oh we have that in America too, it's called planet fitness.
I have 12 tattoos, so I wouldn’t be allowed entry since they can’t all be covered, which is, with all due respect because I understand it’s cultural, dumb. What about the pictures on my skin makes it to where I can’t sit in a bath? I really need someone to explain this to me.
Are you talking about bathhouses in SK? Or onsens in Japan? Some older ladies might stare but I’ve yet to have problems with the staff or younger folks.
i definitely wouldn’t try this… my body is for my eyes only and not because “the naked body is sexual” and such… i’m just an insanely private person and i dont like my body being shown to anyone
The thought of someone walking up and screaming at me to take my pants off is unnerving.
me, a finn: so? we do that here all the time in public pools and saunas. this ain't special
Omg we have the same thing in Tunisia 😅
I remember as kids we used to sit at the Sauna where the elderly men used to sit, we the kids had our swimshorts on as we also was swimming in the pool, the old men on the other hand.... naked!!! sitting there discussing politics and local stuff. Was fun time tough ... can't deny that.
In Sweden we have saunas and it's a rule in every public sauna that i've ever seen that you can't wear bikini or underwear in them, unless it's a unisex sauna ofcourse, or if it's a private sauna
In north India also we have these saunas which operate on hot springs from the himalayas and i went there only once so this isnt that weird to me.. but i did noot go naked - i was wearing shorts and tank top
Sure never going to any of those..... Thankyou
I'm Arab and we have the same thing except we don't have uniform looking clothes
It's only weird if the homies don't scrub my back after I scrub theirs
My friend visited that place and she said she was TRAUMATIZED. Some time later my bf offered me to go there with his Korean mom but I- I can’t 😭😭
It's actually also part of my culture too so it's not much of a shock tho it probably would for other people
In American locker rooms we change in front of each other(at least where I come from) I don't know if there was a lot of walking around though, you just changed quick and that was it. That was in middle school though. I refuse to change in front of people now so I dont really use locker rooms.
I mean that’s like a norm at pools & saunas where I come from.
Everyone showers or goes to the sauna naked together (most places divided by gender) before and after going into the pool.
Also it’s healthy for kids to see different types of body types to get body positivity towards themselves, knowing it’s okay to look like they do, even if it’s different than their friends. Because we are all different, and that’s okay and normal.
That's not a culture shock america used to have them until Aids and sanitation issues
germans : why would you separate male and female, you had it almost perfectly like we like ~
Ok I know it sounds weird in other countries but I went to one when I was little and visiting Korea and it was enjoyable. They had vending machines and I got strawberry milk :D
Did this.... it's OK. Since everyone else is naked. LOL
In Germany all saunas are naked and mixed
I’m from the US and even here if you go to the pool or something and go to the locker rooms to change, you’ll almost always see an old man just walking around naked. Don’t know why, but it’s something I learned at a young age and you just gotta look away lol
I have thought for a while that if communal bathing was part of American culture we probably wouldn't have so many body issues. I grew up sharing a bathroom or pool changing room, etc. with my mom, grandma, great-grandma, aunt, my sisters, friends, I have very few hang-ups about my body and am so thankful for it.
It's also pretty normal in my country, Iran
Like we got public showers😂
And if your going to the pool you see most elder womans naked washing them self's before and after swimming
More I hear about South Korean culture, more it sounds like Finnish culture. Heavy drinking culture and the normalization of nudity. 😂
I’m pretty sure I’d blind people if I chilled around naked lol
