Lisa Lines had many impressive academic achievements. She had two PhDs, was an expert on the Spanish Civil War, and started her own academic editing company. In 2014, she was offered a job at the prestigious military history department at the Australian Defence Force Academy, so she moved to Canberra with her long-term partner, Jonathon Hawtin, and their two young children.
There she met a student, 13 years her junior. They started an affair, marking the start of a long nightmare for many people in Lisa's life. Her choices would destroy many lives and ultimately result in an international manhunt.

That attempt was made when the police thought that Jonathan was the one who had attempted to murder Zachariah.
Usually as a Suspect he would have been under police guard. I assume that because he was a quadriplegic that it was unnecessary.
The police really screwed the pooch with this case, and unfortunately here in Australia our courts suck. So there will be no justice, they won't get a maximum sentence, and then they will be paroled early. Meanwhile Jonathan is stuck living as a prisoner in his own body for the rest of his life. That's f'kd up.
People who work for the police are not necessarily intelligent.

his statement that he and his mother have "been through hell" is honestly an understatement, as what they and the kids endured is horrific beyond measure

Just some production thoughts man: maybe set up an autocue so you can look into the camera instead of glancing at your notes, or just edit so that sequences with your face are parts when you're not looking at your notes. You can use any old laptop for autocue, doesn't need special equipment.

Lisa was motivated financially for the death of her ex-husband. She most likely manipulated Zacariah to try and murder Jonathan and it's very likely he nearly got away with it too. He should have been charged and sentenced with attempted murder following Jonathan's acquittal. While she met the other woman on a dating app and it could be a third lover situation, it could also very well have been if she was successful in smothering Jonathan and killing him Lisa would probably pay her a certain amount from the life insurance payout she would receive.
Lisa should be sentenced to life in prison without parole. She doesn't deserve any sort of life after this, nor does she need to be around and poison the minds of her two young kids with her malice. Even if leniency is granted, her public career and the following investigation of financial crimes in Taiwan will effectively end her as well.

Love your channel, been watching since the beginning, but I was hoping you would go back to narration only instead of the cuts between the footage and your face / studio setup. Not like you’re unattractive or anything and it’s your channel so you can do whatever you want with it. I’m just saying it kind of takes me out of the story; like when there was the old A&E style biographies and it’s just archival footage / pictures, and maybe some talking head interviews, but it doesn’t cut to the narrator. Anyways good content as always!
