Scraping the barrel for comments now, on video 3, but I saw another channel’s video recently, on the failure of Infiniti as a brand. It seemed all to boil down to the quality of the interior, which stayed at Nissan levels. Certainly Lexus have got that interior quality spot on
I was very close to buying an NX300 last year to replace my wife's Volvo XC60. The build quality was amazing in all the cars we tested. In the end, we opted for an RX450 for a bit more space. You are spot on about Lexus dealers, they go the extra mile. I'm a massive Lexus fanboy now and would love something daft like an RC F or an IS F in the future. Also, well done Matt for looking after your Mum ❤
Nice car. Nice colour. What's really heartwarming is to see a young man who looks after his family. Now that is a message truly worth spreading. Good on you Matt 👍 ❤️
I've always liked the NX as well and thought it is a great sensible all-rounder. I'm now a full-EV convert but if circumstances mean I need to go back to combustion would definitely be on my list for a daily driver.
I've always said you only ever have one mom and you have to look after them they spent years looking after us and hearing you say just proves how much of a good decent person you are

I'm not so sure that using your mum to gain Likes is a benevolent act though lol. The Lexus is a top car though, I have an older RX 350 model and it does everything you want it to do very well. It's getting to the point where we are considering changing it but there's little out there to beat it.

I also thought the same about the UX until my wife bought one. It turns out that it is great. All of the Lexus benefits in a smaller cheaper package and the looks really grow on you.
I completely agree about the lack of choice in the range. I like the NX but don’t want to follow the SUV herd. If only Lexus would bring back the IS wagon!
Hearing that the evoque present is already a couple of years ago just made me realise you’ve been doing this, and me following and watching, for quite a long time! Time flies! Keep up the good work and great videos!✌️✌️

I currently drive a Lexus RC300H and it is by far the best car I have owned or driven. Thanks for the review of the NX which might be in the frame for a future change.
Nice to see someone as knowledgeable about you appreciating the Lexus brand. My LC500 was with Lexus for repairs, and they gave me a UX. I actually really really enjoyed it. At the same time my Audi was in for repairs and I was given a new A8 40 loaner. I preferred the UX. A really good car.
The problem with this Lexus and Toyota is they are easily easily stolen using the CAN BUS method. It only takes 2 minutes to access the CANBUS near the headlight and create another key. A ghost immobiliser is needed for this car
Another great video Matt . Just bought my 3rd Lexus got a GS 300h and as you say the dealer experience is 2nd to none and they are just really well put together cars .

Well done Matt your in the mummy's boy club 👍 I was lucky enough to look after my mom the last 10 years of her life she had no financial worries at all it was a true privilege.
I was in the same shoes 3 years ago. The wife wanted an NX, so we went down to the local dealership to view the regular EX spec model in stock. But it was parked alongside the snazzier NX F-Sport. Then she wanted the F-Sport. Honestly, I could not see the sense in either - my preference was a Volvo D60. But she wanted what she wanted. So I ponied up for the F-Sport. She still has it and loves it to bits, and I still wash and polish it every Sunday so she feels special when climbing in for work the next day.
Hybrid battery lives under the rear seats and doesn't hinder boot space, it's actually a great design! The lack of boot space believe it or not is more by design to give you that high load lip. An average of 42-45mpg is easily achievable in warmer weather if you know how to work the hybrid system. In sport mode it can feel quite nippy around town with a good amount of low end torque from the electric motors.
@@HighPeakAutos or rather there is no load lip due to the boot floor being so high making it easy to slide items in/out of the boot space, I believe that was the intent there. The UX has the same design/issue
