This song isn’t about Miku feeling upset about the world. In this song Miku has lost her boyfriend from him committing and not accepting his death. This shows the stages of sadness/ grief showing how she wasn’t accepting his death and slowly starts to bottle up her emotions by screaming not knowing how to express her emotions due to her boyfriend being dead. The screams are not full of hate,sadness,confusion it’s just her emotions on not knowing how to feel. On the last part of the song she slowly starts to accept his death knowing he wasn’t alive which shows how the last scream was the loudest one.

I think this song is about loosing a close friend from them committing not alive and as time passes you start to slowly forget important aspects about them and the deep sorrow and grief that comes with it. Miku is faced with what seems like emotional numbness as she screams out each time she remembers a little bit or realizes she forgot something about them. The grave (seen at 0:53) and the line "Your hand I'm squeezing is cold" (seen at 2:02) supports that the boy is dead. I also think that she may have found the body from the boy's posture and how her face changes from crying to sort of terror between 2:25 and 2:47 as she seems to remember the last time she saw him. At the end of the song right before the final scream, she admits that she's forgetting his voice which is awful. This song truly is a masterpiece and is one of my favorites but from these comments I feel like the meaning is lost in it's simplicity and the fact the title is just あ :(
It makes sense to be honest, You can see a bloody band-aid on the boy's wrist when they were holding hands which could signify that he was depressed and hurting himself (Or it could mean something else and I'm looking too deep into it.)

If I’m analyzing this correctly, it’s about losing someone who is close to you. Miku is lamenting the death of someone she held close to her, (I think she had plans to marry them??). Okay but since nobody is theorizing on this I'll do it myself >:T The most likely explanation is about Miku meeting this kid and singing for him to make him happy. (Since she's a vocaloid and all that.) but if she's a vocaloid then how can she interact with him? The answer is that vocaloids interacting with outside humans not just as characters in a story isn't taboo. It's been explored in songs aside from this. I.e. Scissorloid. And she loves this boy a lot as it's evident, but day by day she begins to realize that he's real and she isn't. That he will stop wanting to hear her sing. And the longer she's with him, the more he goes 'cold' as miku describes while holding his hand. This makes me think of a corpse and how he warmth leaves your body soon after you die. This can be symbolic of their relationship/friendship dying out as he gets older. Their future is dark, she doesn't know what to sing for him as he's not giving her code. Eventually, she waits and waits for him to return, only to see he's a grown man. And it shows that she hasn't aged a day. Because, you know, she's a vocaloid. I think this song is about loosing a close friend from them committing not alive and as time passes you start to slowly forget important aspects about them and the deep sorrow and grief that comes with it. Miku is faced with what seems like emotional numbness as she screams out each time she remembers a little bit or realizes she forgot something about them. The grave (seen at 0:53) and the line "Your hand I'm squeezing is cold" (seen at 2:02) supports that the boy is dead. I also think that she may have found the body from the boy's posture and how her face changes from crying to sort of terror between 2:25 and 2:47 as she seems to remember the last time she saw him. At the end of the song right before the final scream, she admits that she's forgetting his voice which is awful.
This song truly is a masterpiece and is one of my favorites but from these comments I feel like the meaning is lost in it's simplicity and the fact the title is just あ :(

If I’m analyzing this correctly, it’s about losing someone who is close to you. Miku is lamenting the death of someone she held close to her, (I think she had plans to marry them??). Regardless, in attempts to make her pain go away, Miku tries to erase the person from her memory. This only makes her grief worsen, as she is feels guilty for trying to forget them, and still wants to keep the memories of them. In the end, Miku is unable to do anything but cry.

The most likely explanation is about Miku meeting this kid and singing for him to make him happy. (Since she's a vocaloid and all that.) but if she's a vocaloid then how can she interact with him? The answer is that vocaloids interacting with outside humans not just as characters in a story isn't taboo. It's been explored in songs aside from this. I.e. Scissorloid. And she loves this boy a lot as it's evident, but day by day she begins to realize that he's real and she isn't. That he will stop wanting to hear her sing. And the longer she's with him, the more he goes 'cold' as miku describes while holding his hand. This makes me think of a corpse and how he warmth leaves your body soon after you die. This can be symbolic of their relationship/friendship dying out as he gets older. Their future is dark, she doesn't know what to sing for him as he's not giving her code. Eventually, she waits and waits for him to return, only to see he's a grown man. And it shows that she hasn't aged a day. Because, you know, she's a vocaloid. She'll never be able to live like he does, as she's not 'human' and she absolutely loses her mind. I think the creepy mouth stuff at the end is symbolic of how she only knew how to show her love by singing. And that's a creepy ass way of portraying it, don't get me wrong!! A: Has a medical issue and is on his death bed , signaling his hand in a lower position than hers
