If she found the right guy there would have been several murders. The Aunt saved her own life and others.
Honestly, im taking the aunt's side. In my opinion, Marissa was too far gone to be saved.
If everything in this video is true then Patra was a solid female role model and parental figure for her niece, she didn't deserve any of this insanity. She tried so hard to help Marissa
If anything, Marissa needed a strong father figure in her life. Her desperation for validation from stranger men years her senior is proof of that. I guess Patra's fiancé could not be that figure.

I feel so much for Petra. First, she lost her sister. Then, watched her niece fall into the system. Finally, she gets her out of that system & ends up in this situation.
Wow, all the aunt wanted to do was help her niece. Can't imagine what would've happened if "Trey" was actually an ex-convict who would've murdered Patra for Marissa?
Great video as always - congrats on the first sponsor!
The aunt is well in her right to have Marissa arrested for plotting to murder. She said that she didn't want anyone to get hurt but gave detailed instructions so she's clearly lying. Not only did Patra save her own life but her kids and dog too.
Poor dog's done nothing, scoundrel!
"Poor dog"...yeah, never mind the 3 human lives - including a child -, poor doggy did nothing wrong

The aunt did good. Eventually that girl would have met someone who would have executed her plan.
Writing as a once troubled youth myself, I wholeheartedly support Patra in what she did. I think children and teenagers should learn about the realities of life by examples set by those around them and be guided to fully understand the physical law of cause and effect gently but unmistakably at an early age. Overprotection and countless “second chances” produce adults unable to cope with life. Rehab and jails are full of Karens who never learned.
this is the one time i actually agree with the catfishing, her aunt genuinely tried to help
Goes to show how much kids need to be monitored on social media. Sometimes I'm so glad I don't have kids because teenagers are sooo challenging. This girl was hurting so much. I wish for all teens to have self esteem and good influences around them. The aunt did the right thing!
Honestly, children should not have unrestricted access to the Wild West of global telecommunications. Stranger danger and all that.
Not having kids is not something to be happy or proud of.
@@user-fe8gx3ie5v why?? Why are you saying that? What a dumb thing to say..
Also, having kids isn't any moral virtue *for sure*
Also, not reproducing IS a good thing because humanity is over consuming it's resources and there's plenty of existing children that need a home
@@user-fe8gx3ie5v the way you look down on people for not having kids is absurdly stupid. Not having kids IS something for people to be happy about, you shitforbrains. No, he doesn't. No one on social media deserves it, and the sponsors themselves are shady.
@@user-fe8gx3ie5v "On social media"
I... I cannot believe you just called RUclips 'social media'.
Coming from the "good child" of my family...people like that are usually too far gone to change. I've spent years trying to help my sibling get their life together, but they are convinced that opportunity is just gonna fall from the sky, or someone is going to help them their entire adult life. After they were put out for basic the same thing this girl was doing, getting with an abusive partner, and going through homeless shelters they haven't changed. My prayers go to the aunt...I know that it must be hard to do that to a family member...but if you let them constantly run over you, eventually you just stop loving them. Its a guilt she may carry forever, but at least it was from a place of love.
Insane. I wonder if she kept looking for guys out of jail cause she thought they'd might be able to commit the crime for her? It's a dangerous situation. The way the girl was going it seems she was gonna end up in jail one way or the other. I fear for people who value men (or women) for sex and partying above their own well being. I only hope she has more sense now but who knows...
She was much too old to be acting like that when her aunt took her in, all the aunt did was save her own life tbh. I understand marissa had a hard childhood and was probably also stunted in many ways developmentally but that doesn’t typically make someone an ungrateful, stupid, would-be murderer, and willing to have sex with a stranger in the family home for $50, too. You just gotta be a real piece of garbage who doesn’t want any better for yourself, seriously.
that....isn't how trauma or mental illness works.
@@vismattress5760some people use trauma as an excuse for their behavior though so you really can’t say that as that’s on the individual to change.
I think it's wrong to use deception to control or monitor your children, but I admire the creativity of her solution, and it averted a terrible tragedy.
I think she was in the right with what she did. She was clearly in danger and took the steps to stop it.
Lmao love the stock footage around 3:00 where you can clearly tell they're just mashing letters randomly on the keyboard and not actually texting anything. Unless "fjvdkec" means something to someone, lol.
This aunt is a hero. I'm impressed with how she handled herself.

Surfshark sounds like a sick cartoon idea
Scary stuff😲😲😲
To be frank, Marissa was putting herself and others in unreasonable danger and refused to stop. In that scenario, a loss of online privacy to keep tabs on her behavior is absolutely reasonable. Are there other avenues Petra could’ve taken? Probably, but that doesn't change that she was doing the best she could. I wonder if Marissa and Petra ever tried family therapy. That could have been extremely helpful with building trust and communication.
Why wasn't she convicted? I'd investigate how her mother died too.
Slap on the wrist for juveniles. That's quite the sociopathic young woman. Even her children are in danger.
Check out some of the kids who go into foster care. it's sad but some can't be saved.

Nothing worse than having a daughter like this! Please god have mercy on me
She made the plans, and it appeared to be going that way according to Her. Good thing it was Her aunt, and not someone else.
Scary. She would've killed the aunt in a second to run with tray top dog. What is the world coming to?
Well damn a quarter of the video was a AD smh 😢
While normally I'd think it would be over the line, the aunt towed it very carefully and didn't lead her niece to do anything, all was done by the niece. I think this is one of the few situations where doing this actually falls onto the "necessary evil" side. I do feel awful for the aunt
This video was 17%+ SurfShark ad. 😆
so weird se made up this fake boyfriend to fuck with her niece then messed with her head by having the fake boy stand her up and feed her lies then pushes her too the point she wants to kill her nothing this aunt says adds up she started the whole situation and let it get out of hand

Wait I'm confused? She escape the facility and they let her go or were there some info not mention since it jumped to her having kids?
While I'm on the aunt side (plotting to killed the aunt is one thing but the dog too??? WTF) but if Marissa is now "stable" now she got kids, maybe there is some truths to how her aunt was controlling her too much?
Why the dog tho?
Such a great video about Surfshark...
Why the _dog too_ man wtf?!

I wonder who that guy really was
And why the fuck is Marisa still free? I’m surprised she hasn’t been arrested again and sent back due to her escaping that program illegally
You sound just like 'i did a thing' I'm convinced you are the same person.
too much ad for such little video yuck
I don’t know much about the American social services system. However; I can’t help but wonder if the resentment towards her Aunt didn’t start with the grounding and making her focus on school, but when her mum died and family that she may have assumed were perfectly capable of looking after her just let her stay in the system until she basically aged out of it…
Obviously not saying she’s justified and there are tonnes of reasons why family might not be able to take in a niece, nephew, or other family member. But I can absolutely see that a child or teenager in an already wobbly emotional state would think that.
A bunch of unfocused verbal diarrhea

Her Aunt is an HERo
Cringe.
@@SamSonicVideosironic coming from someone who said “the dog did nothing wrong” when it said that 2 adults and 3 children and a dog would be murdered lmao
Overly controlling aunt refuses to get her niece proper mental health care, ignores her developmental struggles, uses outdated and arbitrary punishments for perceived "antisocial" behavior, tricks and gaslights her mentally ill and traumatized family member into wishing violence on an unloving home, sends her to prison for some text messages. "Justice". No wonder she's wracked with guilt. Never once did she attempt to meet Marissa's needs at all, just expected her to magically come out of the System totally normal and ready to behave. Imagine feeling so unloved and so uncared for that you'd let someone pay you for s*x just to cover a phone bill.
You don't catfish your own teenage niece out of some sense of duty. That's about control. That's about not seeing her as someone you need to respect. I hope getting her out of your hair was worth it. Back to jail with you, missy.

Utterly tragic story, but not uncommon. This young lady didn't realize it, but she clearly desperately desired a father figure in her life. She's lashing out against a world that had failed her in her most impressionable years. Patra did all she could. Perhaps someday, Marissa will understand. Maybe she won't. I wouldn't rule out an onset of schizophrenia either.
