This is going to sound odd but in the UK we have a chemist called boots they sell cotton reading gloves so you don't put fingerprints on your new book.
A note on those missing issues of TMNT in this compendium. Those were the Rick Veitch issues and I guess he has the rights to them which is why they aren't included. It's sad as they're some of the best of that non-Eastman/Laird part of the series. They're also referenced a handful of times, though certainly not as glaring of an omission as issue 8 in the first compendium, as that introduced reoccurring character Renet.
I was originally looking forward to collecting the series in these compendiums, but after hearing about the missing issues, I decided to go the crazy and much more expensive route of just buying up the entire series in single issues. Took me a while, but now it's complete and not going anywhere. It's just a shame fans will likely never get to experience the full series any other way.
Missing issues defeats the putpose of the omnis
Really wish that the Red Sonja was omni size, an amazing lost effort there.

Disappointed about the TMNT as when I saw that on your pile I was very excited. But for me, it's all or nothing. So if it's missing issues then I'm not interested.
But super excited for Batman and Hellboy.

I already bought the Batman omni. I have the smaller versions of Hellboy and I'm happy with those. That Red Sonja is tempting...
By foregoing the library editions of Hellboy, you completely discarded all of the short stories and issue covers as none of those are in the Monster-Sized book

This is going to be my first step into Hellboy. I was hoping they'd make one that was Marvel/DC omni sized, but this has everything I need to read to get started so I'm getting it. I think one big book would be fine, I just like everything to be the same size lol

Too bad about that horrible re-coloring on Red Sonja, it just butchers it. Buy the floppies for the real experience. But yeah, the Batman book is stellar and so is Hellboy. I just wish Dark Horse would do a Mignolaverse omnibus series in proper order, not just Hellboy!
I absolutely loved every issue of Nice House on the Lake I got, then it went on a break and by the time it came back I had dropped comics and switched to manga.

That is mental that Arris has just got his first omnibus.
I've been watching Variant for a couple of years as background noise whilst gaming but 3-4 month ago i finally decided to get into collecting comics, starting with grabbing the two Secret Wars titles ('84 & Hickman).
Since then I've bought 16 with another 5 currently ordered 🙈 it does get expensive, cause you to have to work out space to store them and also can be daunting on where to get into character's story arcs as well with continuity but its been awesome thus far.
Currently still in thr stage of grabbing whats in print and available right now but will soon hit thr stage of having to sit back and hope for reprints to get announced.
Grabbed some John Byrne titles (both Fantastic Four volumes, The Thing, Alpha Flight), some Hickman (both Avengers and both Fantastic Four), grabbed two of Brubaker's Captain America titles (had the last title preordered but doesnt appear to have dispatched yesterday so will have to check on that later) and also got Book Of Doom. Wasnt until focusing on omnibus that I realised I'm more partial to Marvel than DC but got Knightfall Vol 1 and Gotham Central with Loeb's Omnibus amongst my orders from today.
It crazy addicting when you realize you can get these full runs for relatively cheap… and easy

I've got the TMNT Compendiums but at this publishing rate it'll take 5 years to cover the whole Mirage run. IDW needs to speed up!
Hopefully IDW still exists in 5 years but I'm not holding my breath.

I'm not shocked by the TMNT omni, IDW is bleeding, they are damn near broke.They will cut corners hard to raise that profit.
