Yes, that's correct. Vitamix actually recommends that one should put the heaviest to lightest items in order. If this is done, you shouldn't have to use the tamper and it will come out silky smooth.
Way too much ice in that smoothie. You also failed to mention that the blades run at approximately 240 miles per hour which intern breaks the cell walls of the vegetables and fruits that you were making a smoothie out so the body can better break down the nutrients. The other cheap blenders are not going to do this. Not to mention the warranty and customer service if you need it.

I think you would have better results with the smoothie if you redid it properly.
I think the secret is that the blades in the vitamix aren't sharp, so they pulverize rather than chop the food. America's Test Kitchen consistently ranks one of the less expensive Vitamixes (legacy model with a taller, thinner container) at the top of their list. It's about half the price of this model.
Try comparing to Ninja for $49. I made delicious walnut butter in the 16 oz. size in a minute or two (a few tablespoons just for myself), and I make kale, blueberry, yogurt and coconut water smoothies daily in the larger blender that has three stacks of blades. Use frozen berries and you do not need ice. Easy to clean and store.

But it's far from done. I chewed up a stainless steel spoon in there (all bent, nicked and warped) about 9 years ago. While the spoon took a good beating, the 5200 kept on roaring without issue for another decade. And I like very thick smoothies/sorbets/shakes and have ground all sorts of things. So. . I don't know about this Ninja stuff. 😂😂😂😂 I've been through too many "good" blenders pre-Vitamix. If it ain't Vitamix or Blendtech, I'm pretty much not listening.
Hi! I recently bought the reconditioned new "A2500" model at a great price online on Black Friday (I didn't received it yet!), but now I hesitate because the reconditioned "Standard Programs" is currently also at a great price ($30 lower than the reconditioned "A2500"). Both seem to have the same features (3 preset programs), but the A2500 is more "techno". The jars are also different and that's what makes me the most hesitant, because the jar of the Standard Programs seems more practical for small blend. Do you have a preference? Thank you :)
Sarah Doublali - don't be afraid of a certified refurbished model Vitamix.. I've had mine for 10.5 years - a refurb. My mother also got a refurb 9 years ago that she abused terribly (not following instructions). Because she was still in her 5 year warranty period (yes, refurbs come with 5 years), she called them up. They had her send it in. In less than a week (she's in Ohio as are they so. . . ) they sent her a new one, shipping paid both ways. Also, on the standard vs the techno version - you are talking a difference of only $30 (now, if that's actually a budget buster, definitely switch them). The techno version jars a a great feature (pricy though). Unlike the standard edition, you'll be able to expand capabilities for years to come. The Perfect Blend app and scale adds even more capabilities to the smart series Vitamixes.
Mine was refurb as well. I've had it for 7 years now. I am a Vitamix advocate. They should be paying me😂😂The first piece of equipment that does what it says it does
You don't need to hold on to the lid!!! I am a Vitamix Demonstrator and you did not show Vitamix well. I think you should get to know a machine and do your research before you start reviewing anything actually. There's a recipe book that shows you exactly how to use the Vitamix properly.
If you asked a person who didn't know how to drive to test drive a Ferrari you would have poor results. Vitamix provides very clear instructions on how to layer ingredients for effective blending and you didn't follow. The same power and blending results also come with other Vitamix blenders at much lower price points - pretty obvious you're just trying to dissuade people from buying.
We eat so much peanut butter and almond butter that I am saving the amount of plastic waste on the planet by making my own in my vitamix. I use it for everything.
Great vid, if you want you’re smoothie work well, you shouldn’t add too much „ice“, while the frozen strawberrys you added count as ice as well. Aaaand you have to put in the softer ingredients first and then the harder ones, again the frozen strawberries. And in this case the ice cubes are too much ice, therefore you’re smoothie was more of a mash pulpy thing😄
The Vitamix is worth it. First 750 pro bought had issues as coupling shredded and motor almost burn up. Blade was seized from factory? Return it and tried the newer revision with wider jar and haven't had a issue since, had it for 5 years and upgraded and ended up selling it for almost the same price I paid for it. Now have the A3500 and use it pretty much daily lately to make my birds food and my green smoothies. I hated the clear plastic jar at first on the new a3500, as almost was going to get another 750 pro, but grown to like it better as did get use to it. If you do get the Assent series buy the Vitamix Ascent Series 48-Ounce Self-Detect Wet Blender Container. I think they sure bundle this jar instead of the 64 Ounce Jar with the blender. The 48 ounce Jar is my go to as do smaller batches.
Far more time and effort put into making the video "fun and cute" to add unnecessary content than time spent to understand and properly use the product you are reviewing. There's a very good reason why the professionals use mostly nothing but vita mixes vs any other blender.
Not excellent at all! Loading up the frozen first while making a smoothie was her fault and the smoothie did not blend properly. The Vitamix is a more than capable machine in the hands of people who follow instructions and have a little sense.
Excellent video ? Really ? She doesn't even know how to do a proper smoothie. That was a waste of time watching this. ^^ (Your videos are great btw ;) )
Mine is the old 3600 and is still mixing, I like it because It has a reverse and if stuff starts getting stuck you bump the reverse and it fees it up. Vitamix are expensive but for a few exceptions they last pretty much forever. I bought it used over 20 years ago and it still works but 750 bucks is a lot of money, you will need another stimulus check from the feds to buy that one.
Vitamix sells blenders a third the price of the one you reviewed with the same power and features, just less automation. You're also buying durability.
Our Vitamix is over 20 years old and just now having an issue on the variable speed that can probably be fixed. But since we've used it for this long, we are trading it in with VVitamix and are getting a new one. Worth the investment to us. :D
Just Buy, Biolomix and Vecelo 2200 Watt Professional Blenders are a Vitamix dupe or alternative that works better for 1/4 of the cost. Most of the above blenders cost around 100 dollars or less.
if you want sweet tasting smoothies you just need to add i/4 cup of strawberry jelly or jam. All stores Jamba juice and others know this that is life. it taste good for a reason
Get the A2300 instead. It is the most basic model with 10 year warranty. Anything higher in price and model number, and you are just paying for extra features such as timer pre-settings and buttons. It is more expensive because it has a rpm power that is 16 times stronger than a lower-end blender. You can make your own nut butters, soups, nut milks, ice creams and smoothies without or less sodium, sugar, additives and preservatives. Lastly, the ascent series is an updated system with accessories that are more compatible with each other than any past series. You can get the dry container to make flours instead of nut butters. It comes in a smaller wet container, single serve container for on the go and 8 ounce container for spices, coffee or baby food. These are points that were missed in the video.
The cheapest reconditioned one was this and it was $400 in sgd ouch but I’m begging my mum to buy for me cause I love ice cream, putting frozen fruits in without water (mine broke because of that), make nut butter. I want to make my own peanut butter so badly since I wanna be more healthy. Organic Peanut butter are all from overseas here so it’s pricy
Another thing to add is the rentability! making frozen smoothies and 5 minutes soups in a convencional blender, I want to see how many time endures. My vitamix has 10 years warranty . But as you know in your case, "ignorance is a bless"
I bought my. Vitamix in the year of 2000, model 5000 the whole nutrition center, I paid $ 700.00, its the best investment I have ever made, I use it constantly, practically every day, I am looking younger than my age, I am very pretty, I am over 70 years, I am older than Donald Trump, I am full of vitality, and 3 have recommended it to many people. Vitamix is a true blessing from God, without it I would be long gone. Thank you Vitamix.
Kristian čačić internals are identical for all home vitamix models. Just get one with variable speed dial. 5200, or the newer e310/e320. A few different names for them as different sellers like costco wanted unique names/model numbers. Mine is the turboblend vs, but is identical, even the look, to the 5200.
Get the 2500 if your torn between the 2. Really you could get the 2300. You are paying about $100 to move up from the 2300 to 2500 to gain 3 pre-procrammed settings. You are paying $150 between the 2500 and 3300 just to now have touch screen and programmable timer. That is not worth it to me. Otherwise, all of the Vitamix Ascent series is exactly the same. If you like pre programmed settings, pair any of the blenders in the Ascent series (a2300, a2500, a3300, a3500) with the Perfect Blend scale and app and you add 17 pre programmed settings just like that (I got the scale refurbed for $60 and the app is free).
Both are durable and better. Save your money and get the 2500 and call it a day. All you are paying an extra $100-plus for is a digital touch screen an 5 programs.
Compare the warranties, if you really want to understand the price difference. The Vitamix A2500 carries a 10-yr full warranty. The KitchenAid 5-Speed Diamond Series carries a 1-yr full, 5-yr limited (and I'm sure the "limited" will be so limited as to not be of any value). Even re-conditioned, the A2500, selling on Amazon, carries a 5-yr full warranty. If your finances are limited, then the KitchenAid will be a fine choice.
What is the horse power for the vitamix and the lower cost blender? You are comparing tomatoes with potatoes not apple to apple and make sure the apple skin is the same color and same kind. Hope that will help you further your broad cast. I was driving and I didn’t want to touch my phone but it made me want to just throw my phone out the window because of you.
Just got my Explorian (refurbished) for bargain price a little over $200. I am so psyched and happy. I have no idea how I even survived without it! I've been vegan (with severe dairy allergy) going on 14 yrs now. I've gone thru at least 3 machines! Just buy it instead of your next machine--you won't be sorry!
You made peanut butter with vitamix but you didn't give it more time being oily and creamy. Also I clean it with hot water and it was easy to be cleaned. You should put soup dish and then turn it on to clean it. Nice try
Your smoothie didn't turn out because you made it wrong. You have to have a little liquid in there as well. Also, you always put your leafy products first and all your frozen goods at the very top so the blades are spinning nice and fast by the time the strawberries and I said them.
Clearly the instructions weren’t followed on the Vitamix in how you add your foods. Had she followed them, the blending experience would have been superb. *Note: Read your instructions.*
You also did not add the ingredients in the right order or enough liquid. That particular smoothie mixture should never have required a tamper. Also, you would have been more convincing (seeing that you've admitted not being a good cook) if you'd followed one of the recipes in the Vitamix or other blender's recipe book. I used to kill a $100 to $200 blender about every 18 months. I finally got tired of that and bought a refurbished unit from Vitamix. That was 10.5 years ago. I accidentally left a spoon in a smoothie mix. The spoon didn't fare so well, but the Vitamix still churns 9.5 years later. If you are only into light blending (like yogurtt, soft, unfrozen fruits without grainy textures and small seeds from time to time, a Vitamix is absolute overkill. But if you are really into the culinary, from chopping, to liquidy mixtures, to nut butters, frozen treats, to doughs, or hot soups, or just a seriously religious smoothie and juice nut, and/or the unit will be used pretty much regularly by or for a family (large portions and/or multiple users), you may get by with a Ninja, but i would recommend nothing less than a Vitamix or Blendtech for the best most consistent results and longevity. The new Vitamix like this series come with a 10 year warranty.

No. I have had smoothies with frozen chunks of fruit left over and milkshakes that simply stopped blending (as if the blades no longer moved) and had to be turned on and off 2 - 3 times to start again.
Ninja is junk compared to vitamix
I would be curious to know if you are saying this 3 years down the road.

I have a 13 year old institutional vitamix I did move the blade assembly into a bpa free jug. built like a tank. I have had to replace the coupler on the blender once. cost about 5 bucks. I bought mine on ebay cheap. It was well used when I got it in 2005
@@dizzyswimmer mine is almost 11! Because I'm a gadget fein and there was a hot sale combined with points, I upgraded to a Vitamix a3300 for the extended container family and other smart capabilities. While I tend to prefer my workhorse appliances to be strong, durable, but dumb, this was almost the same price as a "dumb" Vitamix with the sales and all. 😂😂 My 11 year may need some minor service, just now in it's life.
Love my Vitamix, highly recommended! I replaced my KA food processor and KA blender.
Perhaps you should follow the directions and watch the CD that comes with your Vitamix and follow a recipe for your smoothies.
cant really watch a CD, haha

Why did you not start off with the first speed with the Lower cost blender like how you did it for the vitamix?
Same thing I does say with their reviews... seems like they just advertising falsely...
They should be paying me😂😂The first piece of equipment that does what it says it does
Now that the new instapot blender is out for less than $100, I'd be curious if you might redo this test using that vs the Vitamix
I bought my Osterizer blender at least a dozen years ago for about $35. I make peanut butter in my Cuisinart food processor.
yeah? well my oster died in 6 months. vitamix is on the way
you should re-do the video but this time get the smart scale and the blending app.... you couldn't mess up then ....
What makes you think she is capable of following directions from an app, let alone properly using a scale?
I have this blender and I love it. Only problem is that it's loud af. But with the power it has it's expected
They do have more expensive one that comes in a clear chamber -that makes it silent. Ck out my vitamix review ruclips.net/video/HDCtJBwc1WI/видео.html
Thats why their is a tamper
You put WAY to much ice in that smoothie...u dont need any liquid with a vitamix u need a small scoop of ice and fruit thats it!
You don't need to hold on to the lid!!! I am a Vitamix Demonstrator and you did not show Vitamix well. I think you should get to know a machine and do your research before you start reviewing anything actually. There's a recipe book that shows you exactly how to use the Vitamix properly.
Nice review! Did you have any problems with this blender?
Not me. My 2nd purchase. Ck out my review Vitamix ruclips.net/video/HDCtJBwc1WI/видео.html
I bought an E310 on sale for $299 and it's so good even though it's a little smaller than the others. Heck with that Kitchen Aid blender for $200.
And in this case the ice cubes are too much ice, therefore you’re smoothie was more of a mash pulpy thing😄
any other uses for the tamper ?

hi L...

better right is = MADE IN AMERICA =
BIG THUMBS DOWN
Tip: if you are going to review an expensive product, do proper due diligence and study the product FIRST, before you create a review.
Some of these blenders are over priced and you paying for the names, You just burning holes through your pockets, I'll stick with my blendtec wide, nutribullet 900 and 1000 pros, I'm very happy with the way all three of them performs.
@@chuckychuck awfully late reply there... But you might want to scroll down in the comments to the one from Nancy Rose...
You get what you pay for. Personally, I'd rather have something that will easily last my lifetime vs the cheaper blenders. You'd be surprised at what these vita mixes can handle.
There's a very good reason why the professionals use mostly nothing but vita mixes vs any other blender.
Excellent video! Thanks so much for including a small clip of mine on the bottom right @0:29. 😁❤️🙏🏾
Blending With Henry because of you brother and LIFE is NOYOKE I changed my ninja pro 😂 and got vitamix a2500 😎🥂🎉 never going back.
Right on Peter!!! Thanks for the nice feedback. I love the A2500!
Fun seeing Derek from Simnett Nutrition pop up at 0:30 - and yes I would call him a fanatic
Nonsense i want this blender so so bad
Ok OK, take my money, buying one.
Also, watching infomercials or roadshow demos on youtube is a basic resource on operating the vitamix more creatively and efficiently.
What about rice to rice flour?
When making soup you don’t have to put your hand on the blender and stand there you can walk away if you want
Best Machine , I ever own, And still own.
I quit watching when she said her homemade peanut butter tasted like store bought. Hard to believe anything after that.
Another thing to add is the rentability! making frozen smoothies and 5 minutes soups in a convencional blender, I want to see how many time endures. My vitamix has 10 years warranty . But as you know in your case, "ignorance is a bless"
The 10 year warranty free shipping both ways
Good video. Bought it! Thank you.
the peanut butter is pink?
I bought my. Vitamix in the year of 2000, model 5000 the whole nutrition center, I paid $ 700.00, its the best investment I have ever made, I use it constantly, practically every day, I am looking younger than my age, I am very pretty, I am over 70 years, I am older than Donald Trump, I am full of vitality, and 3 have recommended it to many people. Vitamix is a true blessing from God, without it I would be long gone. Thank you Vitamix.
Can you please help me i am between vitamix ascent 2500 and 3500??
Which is more durable and better ?
Though I'd like the 5 minute soups I also prefer not to heat my smoothies too much.
TSUKU YOMI use ice ontop
Thank You- really enjoyed your review. And your personality. Very helpful.
You needed to add liquid into the smoothie. Like minimum half a cup.
Awesome video. I feel really inclined to buy this. That peanut butter!!! Delicious.
Next time, when comparing price you might want to mention Certified Reconditioned. Much less money.
You made peanut butter with vitamix but you didn't give it more time being oily and creamy. Also I clean it with hot water and it was easy to be cleaned. You should put soup dish and then turn it on to clean it.
Nice try
"I'm stupid...and I'm going to prove it."
not a glass mixing jug at £400.00 plus is a total dealbreaker for me if it aint made of glasss you are going to get plastic in your food.
waaaaa!
Kale should have been first not the strawberries
Ck out my review Vitamix ruclips.net/video/HDCtJBwc1WI/видео.html
Your smoothie didn't turn out because you made it wrong. You have to have a little liquid in there as well. Also, you always put your leafy products first and all your frozen goods at the very top so the blades are spinning nice and fast by the time the strawberries and I said them.
I have a Ninja professional blender and I dont need a wand thingy to blend or crush anything. Vitamix is over 700 dollars that don't work.
These things can be found on sale for $300-$350 new. So, yes, it is worth it.
The new Vitamix like this series come with a 10 year warranty.
so cute !! ..machine 😏
recently bought brand new A2300 =430$ CAD +tx
-Amazon Prime Days

-all other 100$+ blenders broke at the blade attachment area within a year of purchase ; easily wasted several hundreds dollars within a few short years ¡¡
Is the Vitamix worth the hype? No
Is it a good blender? Yes
Is it well constructed and of quality materials? Yes
Does it make perfect blends every time? No. I have had smoothies with frozen chunks of fruit left over and milkshakes that simply stopped blending (as if the blades no longer moved) and
had to be turned on and off 2 - 3 times to start again.
What is the real value of the various models? I'd say about $179 to $289
Do I know exactly how to use one? Absolutely

I haven’t liked vitamix since they copied blendtech’s carafe style. I took mine back. I now have a 99.00 Ace 60 by Instant Pot that has a glass carafe, instead of plastic. I love my 99.00 one better, it even has a heater and can cook soup.

The key to using a sophisticated blender, no different than a Ceado E37S and ECM Synchronika is practicing with it until you get it right. Don't take phone calls while experimenting. You brought in baseball to your presentation. Well, Perfect practice makes perfect. My son could tell you that. But here is the scoop. If you want to be as good as Thomas Keller, You need to experiment all the way to making your own menu that you can charge like Thomas Keller at $300 a visit and a 1 year waiting list to a wonderful revelation. You are entering a world of making people happy with food.
the smoothie was your fault. The kale was supposed to go in before the frozen strawberries
Obviously you are not familiar with the instruction manual, you need the more soft ingridients on the base and enough liquid , the tamper is needed to give the blender no vacuum to work, that is what is for!!!
Come on, vita mix at sams club and costco $299
You wouldn't need the tamper if it shipped with the more efficient sized 48 oz container like it should.
As stated in my favorite cartoon, The Regular Show, "Check that grammar bro!" If I heard you correctly, EVISCERATE means to disembowel or deprive. Try EMULSION. Its also a cooking term.
