. Personally, I do not think that girl is Terra for a number of reasons.
Galactic Kids Next Door would have been a continuation (rather than a reboot or remake) of Codename Kids Next Door. However, even with 90000 petition signatures, the idea wasn't accepted by Cartoon Network, as they wanted the Powerpuff Girls 2016 instead (which they claim that the show had overwhelming demand (which wasn't technically true)), a show that involves a twerking panda, no Ms. Bellum, Professor Utonium's round chin, dabbing, selfies, etc. If the show was to be greenlit by Cartoon Network, it not only should be given some good airtime, but it should be aimed at a much older audience (say over age 10). I also think Netflix and/or Adult Swim are better areas to show Galactic Kids Next Door also. At least Adult Swim has a better schedule and respects their cartoons more than Cartoon Network.
Plus, neither the original creators - Craig McCracken & Lauren Faust - nor the original 3 voices of Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup were consulted regarding the 2016 remake.

Oh man. Hearing teen titans intro brings back memories of a time when these companies felt their audience was worth some effort.
When the premise was 'We want a show kids enjoy, but parents don't feel like they are going to pull their hair out.'
No joke, alot of shows I grew up with, many writers say this was the idea. A show both can like to some extent. Disney does this all the time with their movies, and you don't hear them saying 'Cartoons are for kids'. For all their faults, Disney actually cares about both it's audiences in the sense they don't insult them by calling them 'weird' for liking a kids show.

The Ben 10 reboot premiered in 2016 two years after the last episode of Ben 10 Omniverse aired in December 2014.
I remember when I was a huge Ben 10 fan. It was always frowned apon to be a girl fan of a supposedly boy show but I didn’t care what anyone else thought, I loved the show; The characters (well the villains mostly) and the alien designs. Ben and Gwen were a bit too irritating. I did like Alien force for a while but then I just gave up and went back to watching the original. I watched a few minutes of the reboot and felt no emotions, so just turned it off and moved on.

Inky Face Did you watch the video? The bit about CN checking the pulse of the industry and finding that viewers want funny shows rather than action shows is a pretty big reason for the shift. Times change, people's tastes change and companies have to keep that in mind and provide a product that people want. It isn't all profit driven, though that IS the bottom line. The CN and Warner Bros execs aren't the soulless, money grubbing humanshapes people seem to be making them out to be. They're businesses, and businesses have to go where trends take them to succeed.

The original series had such inspiring episodes. Cyborg and Raven was given the best character development in the series. Robin used to be such a badass. Beast Boy had his goofy scenes but even he knew when to take things more serious. Starfire had her fair share of development. Slade, Brother Blood, and Trigon was major threats in the series and all three of them affected the characters emotionally and traumatizing. The show even got TV movie for fuck sake.

Funny thing, in the comics, Brother Blood is a cult leader who worships Trigon.
Slade's just a mercenary. Two of his kids join the Titans. One of th even has a thing for Nightwing.
Trigon, they mostly get right, but Raven can't lose control of her emotions amd definitely can't kill someone or he'll be released. So naturally she's forced to kill a bunch of HIVE mooks called drones (Get it? Bee motif?) and then Trigon attacks. Also, those grayscale clones fight them one on one, and it's more internal: "You abandoned Batman. Jason is too weak. Go back to Gotham before something happens." "Everyone around you dies. These friends will as well." "Your responsibilities are with your people. Return to Tamaran." "You're such a coward, you won't even tell your friends you're dying." "Don't you wish you were still fully human? More machine than man. Pathetic." "Your husband is weak, like all men. Return to Themyscira."

Honestly, I wouldn’t mind this show if one of two things happened:
1) The humor wasn’t so stupid and loud and obnoxious. If they’d put a little more thought into the humor and tried a little bit with the characters, this show wouldn’t be that bad.
2) This just wasn’t Teen Titans. Seriously. If they branded this show as anything else and didn’t use the characters of the original series, I wouldn’t mind this show very much at all.

I think its interesting that you avoided TTG manipulation. “The Return of Slade” was clearly an attempt to draw in older fans to teach them a lesson about nostalgia and enjoying stuff not meant for you. If they kept their distance and did there own thing itd be one thing, but the fact that they seem to go out of their way to give older fans the middle finger in some episodes is not helping the series’ reputation.
When I first watched that episode, I really thought there would be a cool yet silly fight scene between the Titans and Slade but then they never show him or the fight between him and the Teen Titans. They built him up at the start of the episode and the "pay off" (which was just the Titans showing off his mask and bragging about how 'cool' the fight was) was nothing short of a huge let down.
I watched the OG series as a kid and gave TTG a chance when it started airing, but "The Return of Slade" just left a bad taste in my mouth.

The newest episode which is the reason that I will never watch Teen Titans Go ever again (I don't know why I watched it in the first place but it might have been because a few years ago actually like the show and I didn't want to give it up despite the fact that it's blatantly bad) it's an episode about the Titans getting excited about a reboot of their favorite show Thunder Cats. It was rebooted as Thunder Cats Roar. It went from an action with anime-like animation to a comedy with a more cartoon like animation. The teen titans are portrayed as irrational for not liking the show and not giving the show a chance. Then at the end people that don't like "thunder Cats Roar" are poop. That is the word they used and what more did I expect. I didn't even watch the original show and I wanted to shoot the TV for not respecting the opinions of others. I didn't watch the original show, I did give the new show a chance and I can see that it's shit. Everyone with eyes can see that the show is shit

I never felt like Go was an affront to the fans, but to the characters. Teen Titans had characters with heart. They seemed to have real weight and life to them. Go took the same characters, and transformed them into lifeless jokes on legs. Returning voice acting only makes it worse, as it makes it harder to disassociate the two from one another.

Look, I didn't grow up with the show. Not even with DC. Never watched a Batman movie nor a cartoon. My brother watched TTG, I sometimes stumbled upon it and just rolled my eyes because it was so dumb. It's actually the first thing I watched in DC. So, when I say that Teen Titans Go is bad, it really isn't nostalgia, or crapping on the new generation. The jokes are dumb, the characters are total toxic degenerates and it can't even be considered a parody since pratically nothing they make fun of is an actual flaw in the original show's plot or characters.
You may not be dumb, kid, but you sure are short sighted. I'm not saying you're not allowed to like the show. I sure as hell don't but that doesn't mean I'll crap on peoples who do. Everyone got their taste, I just don't do mediocrity humor like that, but I get how peoples, especially kids, just wants to laugh at farts jokes and at least, the characters never act as if what they're doing is good, so hopefully kids'll know not to act like them.
But before getting hung up over how much peoples hates your fav, did you try to watch the first Teen Titans ? Of course, it's much less immature and perhaps it'll be more appreciated by you when you become a teenager, since it's the target audience, but at least, most peoples critisizing Go tried to watch it once. I have no issue with TT being more comedic. Taking a fresh approach yet still keeping a semi-serious story in there is generally amazing. However TTG is nothing but crude, offensive, idiotic "humor" that isn't really even that funny and does more harm to the show for 90% of viewers that are older than 10. That's why I hate TTG.
I also tried to go in thinking of the show as an alternate reality or something. It didn't help. The terrible jokes and visually jarring animation just created too much of an inability to enjoy even a single episode, much less a full series.

I really agree, I would have been upset with the change but could have forgiven and enjoyed it....if it was funny. It really REALLY isn't though even the whole "viewing it as an alternate reality" doesn't help, because lack of pregidous doesn't help the lack of quality. which keeps TTG in my list of most hated show. The jokes themselves don't even have substance and are vapid and annoying instead. The animation and art is not even jarring in a good way, the entire show looks and feels like something someone threw together in ms paint because they were bored and they wanted to make something to annoy their friend. All of this is made even sadder by the fact that I in my late teens, still un ironically watch the air buddies franchise can't find any humor in that show.

The people involved with Go seem to be under the very rude and disrespectful perspective that if you hate their show, you are therefore just bathing in nostalgia for the awesomeness of the original-a "hater" all the same. I don't harp on a different version of comic book stories for being. . .different. If I did, I would have missed out on some of the best stories, each with their own uniqueness and specialties. So to think many people would simply scorn and sneer at a different adaptation of a comic book is simply laughable-most people don't.Most people won't. It's unfair to criticize different versions just for being different-BUT it is perfectly FAIR in order to criticize it based on how well it does by itself and how well it maintains the core essence of the original story.
In both aspects, Go fails miserably. So miserable, it only sinks into the mud and nearly drowns itself screaming. This show is just simply disrepectful and I'm not entirely sure exactly to who. . .it's that bad. It's disrespectful to the original 2003 show (which for all intents and purposes, was for Teen Titans as to what Batman: The Animated series was to Batman, and you certainly NEVER have any smug prick behind a new show mouth off over that one. . .). It's disrespectful to its own source material. I first saw teen titans go, I thought oh it's a goofy twist on some of the comics aimed at kids. And then I saw the originals. And going in the reverse from most fans, I'm even more angry, because I first saw the low quality and dumbed down, quite frankly innapropriate show. Then saw the well thought out original, with the complex characters and stories, honestly it should have been a continuation of season 6. It further ruins the name of the D.C. comics and the movies.

Because every story I've heard from both kids and adults is that when they do sit down and see the original that they get upset.
I once was baby sitting some kids and I asked why they watched TTG. They said it was funny, I told them about the one I grew up with. Action adventure comic book style. And they looked very excited at that idea. Both a boy and girl about 6 or 7.

If Teen Titans Go were to end, I hope it would end that during one rainy Halloween night in Gotham City, Deathstroke will be standing on a building using his sniper rifle manoeuvring the scope with the target reticle on each Teen Titans Go. Teen Titans's heads and that each bullet which is in the gun is color coded and the 5 bullets are filled with whatever can kill the Teen Titans Go characters. For example the first bullet that will come out his gun will probably be red to indicate that bullet is meant to kill Robin. The second bullet to come out the gun will perhaps either be orange or yellow and that will indicate that the bullet is meant to kill Starfire. The third bullet that would come out the gun would be green to indicate that the target is Beast Boy. Fourth bullet that comes out the gun would be colored blue to indicate that it is meant to kill Cyborg. And finally, the 5th bullet would be colored purple to indicate that it's Target is Raven. If Teen Titans Go was the end with Deathstroke successfully assassinating the Teen Titans Go Titans, I'd be extremely happy. and then as soon as Deathstroke try to run or go collect his cash for doing his contract to terminate the wannabe Titans, that he will be in for a huge surprise. the original Teen Titans will then leave Jump City, travel to Gotham City and then promptly kick Deathstroke's ass, turn him over to Batman so he can take Slade to Blackgate Penitentiary using the Batmobile while Deathstroke is in handcuffs before going to recover the corpses of their reboot counterparts and then cremating their heavily damaged bodies , have a very brief funeral service with Cyborg playing the funeral march with both Starfire and Raven wearing black funeral dresses as Starfire grieves over their death, Raven and Beast Boy will comfort her, and Robin as the reverend as they do this in honor of these small dim-witted fools they call the Teen Titans(whom also destroyed the credibility and good name of the original Titans) before Robin decides to bury the ashes. however, there is a possibility that Robin will forget to do so and Beast Boy will inadvertently flush down the ashes of each deceased Teen Titans Go Teen Titan. That is how I want Teen Titans Go to end...

When Teen Titans first came on back in 2003 I was in awe on how awesome it became. The episodes were written well, it became reliable because it delt with friendship, love, hate, bullying. The animation was fantastic, the texture, the background. And yes both kids and adults with mature themes loved it. I even played the online game back in middle school.

The OG teen titans is literally the first ever thing that got me into DC. When I saw Robin i thought he was so cool, that i looked him up and everything and thats how i got into DC
When I heard they were bringing back the titans, I felt a huge rush of nostalgic joy. I was in HS when TTG first aired, and me and my middle brother were stoked for the revival, having watched the original titans as kids. We even convinced our youngest brother to sit through the premiere with us after showing him a comp. Of the originals. My brother and I were initially upset at TTG, and how they drifted away from what we loved. The youngest brother, on the other hand, loved it. Will I watch TTG? No. Not by a longshot. But seeing my brother get into it actually brought me some joy, and he actually went back and watched the originals, and fell in love with it as well now. I've come to the conclusion that sadly, this just wasn't for me.

Teen Titans was always such a good show. I loved the 1st season’s plot with Slade and Robin, how Robin had to ignore how his friends felt. My favorite episodes we’re definitely slade’s apprentice part 1 & 2 as well as the Puppet episode where Raven and Starfire get body swapped with each other and have to learn about each other’s powers. The Red X episodes were also really fun to watch, and I loved the movie when the Titans were in Japan.
Overall, I just really loved the series. Like any piece of media there are flaws but it really was just a good show

My biggest issue w/ TTG (other than how much CN airs it here in the US, thereby leaving very little running time for anything else) is that you could literally replace EVERYBODY in the show w/ original characters and it wouldn't change a damn thing. And that makes me so mad because instead of piggybacking off of characters on a show w/ a huge fanbase that adored them (and then alienating and pissing off most of those fans by destroying any bit of the characters that were left), they could've just made new characters and kept pretty much everything else.
The characters in TTG are NOT the Teen Titans anymore, they're just a group of (unfunny) comedic characters that dispense nothing but toilet humor, jokes that are obnoxiously run into the ground, and pretty much teach kids how to be terrible people. And that's not just because they never fight crime anymore (hell there've been episodes where they've straight-up been the villains). The Teen Titans were more than a team, they were shown to be each other's family- can anybody even say the characters of TTG are even FRIENDS considering how terribly they treat each other in every episode???
And at this point all of the characters are damn-near interchangeable. The only unique things going for them are there powers and physical traits. Even Raven, who's supposed to be the most introverted of the group now has obnoxious and wacky outbursts all the time. Everything that used to make these characters unique in terms of characterization, morals, and personality is just gone.
Its nothing but terrible jokes now. Doesn't even matter who says them anymore or why.
P.S. FUCK THEM FOR CONTINUOUSLY MAKING IT SEEM LIKE BULLYING YOU'RE (so-called) FRIENDS IS FUNNY- especially the "dead parents" joke, I will literally never forgive them- WHEN THEIR TARGET AUDIENCE IS KIDS!! Use all the stupid humor you want, I don't care anymore, but THAT is unacceptable. Especially when there are cartoons out there that can be funny/entertaining w/o teaching kids to be dicks to each other (OK K.O., The Loud House, Star vs. the Forces of Evil, Ducktales 2017, Steven Universe, The Amazing World of Gumball, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, etc. And that's not even counting the reruns on TeenNick & Disney XD, all their Marvel and Star Wars cartoons, or anime)!

Teen Titans Go’s first couple episodes was able to make me laugh. But it felt like they got lazier and lazier, the poop and fart jokes are just cringy and the “pranks” were just sad, there was even an episode where they told robin his parents came home and when he figured out it was a joke, his laughing turned into crying it was just depressing,

That seems to be Hollywood's attitude towards all franchises these days.
Brightest Light Still Blizz holds the likes of WoW up to this very day which is very impressing considering that it's P2P. That being said, more and more fans are being dissatisfied with what the franchise has become and I believe Blizz'll end supporting it in a few years (wouldn't be surprised if they'd want to replace it with a Diablo MMO and then make Warcraft 4 meantime, or something related to it). I just hope the Classic will be a success and then they'll recreate TBC and later xpacs' servers (though I'll be truly sad when I'll realize they are not going to push the content forward anymore).

It has always been about money. The problem lies in where the money is coming from. Before those cartoons worked because the market allowed for those kinds of cartoons to bring in the money. But the market changed, they were losing money and they didn't know why, they don't know what the right choice is, and if they make a mistake, people they work with and care about could go hungry and lose their livelihoods. It's either do what works and know they can eat, if not eat well, or take a gamble that if it doesn't pay off they don't eat at all. Times are changing and bureaucracy is not made for change.

I actually disagree that the last episode was a huge cliffhanger. When I was a kid I though that but rewatching the series the episode gives you the answer to why Terra left despite not saying it with words. I feel like it’s a very good ending and very good episode, one of the best. The only thing I’d want more of is what the deal with Slade is especially since they introduced his son in an episode but he wasn’t anything more than a side character and his relation to Slade is not even mentioned

@@RobertPlays The leading theory is that at the end of Season 4 Trigon petrified everyone when he came to earth then everyone got depetrified when Raven cast him out. Supposedly, Terra got freed with the rest of them. How she then ditched the armor fused to her and wound up in a school is the bigger "how" mystery. Personally, I do not think that girl is Terra for a number of reasons.

Galactic Kids Next Door would have been a continuation (rather than a reboot or remake) of Codename Kids Next Door. However, even with 90000 petition signatures, the idea wasn't accepted by Cartoon Network, as they wanted the Powerpuff Girls 2016 instead (which they claim that the show had overwhelming demand (which wasn't technically true)), a show that involves a twerking panda, no Ms. Bellum, Professor Utonium's round chin, dabbing, selfies, etc. If the show was to be greenlit by Cartoon Network, it not only should be given some good airtime, but it should be aimed at a much older audience (say over age 10). I also think Netflix and/or Adult Swim are better areas to show Galactic Kids Next Door also. At least Adult Swim has a better schedule and respects their cartoons more than Cartoon Network.
Plus, neither the original creators - Craig McCracken & Lauren Faust - nor the original 3 voices of Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup were consulted regarding the 2016 remake.

Why didn't you talk about the garbage lessons they give kids? I get that it's geared towards kids, but then where's the family friendly aesops? Where's the lessons? This show had the whole cast beat up a villain for doing nothing, made fun of Robin's dead parents, AND had Beast Boy and Cyborg disrespect Nightwing's family before going back in time to make sure they avoid responsibility. Where's that video?

Ben Regenbaum ...that’s the whole joke. Whenever there’s a “boys vs. girls” episode in cartoons, the intended answer is usually meant to be that both sexes are equal but typically end up accidentally implying girls are better than boys.
