I think it's about an alcoholic, likely depressed, that drinks to cope with their emotional pain. That's why, in the end, she mentions being useless and not being able to stop. Alcohol is the only way she can cope.

i’ve been an emetophobe for years. i heard this song in a video, and searched it up. the title freaked me out- (ik japanese, and the title is an onomatopoeia for vomiting.) but i was like “nah it’s probably not about that…” it was. i cried and had to sit in silence for an hour…

When i was young i didnt throw up from anxiety but i always had such bad nausea that it always felt like it was going to happen. This song is a little comforting, it makes me feel understood as to how that pain felt back then.
I know everyone is saying this is about being drunk but is it only me who thinks its about being bulimic and she is throwing up her food and that's why she says she can't stop and why she is crying. Maybe it's just me but that's how I see it.

I feel like the song isn't trying to convey a hiden message, I mean it straight up says in the beginning that Miku went out drinking in the evening, probably to numb her self hatred she later expresses in the song. Personally I relate to a part of this song, the one starting at 1:52 . To me it reminds me of the feeling of wanting to “vomit” out all of the negative emotions, that slop in your chest that keeps weighing you down and can only be ignored in happy moments.

Fun fact: I can’t vomit, I rarely if ever do. I feel the nausea feeling but I can do nothing more than just retch and spit. It sounds like a good thing but I feel like vomiting helps ease the feeling of nausea sometimes, and I can’t get that relief anytime I’m sick. Anyone with a similar problem?
