The puppet/rag doll is a kid with some sort of anxiety disorder, I assume OCD or a Phobic disorder, the Amygdala is, well... the Amygdala (the part of the brain that controls the fight or flight system), and the Trypo puppeteer is either a metaphor for intrusive thoughts or self harm. This is about a kid with crippling anxiety and has trypophobia but because so many people say they have trypophobia without actually having any sort of phobia, leading to people thinking that trypophobia isn't really or not a big deal, he's not taken seriously and doesn't get the help he needs. I got bombarded by GHOST songs in my recommended, so I was like, "oh they got a lotta these," so I went to the channel, saw this and clicked on it cause it looked interesting, and halfway through the song I was like "oh sht wait a minute." Perhaps. Hear me out, plz; “Amygdala’s Rag Doll” is the story of a young boy accidentally starting a horrible house fire, where all his family perished and he personally suffered intense injuries. Even after being rescued and restored of his charred skin, he was trapped in terrible physical and mental problems, such as his skin burning so bad that he viewed the burned areas as stitched rags, whilst his injuries were restored a little while later, he only saw the holes caused by the many cauterisations he had whilst the doctors were fixing his non-burn injuries. The boy continued to believe he was a rag doll, due to how his burned areas were stitched together and had tons of “holes”. Not just that, due to all the smoke inhalation, his lungs were in horrible shape and he felt he couldn’t breathe anymore because it was such a struggle to do so, in which only fed into the delusion he wasn’t human. A bit late to this, but to me this song seems like a representation of C-PTSD, (complex post traumatic stress disorder) specifically childhood trauma. The constant talking about holes, is likely the missing pieces of somebody’s memory due to their brain hiding trauma. It quite literally says the holes are the missing memories from the line “Holes in my memory.” When you experience something traumatic enough to cause PTSD, your brain can’t process it properly as it would with other memories, and it may tried to hard the more extreme or “important” parts of the memory. This person’s specific trauma may have made them feel like a rag doll of some sorts, or a toy that people use to take their anger out. “Vexatious my amygdala” The amygdala is a part of the brain for processing emotions and memories, from the line it seems that he could be frustrated or fearful, and that he can’t control it. Somebody who has PTSD has heightened stress and anger.

Oh my gosh, when you have skin picking disorder/dermatillomania, this song hits SO different… My therapist praised me for saying I “chose” to pick my own skin when I was anxious and I pointed out how it can be totally unconscious and I in a trance lose track of time while doing it. “Well, you still choose to continue doing it when you realize it’s happening.” He retorted. I knew I wasn’t going to convince him and just didn’t say more. That is the hell of skin picking and other body focused repetitive behaviors, it literally walks the line between complex intentional behavior from the frontal lobe, and the unconscious reactions of the amygdala. As a result, it is often unfairly compared to addiction, which is also a disease people say is a result of poor willpower. This is far from the case. Like I said, I literally have lost track of multiple hours picking holes in myself. It’s hard to explain to someone who doesn’t have it. Basically it takes a LOT of mental energy to break the repetition, because it’s a behavior relieving extreme anxiety. Even though logically nothing is stopping you from pulling your hand away, you can’t do it. You’re numbed out, hence losing track of time and not feeling much pain. Then people try to shame you out of your “bad habit” and remind you how disgusting and dangerous the behavior is, which you already are well aware of. The shame that results from that only makes the picking continue as you get more anxiety buildup from the fear of others reactions. So on some level, you take precautions to hide your picking, but you can’t just stop as easily as others might think. Usually what it takes to stop me in this “trance” is something external that triggers my amygdala (ironically), like a loud noise, someone startling me by touching my shoulder, nearly losing my balance and falling, etc. It is literally like being your amygdala’s rag doll.

I relate to this so much. I'm not diagnosed with anything and I have never speak with a professional before about this but sometimes my skin picking becomes a real problem. I unconsciously always picking the skin around my nails and on my fingertips. Just this day I managed to pull off like 5 layers of skin from one of my fingertips. They always start to bleed and hurt. One time I couldn't even hold a pencil because of the damage, it just hurt so much. I have tried everything to stop this, but I just can't. It's so unconscious to me now, I don't even notice doing it. I tried to tape them, cut my nails extra short, putting on rings to focus on those instead but nothing. Because even if I stop with my fingers I continue with my lips and pick those instead. So, if anybody has any tips on how to stop, please share. Like I don't even know why am I doing it.

So what i got from this song is: he creates voodoo doll of himself because it says :an eye for an eye that's how the game works, clearly this is about a boy who hates himself, with amygdala (meaning the parts of his mind that control his emotions are controlling his self harming actions) so he pokes holes into himself deteriorating his brains ethical functions, saying: the frontal lobe placed me behind my own strings aka amygdala/unstable emotions, meaning he has gone mad with his self harming and his brain isn't functioning and he is losing memory and is in fear of the consequence of what he has done saying: it should've never been wound, which is his regret from doing it claiming in the end it was all his fault saying he is sorry.
update: i put more consideration in the lyrics regarding to fire; i think he started the doll on fire which also started him on fire, it explains the specific types of holes created on the doll from it burning but it explains why he can't inhale or exhale, the fire is choking him out, he pulls the fire alarm as a last resort of help from saving him from himself.
also to note the lyrics: the dull assumption that I've tasted decency, waiting for the embers to lose their glow, and i and i don't know, because all I've ever known were clusters of holes, they say that that the assumption that they have been treated well by them-self or anyone else is dull, than say how they are waiting for the fire (the pain and or self inflicted abuse) to go away, and than after that they say they don't know, because all they have ever known is their self hatred, now that i think about it this could be a song about someone who hates them-self and cuts them-self and they try to commit suicide by starting them-self on fire but halfway through the decision they change their mind.

edit: Oh my goodness, the amount of replies that I left unanswered for about 2 years! I had no idea what was on my mind on who I was 2 years ago, but i believe I muted the comment section. The only time I knew this comment was because I listened to this song once again.
If I recall, when I commented this for the first time, I really had no knowledge about Oliver. The only way that I knew him was through Bee and Puppycat. When I figured out a vocaloid voiced Puppycat, I went on and search the internet and found out that the majority of his songs are dark and somehow twisted. I immediately assumed he had a dark past, which resulted to me commenting this.

I got bombarded by GHOST songs in my recommended, so I was like, "oh they got a lotta these," so I went to the channel, saw this and clicked on it cause it looked interesting, and halfway through the song I was like "oh sht wait a minute." Never in my life did I find a popular song through a creator instead of the other way around.

“Amygdala’s Rag Doll” is the story of a young boy accidentally starting a horrible house fire, where all his family perished and he personally suffered intense injuries. Even after being rescued and restored of his charred skin, he was trapped in terrible physical and mental problems, such as his skin burning so bad that he viewed the burned areas as stitched rags, whilst his injuries were restored a little while later, he only saw the holes caused by the many cauterisations he had whilst the doctors were fixing his non-burn injuries.
The boy continued to believe he was a rag doll, due to how his burned areas were stitched together and had tons of “holes”. Not just that, due to all the smoke inhalation, his lungs were in horrible shape and he felt he couldn’t breathe anymore because it was such a struggle to do so, in which only fed into the delusion he wasn’t human. After the traumatic experience, the combination of his guilt complex and his PTSD, he labelled himself as the world-hating “trypo-puppeteer” for causing the fire that ‘killed’ him and killed his family.
As the boy further fell into the delusion he told himself, he begun losing memories of his beloved family and his PSTD engulfed the entirety of his psychological state… like a larvae, till nothing remained but a self-hating, physically and mentally scorched young boy, who views himself as a lifeless Ragdoll

A bit late to this, but to me this song seems like a representation of C-PTSD, (complex post traumatic stress disorder) specifically childhood trauma.
The constant talking about holes, is likely the missing pieces of somebody’s memory due to their brain hiding trauma. It quite literally says the holes are the missing memories from the line “Holes in my memory.” When you experience something traumatic enough to cause PTSD, your brain can’t process it properly as it would with other memories, and it may tried to hard the more extreme or “important” parts of the memory.
This person’s specific trauma may have made them feel like a rag doll of some sorts, or a toy that people use to take their anger out.
“Vexatious my amygdala” The amygdala is a part of the brain for processing emotions and memories, from the line it seems that he could be frustrated or fearful, and that he can’t control it. Somebody who has PTSD has heightened stress and anger.

I've listened to this song since it was dropped, but now, as an adult, I find myself relating it to my own struggles with having ADHD. Oh my gosh, when you have skin picking disorder/dermatillomania, this song hits SO different…
My therapist praised me for saying I “chose” to pick my own skin when I was anxious and I pointed out how it can be totally unconscious and I in a trance lose track of time while doing it. “Well, you still choose to continue doing it when you realize it’s happening.” He retorted. I knew I wasn’t going to convince him and just didn’t say more.
That is the hell of skin picking and other body focused repetitive behaviors, it literally walks the line between complex intentional behavior from the frontal lobe, and the unconscious reactions of the amygdala. As a result, it is often unfairly compared to addiction, which is also a disease people say is a result of poor willpower.
This is far from the case. Like I said, I literally have lost track of multiple hours picking holes in myself. It’s hard to explain to someone who doesn’t have it. Basically it takes a LOT of mental energy to break the repetition, because it’s a behavior relieving extreme anxiety. Even though logically nothing is stopping you from pulling your hand away, you can’t do it. You’re numbed out, hence losing track of time and not feeling much pain.
Then people try to shame you out of your “bad habit” and remind you how disgusting and dangerous the behavior is, which you already are well aware of. The shame that results from that only makes the picking continue as you get more anxiety buildup from the fear of others reactions. So on some level, you take precautions to hide your picking, but you can’t just stop as easily as others might think.
Usually what it takes to stop me in this “trance” is something external that triggers my amygdala (ironically), like a loud noise, someone startling me by touching my shoulder, nearly losing my balance and falling, etc. It is literally like being your amygdala’s rag doll.

I relate to this so much. I'm not diagnosed with anything and I have never speak with a professional before about this but sometimes my skin picking becomes a real problem.
I unconsciously always picking the skin around my nails and on my fingertips. Just this day I managed to pull off like 5 layers of skin from one of my fingertips. They always start to bleed and hurt. One time I couldn't even hold a pencil because of the damage, it just hurt so much.
I have tried everything to stop this, but I just can't. It's so unconscious to me now, I don't even notice doing it. I tried to tape them, cut my nails extra short, putting on rings to focus on those instead but nothing. Because even if I stop with my fingers I continue with my lips and pick those instead.
So, if anybody has any tips on how to stop, please share. Like I don't even know why am I doing it.
