Embark on a celestial adventure as I push the Hyperlapse Star Trails feature on Samsung Galaxy phones to the limit in the darkest place in the U.S. - Big Bend National Park, Texas, on the Mexican border. Join me for three days of desert camping, testing the capabilities of smartphone astrophotography. Experience the magic of the night sky and witness the breathtaking dance of stars with Samsung Galaxy. Hit play and join me under the stars for this cosmic escapade! 🌌✨
Nice
Nice, but when I take celestial photographs, I try to avoid star trailing.
This is not photography. This feature is called Hyperlapse timelapse video just to create star trails and movement as a video. Hyperlapse is not for tracking celestial objects

Great video.
Don't you know any app to use as an alternative to this star trail mode in the hyperlapse menu ? I don't have this option on my Samsung S10.
In manual mode, I can take a photo at let say : 1600 iso with a 30 sec exposure but I don't how I can trigger it in a time-lapse mode. I got a few time-lapse apps but I can't use a long exposure time value.
Thanks. Unfortunately only newer models has this built in star trail mode, but you can still make star trail video in the post. You mentioned that you can do 30sec. long exposure so this is great. You can take multiple 30 sec. shots and edit them after with a computer. Here is a short simple tutorial I found for you: ruclips.net/user/shortszDHe_3k2JaE?si=eBBCJlKln4nRLHzv
Let me know if that works!!
Thanks. That's what I do with a DSLR.
@@PatrickMayon That's the best option I guess. After a quick research I learned that only UI 5 and UI 6 version of android with Galaxyy phones have this hyperlapse star trail feature.
