      You can get one at walmart or qfc. A good way to find deals on expensive meat is to get meat that about to hit the “best by” date. I cook and eat the same day when I do this

    I know how to cure an egg yolk, but how do you smoke it?

      I posted the process on my last short. Basically after curing you rinse off the salt and smoke it at a very low temperature for a couple hours to dehydrate it further and add some additional smokey flavor.

      Smoke it anywhere from 180-250 until the internal temp hits 115-120 and then sear for approx 2 minutes a side. S/B a perfect medium rare.

      I think it's overcooked. Id still eat it but medium rare is my favorite. This is medium well.

    I trusted My best friend with my Tomahawk steak because he said he could cook. He cooked the steak for an hour and stabbed it with a knife

      Keeps the temp more consistent and keeps the cap from detaching from part of the eye after fat renders . You'd only know if you cooked hundreds of them.

    Would have been better if well done(non blood 🩸 present). I will give that citrus wood a try next time I Que. Didn’t get the whole smoke egg thing. I think that tomahawk can stand on its on.
