Cause what if it’s an account that you bought off someone which means that it would have different information like different state, city, home address etc.. & it ends up getting taken by someone else? Keep in mind, you still have the account on your Xbox console though!

One morning I wake up, I go to my laptop, and everything is getting changed right in front of me. A hacker got into my Xbox account, changed the gamertag, and removed all of my friends. What they wanted was my Fortnite account. When they got that, they started purchasing v bucks from my account, but my credit card declined all the purchases. The good news is that I was able to get back my stolen Fortnite account back with my receipts, but I couldn't get back my Xbox account. I thought I could just simply get it back with my receipts but Microsoft made getting my account back too damn impossible. I submitted many forms, showed them images of my profile getting changed, and showed them receipts. Even with all of those receipts, they still can't find me to be the account owner. After 3 months of trying to get my account back, I just simply gave up, sold my Xbox, sold all of my games, and simply got a Playstation 5. I still miss the old games that I used to play on my Xbox. Halo and Gears of War. I miss my Xbox Live friends. I miss those guys that I've been friends with for over 15 years. I miss it all. I lose all of that and for what? Some kid hacker wanted to get his grubby little hands on a Fortnite account 😑

@bigantho1557 I lost my account, too. I had 16 years on my account, had over 300+ games, and 75k gamerscore. One morning I wake up, I go to my laptop, and everything is getting changed right in front of me. A hacker got into my Xbox account, changed the gamertag, and removed all of my friends. What they wanted was my Fortnite account. When they got that, they started purchasing v bucks from my account, but my credit card declined all the purchases. The good news is that I was able to get back my stolen Fortnite account back with my receipts, but I couldn't get back my Xbox account. I thought I could just simply get it back with my receipts but Microsoft made getting my account back too damn impossible. I submitted many forms, showed them images of my profile getting changed, and showed them receipts. Even with all of those receipts, they still can't find me to be the account owner. After 3 months of trying to get my account back, I just simply gave up, sold my Xbox, sold all of my games, and simply got a Playstation 5. I still miss the old games that I used to play on my Xbox. Halo and Gears of War. I miss my Xbox Live friends. I miss those guys that I've been friends with for over 15 years. I miss it all. I lose all of that and for what? Some kid hacker wanted to get his grubby little hands on a Fortnite account 😑
@@BlazeInferno360 Sorry to hear that man. In a perfect world they couldn’t do that as a company. It’s not right to rob your customers in the name of security. They can easily tell who’s who, especially when you’ve bought thousands of dollars worth of stuff. They’re pitiful.

So I did everything he said to do in the video and when I got in contact with them they stayed they could transfer my game data to a new account and basically told me to keep doing the verification form and I can’t get it to go through than I’m screwed
